Dezz and alphanumeric, did you guys get any spare time to take some pics?? Cheers

You dont need a "purpose built" rb30 to make huge power, just look at what Rob from R.I.P.S here in N.Z has done with rb30's, just to name a few, his r32 gts4, rb30det with 100% standard internals and stock r32 rb25de head made 447rwkw and ran a 10.21 @ 134mph and was proven to be very reliable, another r32 gts4 that he built made 400rwkw+ reliably with completly stock internals and also has run numerous 10sec passes. And im sure there a lots more rb30's with stock internals making more power than both of those cars.

Heres some on my old r32 gtst 4door, in 17", sorry there not on a r33 but it should give you some sort of idea. http://www.skylinesdownunder.com/forums/sh...izmo_freek+sale

Check your PCV valve, it is the little 2 way valve that is pushed into the side of your intake cam cover, it then connects to the intake manifold via a rubber pipe, it is only small, put your ear up to it while the car is idling and if you hear it whisstle then it most likely has a stuffed seal (mine sometimes makes a hissing noise when the car is idling which i have traced to being the PCV valve seal leaking i think) , another way to check for vacuum leaks is to get a long peice of vaccum hose, put it up to your ear then put it werever the whistling noise is coming from, you can hear it very clearly with the vaccum hose. Also while the car is idling you can wriggle the PCV valve around a little bit and see if the hissing goes away or gets worse

No worries mate, if you can get some pics when yourve got a bit of spare time that would be sweet Yea i thought the support bar would need a bit of cutting, it looks pretty tight in there, thats not a problem tho, i cut the support bar on my old r32 so should be easy
-
All the ARC ones i have seen have a very small looking intercooler, and you can see all the piping which dosent look to good IMO, just like this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=133257 The trust ones dont seem to be very popular which would make finding information about them even harder than finding info for the blitz lm.
-
What exactly needs to be cut?? just the bottom on the support bar so that the intercooler can fit in there??
-
That would be sweet if you could get some pics tomorow, just whenever yourve got some spare time mate, no rush More questions lol, do you need to cut the front bumper support bar at all?? Cheers
-
Yea thats exactly wat i was thinking, in all the pics ive ever seen including yours, none of the return pipes sit as low as that one, which is pretty much why i started this thread in the 1st place,i didnt want to buy one then end up having the return pipe sitting to low, in the pics of justins one i think i can just see the top of the return pipe sitting below his intercooler (maybe my mind is playing tricks on me) so you can only just see it hanging underneath the intercooler when you look at the front of the car which is fine with me , much better than the whole pipe hanging underneath the car. Some more pics would still be very helpful Any chance you could get me a few more pics Dezz?? like underneath the front bumper etc

Which Is The Best Gtr To Buy
nizmo_freek replied to danoz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Series 3 is the best as it has the best interior, best steering wheel, dual airbags, best headlights (xenon), deeper more aggressive front lip (i read it somewere that it also has front brake ducts, hence the different front lip compared to series 1 and 2, dont quote me on that), apparantly it uses a better gearbox than the series 1 and 2 and should be in better conditon than the rest due to its age. Series 2 is 2nd, has the same interior as series 3 but different colour seat inserts and door trim, uses the same steering wheels as series 3, dual airbags (i think),uses same gearbox as series 1, should be in better conditon compared to an older series 1. Series 1 is the "worst" of the 3, it has an ugly flat looking dash panel, ugly steering wheel, only has one airbag, uses the same headlights as series 2, could possibly be in worse condition than the rest due to its age (but older = cheaper usually) the series 1 is basically an older version of the series 2. Series 3 wins hands down for me, they look much more aggresive from the front than the series 1 and 2, but they are all great cars!! -
Awsome mate, cheers

Bump, would really appreciate some more help Cheers Jason

Im thinking of buying a 2nd hand blitz lm fmic kit, it dosent come with any brackets or anything just cooler, pipes, joiners and clamps, maybe i should just wait and buy a brand new kit just incase i have some mounting issue's The fmic on the silver r33 does look like it hangs very low compared to yours and Dezz's, maybe its not a real Blitz lm kit?? I saw the pic of your car in the for sale section and it dosent look like it hangs anywere near as low as that one, so yea maybe he has mounted it wrong or something Is there any chance that you would be able to take a few pics for me mate?? i would really appreciate it if you could get a pic from the front of the car and mayb even just underneath the front bumper so i can see how low the return pipe sits, just any pics would be really great mate, if you cant get any thats ok.

Hey people Im trying to decide which fmic kit i want to go for on my series 2 r33 , i previously had one of the cheap chinese fmic kits on my old r32 gtst, and personally i didnt like it to much, i didnt like cutting a hole in the engine bay, it didnt fit very good (piping didnt line up to well and the cooler wasnt straight) ,the piping hit the bonnet and because it was polished it would go dull as it would rub on the bonnet lining, but i gues thats what you get when you buy cheap chinese products. I have been trying to find as many pics as i can of the Blitz lm fmic kit for a r33 gts25t, ive been talking to "Dezz" and he was kind enough to send me a few pics, i would rather go for this kit over a chinese kit as you dont need to cut a hole in the engine bay, the piping uses the stock return pipes in the engine bay which IMO makes it look alot tidier than a polished pipe between the motor and radiator, i can still use the stock airbox (you need to modify the intake snorkel with the chinese kit as it hits the piping, i dont want to use a pod either as i get sick of the constant sound it makes),the pics that i have seen of the blitz lm kit look very good........... Theres just one thing, most of the pics of have seen have show'n that the return pipe that runs underneath the intercooler looks like the pipe hangs very low, and in some pics you can clearly see the return pipe hanging underneath the car which dosent look too good in my opinion, Dezz has painted his return pipe black which dosent make the pipe look so obvious. So what im looking for is if anyone is using the blitz lm kit could they please post some decent pics so i can see how low the return pipe really sits (i plan to lower the car alot in the future, so i dont want the pipe hitting my driveway etc), even some ground clearance measurements would be great, any info and pics would be very much appreciated! Cheers Jason

FMIC: If you want to keep with "same sided entry type" i would suggest going for a Blitz LM fmic kit from nengun, they use the stock return pipes, i think they cost somewere around $1000 which is about twice the price of a cheap chinese intercooler kit which would problly do the same job as the blitz kit. Injectors: The stock 370cc injector have been used for a few 230rwkw cars on this forum that i have read about, if you decide you want to make more power go for the nismo 555cc injectors, they are a straight bolt in injector and dont require any plug or fuel rail modifications. Fuel Pump: I wouldnt use the standard pump for anything over 200rwkw, most people replace the fuel pump for good reason when they have fmic, full exhaust, 10psi etc etc, they seem to get tired pretty quickly and cant pump enough fuel, i would replace it with a nismo or tomei fuel pump as they are both once again and full bolt in replacement and both come on there own bracket, filter bag and all the other bits and peices, which means to dont have to muck around with modifing things like you would have to if you went for a bosch or a walboro pump (stay away from these) The 3" bellmouth dumpipe you have sounds fine (depending on who its made buy ofcourse), i wouldnt bother going out and spending more money on a split dump, i too will be going for a 3" bellmouth style dump/front pipe made by Unique Autosports. But if you only want to reach around 220-230rwkw then the mods you have listed are pretty much spot on, it should make that power on about 12-14psi depending on the condition of your motor ofcourse Good luck reaching your goal
