No way that is completely wrong the way you have washed it! you haven't given meguirs enough money that way you need to buy the following and place on in the folowing way 1. shampoo that is a nice yellow colour that gets rid of air of the paint 2. a different class 2 type that gets rid of any left over air from the paint incase you didn't get it off from the 1st wash 3 class 3 air off paint remover 4 car shampoo & wash 5 car shampoo and wash cleaner 6. car shampoo and wash cleaner cleaner OK honestly i think meguirs is a VERY good product but i really think they have gone over board in there range and are hopping for people like us who car dearly about our cars to buy everyone of their products this i think is all that you need! 1. First used soft gel wash (2. deep cut polish or swirl remover if your car needs it) 3. finish with Gold class wax/polish these are the only 3 products i have been using for the past 1. 5 years and works a treat... anything else really is overdoing it. Even my friend who details porsches told me the same!

[PM rev 210 about it as he was the one that placed the order. Yeah ITC is cool changes colours when you hid specific rev range... besides the 1st know on the left the other 4 are advanced about 5 notches to the right... you fill a notch click when you turn it... it might be ok to do it yourself but i could be completely wrong... might be best to wait for brett as you can melt the pistons muckin around with this thing!
-
Heya Cam, yeah myself and Rev210 have! seemed no worries, took about 2 weeks for order to come in :-) Saved many $$$$ though! What parts were you thinking of getting?

Hmmmm i could actually be wrong about ssaying that you can rock up do the sound off then drive off.... you do have a awesome looking system cam so it might be worth having a go if you can get in in time here are some details : Perth [CABIN] Autosalon 2003 - 29th to 30th March 2003 RBCAD are running the SPL event at Autosalon and SQ in partnership with Audio art and Technologies. Yeah the dyno does run quite high there but as rev210 has mentioned dynos are more of a tuning device, so even if the hp are coming out a bit too high, if we all went then we could compare our hp differences. i could do a run @ psi the night before and then jsut compare to my hp there... or might even convince rollaboyz to do it at PSI! so sounds like it was reading about 20 hp too hiogh... man i wish they had that dyno at motorvation... at least it would have made me look like i had one the trophy under signifcant cirucmstances. Also Killer -t were you entering your car in the auto salon dyno shoot? you are aware that you have to send them pics and stuff plus that your car has to stay there for the whole weekend, you can't rock up to the dyno then go away... the stereo sound off you can do that but not with the dyno :-( Also you MUST have a full tank
-
Well guys! My car is @ PSI hopefully finally getting ITC done! this certainly has been a big thing for me over the past 6 months. the install guide does cover what wires, however if you do not have any coloured wires well then you are in deep poo! if it is ok with you guys i might give a copy fo the diagram that Brett drew up to put on a website such as Killer-T's or strichnines just incase if any of us buy one and go through the same nightmare as i have! So hopefully SLY will be ok for Auto Salon Woody and guys: Rollaboyz will be doing a dyno mid year... last time only cost $25.. don't know what dyno it will be on but would be fun to see how we all go against each other :-):uh-huh: Caminperth: no worries dude! thnaks for taking time out to help me... spoiler will be ok it's right underneath where no one can see;)
-
Pffft Plex Shmex howz about a rolling start?:shake: After auto salon though i might pay a visit and have my 1st run... I am expecting to beat Kim's personal worst... I'm going for a high 20 pass Nah i dunno what i will get... will be happy with a mid 13.... dunno though.... Man where has CamInPerth gone..... I need his ITC wiring! *stressing*
-
Not with standard turbo you wont :-) i thinhk it starts running out of puff at our HP not too sure what the exact limit is but am quite sure that we aren't too far away!
-
Unforuntaely dude you can't just enter the dyno, entrance is now $100 . Am quite sure that if you enter auto salon your car MUST stay there over the entire weekend. Setup begins Friday 5pm and don't get your car back till Sunday. I was invited to enter in the salon, ihave no idea how one goes about entering themselves. www.autosalon.org

Oh yeah .... well 1st gear is till a bitch and i still do LOVE the gear changes above that! it is a bit of a hassle in peak hour yesterday drive home at 4pm was enough for me even though it wasn't full peak hour it was getting there..... all in all i'd say yeah i am gettng used to it, it jolts a lot when you try to ride the clutch, it really don't like that!

