  1. i used tensport today at work and worked fine
  2. woah! nice work on the exhaust. But may i ask what is the purpose of restoring the exhaust? Was it a show car up on the hoist? or was it more of a "rainy day" kind of thing. Looks like brand new though, well done!
  3. you lucky lot on your side of the country, why dont you just drive?? Grab a mate, take turns if need be...
  4. Nice, thanks mate, really appreciate your perspective on that. I am hanging out to take him, but trying to find the right age to travel interstate with him and watch it. Will definately take you recommendations on board.
  5. Thanks rb26zed. Thats the info I am after. Going to start saving now. You recon 8 years old is perfect age or could you have taken him earlier? P.S. thanks BenM checking out that site now. Looks good! Dezz- general admin seats normally ok?
  6. yes, however if you look at i think the singapore track for example. My fried has taken his son twice there. Each time he buys a ticket whilst there and gets it for pretty much half the price on the website. So just wondering what the cost is, regardless of costs on websites.
  7. Hey Guys, My little boy is 18 months and being a doting dad my dream is to take him to Melb one day and watch the formula 1 with him, perhaps when he is 5. Which has me thinking, currently what are the prices for tickets eg general? Vip? Gold class? any prices would be great so i can start saving $$$ Thanks all!
  8. OK specs have now been announced: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/playstation-4-ps4-amd-apu-hardware,21191.html 8 core CPU sounds good, gives us PC users at least ..... 4 weeks until we have a system well ahead of it :-) Oh... and No i dont work for Toms Hardware, i do love their tech articles though, hence the links!
  9. Whilst I am a die hard PC gamer i still quite like the possibility of a media centre gaming console which I am hoping the PS4 will offer. It was officially announced this morning (read comments section at the bottom) http://www.tomshardware.com/news/PlayStation-Event-Announcement-PS4-PS-Vita,21202.html Hopefully this time it will play MKV files and not just MP4 like the PS3 :-(
  10. Wow, after all the excitement this thing is meant to be an absolute blowout. Went onto metacritic to look at feedback, so many bad reports on it. What a shame as it had so much potential. :-( So if you bought it off steam, i wonder if they will credit it for you?
  11. Anyone mention dead space? Scares me shitless but a good game none the less. Dead space 3 is about to come out and would recommend playing 1 and 2 prior to playing the new one.
  12. Red goes faster..... Nice tactic Lotus....
  13. Hmmm NSX was first produced in 1990..... If you do grab a few, I bags first dibs on buying it from you.... :-)
  14. You can never pick it when your going to have a bad run of punctures, gives me the shits! Hmmm might have to buy me some of those Maxxis refuse. Also what's a good tube to go with it
  15. I go the ultra gatorskin tyres for my daily commute to work on road and foot paths. They advertise it as really good for punctures. Unfortunately however with all tyres there always will be punctures. Have had about 4 in total on these tyres, i do think they work though, so no doubt if i had other tyres could be in excess of 8. Lomg story short, I have continental tubes with the Ultra gatorskins 28. Ride normally once to twice a week 36km round trip.
  16. shimano and SRAM are always good brands so i would like to say yes. Keep in mind a derailer is only as good as the rest of the gearing as well. Marc is definately the best to speak to about this stuff but you can get "groupsets" for the bike which would be perfect. Might i suggest a couple of websites Bikeexhange.com.au (good sourcing of second hand bikes and parts in oz) Chainreaction.com (UK based but customer service is fantastic! cheap parts but you must ensure you get their advice on what to get, this would be ideal if for some reason Marc couldnt help) Wiggle.co.uk (really cheap parts but in my 18 - 20 dealings with them, their customer service is poor, only order from them if you know exactly what you want, trying to get help from them is like trying to squeeze blood out of a stone sometimes.... Obviously shop australian if you can, but if you get stuck try those other 2. What bike is it and specs from there we can look at what to do. To be honest i am now more knowledgable on flat bar road bikes due to the great info i have learnt on here, i might be a bit limited on Mntain bikes but will try none the less :-)
  17. I am no where near as much as a guru as Marc, but to be honest from my knowledge (as minimal as it is) from the shopping and 4 bike purchases i have made, to replace all that you really are better off buying a new bike Dependant on the terrain and frequency etc, Cogs, derailers, gears, shocks etc to get a decent set will cost you close to 1k Shimano are always nice, but for 1k you can get a nice new Giant or Apollo.....
  18. Wow, so with Kobiyashi.. you donate and essentially you get an expensive wrist band for 2013?? .... balls up.
  19. Nice work Mavric! Glad to say I spent pretty much Saturday going over the car, I was PI$$ED with myself afterwards when i completely forgot to get before and afters. Very happy to tell you all that my car looks a million bucks! I ended up doing the wash. then compound, wax then....... My friend who manages a car care company came around with a bit of a surprise for me. He bought a $900 swissvax car detailing package for his special client, he went over my car with something he beleived was similar to a "paint protection" smelt like strawberry lip balm, so tempted to eat it. Needless to say I wanted to eat it, but, the car came up sooooo nice! The lady at my birds boarding house (long story) who we regularly visit, noticed how clean my car was straight away.
  20. One of my staff today pretty much said exactly word for word as you did. FPS of skyrim and he loved vaas.
  21. I am sure I will get around to playing it soon. But i got to be honest, i was reeeaaaly put off after playing far cry 2. One of the very few games were i couldnt be a$$ed playing it to the end. I remember doing a job then driving for half an hour to hopefully find another one. I spent more time, health and bullets trying to avoid everything getting to the job and driving there than actually doing it. I think "Just Cause 2" Felt like Far Cry 2 done correctly, not so much an FPS but you could do trips to jobs that would take a while but actually enjoy the travel so to speak. I hope they get that sorted this time around. The trailer looks great.
  22. You guys are champions! Nice post Mavric. Use the clay bar and compound to get it to a good standard then just wash and wax from there! with maybe the Clay bar and compound but VERY rarely providing i now stay away from those car washes. To be honest, i really am interested in doing this and kinda getting excited. I used to have a beautiful 33 that used to go in many of the shows, my friend owns a detailing store and he did it all for free! The odd thing is now i drive an SUV and nooooow i finally take an interest in doing it all myself. Its just a ford escape 2005 limited edition (has cream leather mind you) prob worth $15k but I cant see any problem with lavishing out on it evey so ofter, plus all the posts you boys are putting up of your detailing of GTR's and ferrari, lotuses and what nots are making me jealous. Thanks again for your help gang, going to get it now!
  23. Cool, my last question is, how often can your paint handle being "Ultimate compounded" so to speak. Should i do that process say once a year, then the other times just a wash then wax?
  24. Awesome, thanks mate I did heaps or researching on the internet about the products etc, however most of the info comes from the Meguires forum, which is no doubt a bit "tainted" in its responses.
  25. Sorry guys, Here is the link to the paint restoration kit. I guess just wanting to know if this is suitable for the old "wash, polish, wax" scenario. Not looking for something over the top, just something thats going to polish up the paint and keep it in good nick: http://www.meguiars.com.au/products/kits/paint-restoration-kit/
