Yay i can post in this thread now tht i have some decent wheels lol, here they are, Work emotion XD9 18x8 +28 front, 18x9 +30 rears, lol the work emotion decal on the wheels glows in the dark which is pretty kool, they also come with blue anodised valve so i will get some blue work wheel nuts to match those soon, by the way the car badly needs to be lowered now. Finally some pics, sorry there not very good, im not the best at taking pics which is probally why they dont do the wheels justice, they look much better in real life. The rear fill the gaurds perfectly and hopefully wont even need the gaurd lip rolled over when i get some coilovers, i was expecting a bit more dish on the back but im not complaining lol, the fronts stick in a little more than i would like so i may get some wheels spacers and see how they look with those. -
Xforce 3" stainless steel dump/front pipe, 3" mild steel decat pipe, HKS silent high power stainless steel catback. Sounds awsome, not to loud/drony when cruising but really opens up at about 4000rpm.

Sorry guys, didnt realise my setup would be illegal in australia, here in N.Z there is nothing wrong with my setup, many people use it, you could always get it setup that it return the fumes back into the intake, it would be very easy to do that.

Heres my custom catch can/washer bottle setup made by R.I.P.S (www.ripsltd.co.nz) in N.Z, it completly replaces the stock washer bottle, in my opinion it is one of the cleanest looking setups avaliable, i love mine, mite even send it back to rips to get it polished for that extra bling , my setup is just straight from the cam covers to the catch can using -10 pushlock hose for the breather lines, 2 x -10 female fittings, 2 x -10 male weld on fittings on the catch can, a custom made alloy bung for the stock pcv valve and thats pretty much it. Heres some pics, sorry that there not the best. I can get some better pics if anyone wants them.

Yup, stock! Get rid of it asap

Well i decided to buy the wheels anyway (im pretty positive they will fit anyway as thats what work reccomends) i got front: 18x8 +28 offset, rear: 18x9 +30offset, and also ordered some toyo t1r's, (225/40/r18 front and 255/35/r18 rears), they should hopefully be on the car tomorow so i will post up some pics -
Correct Offset?

Thanks alot mate, thats exactly what i wanted to hear, so what about the fronts (18 x 8 +28) how nicely will these fill the gaurds? The main problem im having now is deciding what colour to go for lol, bronze or matt grey i cant decided, either way both colours should look pretty good i hope (will be getting some blue work wheel nuts for some extra bling ) -

Yup i just read all 11pages twice lol, was a little bit of help, most people seem to be using +38 offset for the rear which is weird because that is what work reccomend for my car in that size ,but my supplier reccomended me the +30 instead, will these still fit? or should i order in some +38? I couldnt fnd anyone in that thread using the exact same wheel and offset sizes that i am looking at getting so im still a bit stumped. -
Hey guys Im thinking of getting some work emotion xd9's for my r33 gts25t, the sizes i want to go with are, Front 18 x 8.0 +28 offset, Rear 18 x 9 +30 offset, this is what my supplier has reccomended to me for my car ,is this correct? Will they fill the gaurds nicely? or will they sit in a bit? The tyres i will be using will be front 225/40r18 or 235/35/r18, rear 255/35/r18 What is your opinion on these sizes/offsets? Cheers

Cheers mate, i was originally going to use black joiners and paint the alloy pipe black but i cudnt find any black silcione joiners, you can barely even see the pipe/joiners ,you would never know its there unless you have a real good look.

Good news, i finally finished the intake pipe an have taken lots of pics, i made it so it fits up to the stock airobx and i can also use a pod aswell The parts i used were: 1 x 3" 90 degree 600mm long alloy bend, 1 x 3" 45degree silicone joiner, 1 x 3" - 2.25" silicone reducer, a small length of alloy pipe that is the same size as the stock plumback pipe, some radiator hose from super cheap (i think it was the bottom hose from some triumph, it fits the stock plumback line perfectly) some old plumback line that i had leftover from when i installed the RIPS plenum on my old car, some clamps, 1 x local engineer for the welding lol Heres the pics The pipe was 600m long so it required a lot of cutting to get to the exact length I had a little peice of alloy pipe welded on the bottom of the intake pipe which connects to the modified plumback line, i was orginally going to have the plumback line connect to the top of the intake pipe just like it is stock but there wasnt much room so i decided to do it this way. How it looks from underneath the car Modified plumback line, this was a bit tricky to make as it had to clear the aircon pump bracket and then curve underneath the intake pipe, it needed lots of cutting, rotating and welding, it was probly the most diffucult part to make work and look stock The kool thing about it is you cant see it in the engine bay unless you have a really good look The car runs fine with it , i have only tried it with the stock airbox at the moment and the induction noise does seem to be a bit louder, i have not tried it with a pod yet though.

So has anyone had any problems with the tomei z32 AFM (these are actually a genuine nissan but are sold by tomei) from nengun?? Im guessing it wont have any problems as its a nissan z32 but i havnt read anything about them on this thread so im not 100% sure. Link: http://www.nengun.com/tomei/air-flow-meter-z32

Doses?? wtf?? And what do you mean by "not what i expected", does the car run fine or does it run different to when you had the stock intake pipe?
-
Finally i have found out what size the turbo inlet is, thanks NYTSKY for measuring your turbo for me , it is 59mm which is 2.25", so i have just ordered my 3" 90degree alloy pipe and 2.25" -3" silicon reducer, hopefully i will have this finshed sometime this week if im lucky, i will post pics of the finished product.
-
Ditto, i would really like to know the same thing before i go and buy the wrong one, i just need confirmation that the stock turbo inlet is 2.5"?? Cheers P.S, i should hopefully be starting sometime this week and will be using 3" polished alloy pipe insteas of stainless
-
Yea im still going to make one i think, im also undecided at the moment wheather or not i should use the stock airbox when its all getting tuned, or use a pod, the pod sound can be a bit annoying sometimes, i guess i could use my stock airbox while its getting tuned and if it does start to become a restriction swap it for my pod while im there. Can someone please confirm that the stock turbo intake/inducer is 2.5"?? Cheers
-
I have read that it sucks in when using a pod also, not just the stock airbox, so i would rather spend a few $ and make sure it dosent happen alltogether, would be a complete pain in the ass driving 1 1/2 hours to my tuner ,getting half way through the tune and finding out the pipe is sucking closed, driving 1 1/2 hours back home, making a intake pipe and then driving back to my tuner again, i would rather have it all sorted before it gets tuned.
-
I have decided to make the intake pipe myself, i will be using a 600mm 3" 90degree bend peice of alloy pipe for the intake pipe which i will obviously have to trim down to make fit, a 3" 45 degree silicone bend to go from the end of the intake pipe to the end of the AFM, some alloy pipe from work that is the same size as the stock plumback line which will be welded to the intake pipe so i can join it to the stock plumback line, a 90degree peice radiator hose that also fits nicely over the stock plumback line (i have this left over from when i moved the stock bov on my rb20det when i got a front facing plenum) a 2.5"?? to 3" siliconce reducer to go from the turbo to the start of the intake pipe ,i will take it to my local engineer to have all welded up and then may paint it black for the "stealth" look lol. On question i have is does anyone know the exaxct size of the stock turbos inlet/inducer?? im pretty sure its 2.5", but please correct me if im wrong, i dont have the time to go and take all might intercooler pipes off just to get the intake pipe off so if someone could tell me what size it is that would be awsome? So all up it should cost somewere around $150 max, which isnt to bad i spose (alot better than having the stock intake pipe shut while im on the dyno) ,i will post pics once its all done, hopefully everything will go to plan and bolt up nicely
