A very good friend of mine works for Car care.. mobile service. For thos of you that have seen my car (especially on sunday for the photo shoot) my cars paint is as shiny as the day it left the showroom. He had a 89 model blue VN commodore that was meant to be blue but had faded to grey!!! 3 hours later his car was back to a beautiful shade of blue again. You all know how protective of my car I am so when i use someone to do something they have to be good. Pm me if ya interested..... i thoroughly recommend him and i think he could get that beautiful shiny colour back up and fix up most of those probs!!! I have been in talks with him to get all SAU members very cheap prices..... cheaper than most detailers........ I will prob write up a thread in regards to it soon once i get more details....

Is that a 60mm gauge or a 52mm gauge... I am chasing a 60mm one...

Hmmmm perhaps if there are any good spray painters perhaps we could have a SAUWA group buy? I know of a few people that said they wanted a respray!!!! Mirkz.... perhaps if ya get good enough you could be the man! otherwise anyone else out there????

The funniest thing i saw was the guy who polishes my rims undo the lock nut just as quick as what he does a normal nut...... why bother... either way they can get them off piece of piss if they want to

The problem is that I was thinkin "wow that is a huge amount for a sleeper" when you hear how loud & grunty this thing sounds when it starts you know it has got something nice in there.... you would be stupid to think its standard..... Are the trampios a nice soft compound that will give me traction when putting my foot down? Does anyone know how much these would go for 255/40/17... any of you guys here work for a tyre store that could do a good price on these???

Yeah the supras is the one that I have been offered... are they better? 240 each tyre for the two..... should i give them a go Fane? Riaz - what the hell are toyo trampios?

Thanks R33 Impul - Hmmmm so a no go on them then by the sounds of it..... still need a bit of traction i guess in the wet...... and only last 20,000 k, not very long really, the ones i have on the rear have done 30,000 and prob still have about 10,000 left to go but very vig traction issues with them, Dunlop Le mans 602 i think they are.... bloody hard compoud so not much grip :-( Anyone had and luck with the federal ones??

Good to hear mate that the insurance hasn't been affected. Please consider it as a warning as to how bad it could of been, obviously being a minute amount on your P's and all but i think from reading over your thread ya get the general consensus. Happy and Safe driving and you will find as time goes on the $1600 will come down... well more than likely ....

Hi guys, Am chasing after some new tyres as the ones i have are rock hard compound, as now SLY is a weekend car am chasing after something nice and soft so i can give it a bit without slipping whilst driving my car in my private car park. I have spoken to some guys and need advice these are the 2 I have been offered and need your thoughts: 1. i think it's kumho supra ecsta - 255/40/r17 ok i have these offered to me at $240 each are these good tyres for $$$ need something soft and grip a bit better. 2. federal - v rated 255/40/r17 have these offered to me at $207 each, same reasons as to why i need them, something soft and gives me good launch and grip through gears. I have done a search in the tyre section of forums on these two but not much help.... any of you guys able to help me on the individual tyres? I am trying to keep my budget to $200 per tyre as in the next couple of months $$$ will be goin elsewhere.... Thanks in advance guys!

and for the touch up paint... well depending what it is.... marlows..oops .... super cheap autos can normally make up some for you if you have the code, now my car is the red wine colour which is actually a pearl coulour so marlows weren't able to make it. So i went to chameleon paints in osbourne park and they made it there.... took a bit of time but they made it.......

Oh and thanks R33 Impul! My old phone is still buggered it's an 8250 it won't turn on.... do you how much they go for second hand.... i have pulled the thing apart but requires a bit more than a clean and shake, if you are good at getting into things and know someone who wants an 8250 perhaps if ya fix it we will go halves in whatever we sell it for? Heya Guys! Well i didn't go for the insurance in the end but all is well! I ended up going for the Ericson T310 or what ever it's called the one with the camera and stuff! looks cool! To claim insurance was $150 excess but instead as i was out of contract they gave me a free phone and put me on contract again so in the end not too unhappy! the phone looks pretty cool! Man i am goin to take some nasty pictures with my camera this weekend! ahahah!!!

i'm not concerned about warranty as it's one of the old blue 8250's prob well over the warranty mark, it's the insurance bit i have been paying for........

Heya Everyone! Well tis the season for mobile phone shenanigans by the looks of things! I hopped out of my car yesterday and my phone has hit the chair and..... wel.....l has died. It won't turn on any more! Well anyway i pay about $6 per month on top of my mobile phone bill with VODAFONE. I should be able to claim it on insurance yeah? Kinda like if i crash my car i can claim insurance, well i think if i crash my phone i should be able to claim my phone. Is that ok? or do i have to say that it's stolen or lost? i think for 4 years worth of insurance it shouldn't be a prob, but you know what people are like they will prob find a way to get out of it!

At the auto salon at Belmont Park the 1st time my car was in , in the car park they had a drfiting and circuit competition (motorkhana) it was great to watch and was defintaly a crowd favourite!!!...... last year no motorkhana in the car park???? perhaps reasons why: Neighbours complaining??? BLACK SKID MARKS FRIGGIN EVERYWHERE!!!???? A whole heap of crap being left over in the car park ie rubbish??