OH MY GOSH!!! CAMIN PERTH MY DREAMS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!! WE are expecting 290 - 205 rhwp with my ITC installed but we couldn't do it we can't figure out which wire goes where!... I have begged, pleaded and asked sooo many people if they have an itc or know how to do it.... DUde Is there any way in hell that you would some how be able to get to PSI to show Brett how it is hooked up between now and Friday.... Name a price and it is yours!!!!... seriosuly this has been a huge saga for us till midnight some nights trying to get it going!!! PLease PM me about this! if you have any time up your sleeve let me know... Brettt will be waiting with open arms :-) i will orgnaise it with him... should take only 10 mins to get what wire goes where.... he will write it down then i will have to visit b4 auto salon setup time on friday.... you have no idea how much of a saga this has been! OK rev 210 that was 281 rear wheel horspeower...we took dyno from the engine 345 horsies from the engine :-) If i can get the ITC well woody you will have to play catch up i'm looking at 290 - 295 with ITC.... turbo will be well and truly out of puff by then i hear :-) that is from PSI dyno with no adjustment..... PSI is a pretty good bench mark for dyno read outs
-
Cost me about $850 ish i would say, had a couple of other things done aswell so can't be exactly sure but i would say around that mark.
-
Thnaks for the info steve, are theynice and easy to push in? or does every single clutch upgrade no matter what it is is always ging to be harder to push in than the original standard clutch?
-
Yup 281Hp with standard turbo still... don't know how much longer though, am runnin at 12psi for auto salon. UMmmmmm guys perhaps you can check out my last of mods at auto salon this weekend?? :uh-huh: I would list them all now but i still have a few more things to do, so as soon as i have finished i will give all the info and what made what HP. All of the stuff i have done to my car as been done from info given to me from skyline forums from all members such as yourselves, this forums have been very invaluable and the info has been much appreciated therefire i intend to give as much info back to you all as soon as it's all finished. unfortunately thought it won't be finished by auto salon but it's getting therre... yeah i was quite surprised it's still running 281 off standard turbo... not much puff left in it i would say, still have ITC to install aswell... 4 months later and still havin probs installing it :-(
-
Looks VERY similar to the old pintarra TRX, sr20's fit quite nicely into them i here;)
-
Nah this 2600lbs clutch is brass baby! you had the 2500 lbs ceramic? have you blown it? maybe give this one a try? how mcuh each time for you to replace it macka? Thought my sig needed a change by the way :-) I wonder if PVA will like my special of the week??
-
yeah Kym ive heard that aswell but i can tell you it is quite a bit heavier hydrolic or not it is a bit harder to push in and i don't know how it is going to handle when it is on the freeway but MAN gear changes are unbeleivable, with standard clutch i wuld lose sooo many revs between gear change now because of the grip of the clutch no joke hardly any revs are lost! it is great!! I will see how i go in the next few weeks and i fi am used to it all by then well then i will completely recoomend you to get one, people have said just give it a little while so yeah i will wait a bit... if not maybe still go to PSI and just get a 2200lbs 9 puck.....
-
Have you gotten used to it though? or do you hate driving your car in peak hour traffic?
-
Well I had to get some other stuff done At PSI aswell, from what i have heard a lot of better clutch work and making comes from the Eastern States and not so much locally. so Brett got the clutch form the eastern states for me. I know Ross has done some fantastic work but trying to get my car ready for show i have had a few hours off work so I am trying to kill as many birds with one stone as i can if i can get 2 or 3 things done at one place at the same time then it works out well for me. PLus the prices of the 2 were pretty much the same except with Brett one of my plates got completely cleaned up (flywheel maybe???) and it came from the eastern states.
