Rb30/r32 Powersteering Pump Problem
=premo= replied to handyandy28's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Had same problem, I got a mate to mill the bolt holes in the bracket so they are sloted by an extra 5mm. You could try to drill it but its a bit hard to make a seat for the bolt head. -

This is a very regretful sale, so no low ball offers. As you can see in this link they are very valuable wheels. http://nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?s...860&hl=vskf Wheels are full chrome and in very good condition. Comes with tyres but no nuts, Rears are MONONEW Motorway 235/40/R18, new have only been on dyno. Fronts are VENTUS Sport K104 235/40/R18, 95% tread. $2900 ono

What really gets up my panties is having to sell my @#!$ing car when I really dont $#!@ing want to. This possible means that I will never have a car worthy of drifting or racing at Mallala again. I will quite possibly never be so close to having exactly what I have dreamed of for the last four years again. I'm literally a dyno tune away from being able to drive/drift/race my car and I have to sell it so I can keep a job and keep my #@$!ing house. I said $#@! the house but my wife and baby need it and its wrong for some !@#$ed up reason in this world to invest in your dreams and passion when it means downgrading in lifestyle. All I want is to enjoy the one thing I've spent so much time on, to play with all the new bits I've bought for it over the past two years. To get the excitement and rush from linking the bends on Mallala at speed. Even if I get the money to build another one later in life I'm not going to have the time to do it like I have and by then my passion will probably have faded. I know its a waste of money in most peoples eyes but I think happiness, enjoyment or excitement cannot be exchanged for any sum of money. Would anyone in there right mind take a million dollars in exchange for the ability to enjoy or be happy? I know I'm probably over reacting and I wish I could settle down about this and I'll probably be over it in a month or so but right now its way $#@!ing up my panties!

Sent PM about stagea's

Can you send me some interior pics of the black stagea and some more details on both? Where is the baby seat anchorage point in a stagea and how long is the total car length (don't know if it will fit in my garage)? Thanks mate, Daniel

Fk me Carl's four door is neat as. Think I've seen it down near the truck lineup at the docks before. I really want to keep it but the more I talk it over with the wife the more I realize it needs to go. I'm going insane trying to figure out a way to keep ma car.

What about selling just the engine? I'd think the Trust manifold, waste gate, twin pod intake and T04z would fetch at least $3000 on it's own. The head has been ported and everything machined at Lewis Engines...

$18k, Whats the running gear on the RB30? I remember seeing your car at Aldgate a long time ago and it looked brand new. I'm probably looking around 300kw's+ from this setup once re-tuned but your car has way more class and with the market being so crap $15-16k would be about right I suppose. Not worth selling it in my eye's. I don't want to sell it in the first place, especially seeing I haven't even played with any of the new bits yet but I cant see a way out of it. Could try to swap it but I doubt anyone would have something that suits what I need and is value enough for me to give up my pride and joy. I'm getting a headache, this really sucks.

nah no pics sorry, looks like every other four door skyline just a lil wider and crap paint

Hi guy's, I'm in a pickle of a situation, lost ma job a month and a bit ago which meant the company car had to be given back. Not so bad because I've got a new job and its going well, problem is my wife needs her car. The skyline even if I finish it isn't the type of car you want to escort clients around in. So I want to know how much I could get for the skyline and see if I can get something else, doubt I'll sell it because I've put way too many hours into it to part with it for just a normal car. Still I need to know what my options are. Fair simple build up, R32 Gts-t 1989 type-M RB30det engine Rb26 head Aries pistons H beam rods T04z turbo PFC djetro 800cc injectors cam gears R33 manual gearbox exceedy 4 puk clutch 2 way kaaz diff R33 GTR v-spec front disc's and caliper bracket 18x10 +20 rear's VSKF's 18x 9 +20 fronts VSKF's Couple gauges, AVC-R boost ctrl HSD coilovers caster arms shortened frnt upper control arms FMIC, oil cooled, alloy rad, twin pod intake Rear has had guards stretched professionally 25mm front gaurds Cobra-daytona 2 reclining buckets (both seats) hydrolic handbrake driver side harness. Paint is crap, half stock half matte from where body has been repaired. Fair straight no major dents. Has been drifted but this engine has only been on the dyno and due to an electrical problem hasn't had the tune finished. At the moment it cant be driven but I'm sure I could fix it I just don't have the time as its locked away elsewhere due to the lack of car parking at my place. Not registered but it can be. Thanks guy's. (If you don't know, don't make up crap)

Hi all, I've got some issues (3/6 cylinders running) with my car which is running a R32 GTR engine loom and suited PFC-dejetro. The only thing that's not GTR is the igniter pack, coil pack's and coil pack loom. These are all from a GTS-t. I haven't had time to play with swapping coil packs around but the coil packs were fine on the old RB20 (I'll still check them anyway just in case). Can anyone tell me if there are any differences between the GTR and GTS-t when it comes to these parts? If there is a difference it could save me a lot of time searching for the problem elsewhere. Thanks, Daniel

Cam Pully Position Without Backing Plate
=premo= replied to =premo='s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Put the backing plate on and realized that the cam timing is out a tooth on both gears because of the tensioner's. Because its an RB30 I have two tensioner's and when I've done them up its pulled the cam's around almost a full tooth. The down side is that wasn't the problem. I checked the compression to make sure no bent valves and all is good but when I started it up again it was doing the same thing. Pulled off coil pack plugs 1,2 and 4 and no difference, the fkn thing is running on 3 cylinders. All the spark plugs are black as fk and its blowing heaps of fuel and black smoke out the exhaust. The popping at 2000rpm is still there. I'm currently running RB20det coil packs even though its a RB26 head and engine loom, are RB20 coil packs different to RB26 coil pack's and could this be causing the problem or is it more likely to be a tuning problem? -

I've just finished rebuilding an engine for track use after it had spun a bearing. Started it up and it sounds rough, shakes a bit (although it was on car stands so might not be an issue when its on wheels) and start's popping out the exhaust at 2000rpm so I turned it off straight away and went shopping for explosives to blow it up (getting sick of it). I used a backing plate to setup the timing belt but its not actually on the engine. When I used the backing plate I held it up to the cam gears so I could see the marks from the back of the engine and lined up the tooth on the cam gear to the mark then looked from the front of the engine to make sure it was the right tooth that I had just lined up. I checked it at least three times to make sure the marked tooth was at the right spot. The only thing I can think of is that the marks on the backing plate are not symmetrical so when I've flipped the plate horizontally so I could see the marks against the cam gears its given a different result... Although the backing plate does look symmetrical. Any suggestions on how I can diagnose the problem or work out which gear needs to go which way? I still have 10 degrees of adjustment either direction on the cam gears that I haven't used so I might not need to pull it apart to fix the problem if I can work out exactly what the problem is. Its also possible that timing isn't the problem at all but its the only thing I can think of that could have stuffed up. If it wasn't for the popping I'd think there was nothing wrong and its just a bit rough. Any good help is much appreciated.
