  3. so it would be pointless leaving a sanded finish in the chamber. and the exhaust ports should be polish smooth.
  4. thank you. your input is exactly what i needed. this way i dont have to ask Darren every 15min "what should i do here" why leave the intake divider? does it make a difference leaving a sanded finish in the chamber? pics of seats and vaulves would be excellent just so i can make sure im following you right. also of the exhaust port to show how you blended the shape back. thanks again
  5. they wont fit, the curves of the bottom rear of a fourdoor are different to a two door. one has a lip the other doesnt
  6. do you have the manifold bit that goes between this and the throttle bodies? please PM me if you do
  7. so clean em up a lil, get rid of the lumps from the studs/match ports and get rid of the sharp edges on the vaulve guides on the exhaust side? any other idea's or specific problem spots?
  8. yeh fair enuf. 3 angle and all that is a job ill leave to Darren (i dont want to break his seat cutting tool). Darren knows how to port heads very well but he doesnt have time to do it, so im just trying to learn a lil to see if i can give it a go. he can give me the calculations for comparing the exhaust to inlet flow ratio's but it would take too long for him to teach me where and how to make them flow more.
  9. not looking for shitloads of power, looking for reliability and midrange power. its for daily driver/G1 drift. i understand that i dont need to do a port job but if i have the oppertunaty to do it i may as well even if its only to put less strain on the engine. stock or high flow GTR-32 turbos, stock cams, forged Airies pistons (fair sure there for 8.5:1 with 26 head), shot pined rods. so nothing to insane. any ideas/tips for the port work? (i have access to all machinery and a flow bench)
  10. Hi, Darren, LEWIS ENGINES is fair busy at the moment so im thinking about doing a port job myself (with a lil bit of guidence from him if he has time). Does anyone know where the RB26 head lacks in flow, what curves work best, and what section of the port needs most work? keeping in mind its going on a RB30 block.
  11. someone has to have one lying around they dont need and want cash for
  12. straw was to big. couldnt find one that would fit snug so i used eletrical tape, cut two slots in it so it would be tighter and used a fair bit of arldite, it worked all day at the drift prac so hopefuly it holds forever
  13. well im stuffed then.
  14. ANYONE?
  15. yeh, shouldnt be a problem
  16. thanks people, that gives me a lil more to work with. realy starting to lean towards learning how to make something like this myself.
  17. hi, im after a wide rear gaurd kit for my R32 fourdoor. ive heard they exist but cant find any. id also be interested in learning how to make my own if i cant find any. reason for the need is in the link below http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/wide-re...or-t202546.html any help is well appretiated. cheers Daniel
  18. that site is some fancy ball room thingo...? ive sent JUN a contact log (on there site) but havnt been able to find the product itself on there site or any other. starting to think its a lost cause.
  19. i parked my car on an angle park, 45 degree from horizontal (front in the air, rear kinda down a creek bed). SFA damage considering how it got there. All the weight of the car was on the back corner where the exhaust is. tail light still intact rear bumper and zorst a lil dinged but the rear quater above the wheel is like the ocean, also pushed the sill under the rear passanger door in when it first went over the edge (back door a lil tighter than b4 but ill probably leave it). Drove the car home, needs a wheel alighnment but should be good for dori on the 9th. Im thinking instead of fixing the body which looks like a big/exspensive job ill just try and cover it with wide rear panels. how would i go about doing it, does anyone make them or who should i see about getting them made? cheers Daniel
  20. wanted the section between the throttle bodies and plenum cheers Daniel
  21. nah ive looked at it and its just a split down the side of the plastic bit. will give the maccas straw a go thow.
  22. thread now with less swearing.
  23. still not keen on seperating? i need the manifold bit between the plenum and throttle bodies fair bad. cheers Daniel
