Hey guys, I've been lurking around in the photography section for a while and have finally decided to get a new camera since i may have some spare money left over from xmas. I have read the reviews in the other thread of the camera's you guys have, but would like a personal opinion of which camera you feel is the best at the moment under the $2000 mark. (Thats my absolute maximum price. So, the lower the price; the better ) I know people have different ideals and needs for what they want the camera to do for them specifically; however i recently only came onto the photography scene so a little guidance would be much appreciated. My good mate bought a Canon 300D earlier this year, so theres my starting block. A camera with similar or better features than that. Also, i do NOT mind if the camera is one or two models old now, nor do i mind if its second hand. As long as it takes the photos i'd like to be able to take - then im a happy man Bascially - think of what you'd want your camera to do - and ill probably want to do that too at some stage! For example, i currently work out at a coal mine for Rio Tinto and would love to take some photos of the grunge, dirty coal washing plant and maybe even get a nighttime photoshoot of the sklyine in with a coal pit as the background. I reckon you could get 6 cars total. (plus another 2 white ones if you wanted) 2 grey's (Chris & Lenno) 2 maroon's (Ian & ...) 2 blue's. (Dave & Josh) Tis a fair way away though - so people may have something come up so thety wont be able to get their skyline to the ceremony that weekend. But looks like you can get some sort of nice ordering/clour matching of cars.

Thanks for the support guys - in the process of discussion with few friends now about mechanics they know etc etc... If they cant do the job quickly and the mods are still a problem then ill get those parts off ya thanks Ian. After i get it all cleared up then ill get the frontbar adjusted one arvo with you too Ian. Should be fun to see what its held on by!!!! The biggest pain in the bum about all of this is the timing of the defect. Nearly every workshop is taking some sort of time off over teh xmas/new year break - so its making it hard trying to get this stuff cleared in 21days and juggle work around too! But ill see how i go... BTW: Merry xmas to all! And have a very hungover new year

Yeah thanks for a heads up to linton and chris regarding this defect topic. I might need to borrow that stuff off you too Ian. The pod and bov, that is. Gold rim? Sounds nice But i needed new tyres at anyrate so im happy to fork that money out there. And im right when assuming that i get this blue slip for the car, but then if i get pulled over again that the blue slip WONT cover it and the tests will need redoing. The only way in future to avoid this is to obtain engineering certificates yeah? -Dave.

Hey guys - Sunday was awesome. Many thanks to everyone involved: especially chris, paul and stace. Great to meet all new faces too. Ill have to get you to send me you pics/vids (Ian & Chris). Ill PM my address. Funny how Ian was talking about living out in Singo and a few of the cops out here being harsh. Well 3 hours later when i was riving back to singo i got randomly pulled up by a highway patrol and defected for 5 differnt things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bov (releasing to atmosphere), pod (noise level), adjustable boost controller, exhaust (noise level) and tyres. Then he had the hide to tell me my apexi rsm was an apexi fc!!! And didnt wanna believe that it wasnt a programmable ecu device. NOT HAPPY ~~~ had the car back for 6 days and now its off-road again lol. Oh well..... Any suggestions on easy cheap fixes i can use to obtain my blue slip quickly? Ive talked to Linton and he's given me some tips so far. -Dave.

Hey guys - so many posts since i last checked!! I have heard NOTHING about these newie riots (whatever that means) happening at the beach. I reckon its just a bunch of 16 y.o fags just taggin onto the media trying to be cool and sms everyone they can. They wont even sho wup themselves!!!! So i say we go ahead with the cruise - wise decisions there above^^^^ and play it by ear on the day. Excellent organisation by all members and especially Chris, Paul & Stace.
