Arc's Turnflow Fmic On Ecr33 Pictures
nizmo_freek replied to teng's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Heres a full DIY install of the arc cooler, looks alright, but in my opinion the cooler is far to small, hence why you can see the end tanks and piping when the bumper is fitted which is a bit ugly. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...html&hl=arc -
Heres mine, nothing to special at the moment.Sorry the pics aint the best.

Loud Turbo Back Exhuast Systems
nizmo_freek replied to Just_Rb's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just to put this informtion out there, the HKS Silent high power catbacks for r33's are completly different to the r34 model, the r34 model has a large centre box type muffler, but the r33 model only has a tiny resonator (some people call it a hotdog) hence why the r33 model silent high power is alot louder than the r34 model. -

Hks Silent Power Vs Kakimoto Regu 06&r
nizmo_freek replied to Wogan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sorry but thats incorrect! The HKS is WELL over 3", Some of the mesurements I took of the outer diameter of the pipes were, 3.5" for the 1st part of the catback which is from the end of the cat to the square flange which the 2nd part of the exhaust containing the muffler bolts to, and the 2nd part of the exhaust measured 102mm (if i can remember correctly) which im pretty sure is 4" (correct me if im wrong please lol). These would be more than up to the job if you were making over 300rwkw! -
Something isnt right, if your losing that much oil over 60km then you would surely be driving around with white/blue smoke poring from the exhaust everywhere you go, either you are checking your oil level incorrectly (allthough i dont see how anyone could get that wrong) or you have a mojor leak that you havent found yet, even though you have said you have checked everything, have you actually jacked the car up and had a look underneather it?

I have full traction in 1st (will "chirp" 2nd and 3rd depending on how fast i shift and condition of the road etc etc) with 270rwkw, running tein super drift coilovers with 7kg srpings in rear and 255/35/18 toyo t1r's, rather impressed with how much grip it has!

Hks Silent Power Vs Kakimoto Regu 06&r
nizmo_freek replied to Wogan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I am using HKS dump, HKS front pipe, no cat and hks silent high power catback and its rather loud when at full throttle, not to bad when cruising, and dosent drone at all when at 100kph, when the rest of the exhaust was standard and i had just the hks catback bolted on it was very very quiet! From what ive read the kakimoto is very quiet but still sounds nice when giving it some, check in my signature for vids if you want to hear what mine sounds like. -
RB30 a "bogan motor''? your mate has issues! And you do know the rb30 in vl's were buit by nissan and not holden? so technically you will still be using a nissan motor!!

Hks Gt2835 Pro S Turbo 272.3 Rwkw
nizmo_freek replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nice results, seems to go very well, just a question, what tyre/sizes are you using? seems like your are using a cheap tyre thats not very wide, hence not very good traction, im using 255 toyos and i have full traction in 1st (trys to spin up 2nd if you shift fast enough) -
18x10's will fit fine, depending on the offset and tyre size ofcourse, depending on what size tyres you chose you may be able to get away with just rolling the gaurd lip back, you wont have to "flare" the gaurds.

Why is the factory bov no longer an option? All you need to do is make a flange ,mount that to the intercoller pipe, bolt the stock bov back on and then fabricate up a plumback/recirc pipe that goes from the bov back to the stock intake pipe, you can make it from anything really, any a peice of hose the correct diameter will work fine to, i done this on my old r32 when i was using a R.I.P.S plenum and it worked perfect. But if you want to have stalling issues, go ahead and buy a different bov

Low Mount Rb25 Manifolds Where Can I Get One?
nizmo_freek replied to compnerd's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
There really isnt any decent options on the market at the moment. There is the usual ebay/chinese type ones which are cheap, and not exactly the best quality, but i wouldnt want one on my car. The only real "decent" options are buying a HPI one from justjap, but there are very expensive at over $1000, they would be ALOT better made than the cheap chineses ones though, also Kazama make one similar to the HPI version but there are very hard to find and very expensive aswell Apexi and HKS (i think Greddy/Trust make one too) make a cast low mount manifold for the rb20/rb25 but this dosent mount the turbo in the stock position so that wouldnt really be a good option either unless your willing to modify a few things, in the end the cost vs gain isnt really worth it with these two options. There is another option which is getting your stock manifold honed/ported, a few people have had good results from that by what ive read, not sure to on cost. The only other option is to get one custom made, which again will be expensive, i actually asked 6BOOST a while ago in a thread if he has anything/would be willing to make anything for a rb20/rb25 with the turbo in the stock position, he basically said no (if i can remeber correctly) i think his reasons were that it would be very hard to design/make one that actually fits in the stock position and would give decent gains as there is very little space to work with, you cant fit a decent collecter in that area etc etc. So really there isnt mani options, unless your willing to spend a bit of money! -
^^^ got wing Sorry mate but i gota say, that wing does not look good at all , the whole car would look alot nicer if it didnt have that wing. Sorry just to say it lol

Standard Boost Solenoid On Turbo Upgrade
nizmo_freek replied to blitza's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yea just unplugg it and remove all the vaccum lines, the car will run fine without it plugged in, then just hook up a vaccum line from the hks internal wastegate to your intercooler piping, or put in a boost controller. -
Heres a few new pics of mine, my mate wanting to try a few rolling shots so i thought why not, nothings changed since the last pics though, except it has a bit more power lol, also its a bit higher in these pics than what i would normally have it set at.

Nope its not the angle, that 1st r33 has the cooler in the correct place by the looks of it, i just cut my bumper alot differently to his. Instead of cutting the bottom part of the bumper (i have circled which part i mean in the pic bellow) to far foward i left alot of it on there, i barely even cut that part down that much, so that bottom part of my front bumper actually slips right in between the bottom of the cooler and the bottom pipe, which is why you cant see it ,unlike the r33 below were they have cut a bit to much off the bumper.

Stock is the best, using mine on my setup making 270rwkw using nearly 18psi, no problems so far.
