Joondalup, jump on freeway north, hop off at hodges, turn left at lights then first right, they still had about 10 copies left, the guy working there said they have never seen a game go so quick. Felt like saying," well if you priced yourselves more competitively in the market place you wouldnt be so suprised" but prob not much he can do about it., Anyways.... I CANNOT GET ON THE BLOODY THING! i have picked the ASIA server (from the americas one as standard) and cant login to play. Is there a way to play without logging in?
-

Love the yamahas! I got them about 10 years ago at harvey norman, for my original xbox at the time but now have em on my pc. Still great quality and just that bit better now. If its for your pc room and not a proper home theatre dont go a full $1000 system unless your an audiophile, go something like the logitech 5.1s: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=567_569&products_id=17914 or yamaha equivalent which i am trying to find for you now:-) May i ask why the 2.1s? one of the advantages that i have found with this card is the ability to really utilise the dolby digital thingmajic in my rear speakers. Music and games are sounding amazing as i can now really hear people behind me. Holy sh*t..... just saw the 5.1 swan's on pc case gear, they are some serious speakers!! maybe stick with the logitech 5.1s if there in you price range. Of course you could always do this instead: http://www.jbhifi.com.au/home-theatre/pioneer/725-watt-home-theatre-outfit-sku-70523/ So tempting now not to buy that pioneer set on the jbhifi page i linked!!! the mrs would kill me!

Im under the impression that when a company/person claims bankruptcy or goes into administration they have no money left to pay to anyone and basically once filed and approved case closed. Am i right think Christopher Skace, Alan Bond etc etc
-
sh*t scrap that, i wasnt logged into the forum at the time. those of you who cant see it, this company is offering the card at $469 http://www.computeralliance.com.au/parts.aspx?qryPart=13763

P.S. your link to OCAU dont work

Yup i am thinking the same thing. Will buy just before the end of financial year then claim tax back. As mentioned before i am limited to a card in my case 11 inches or less. so the 670 looks the goods as a nice jump from my old trusty 5870. give it a month and hopefully the novelty has worn off and prices come down a bit. I am also waiting for the aftermarket reference cards like the MSI lightning editions.

Hey all, Well just thought i would do a small review for you all on the asus xonar dx sound card. Firstly i have read many reviews stating that onboard sound these days is very good and there is no need for onboard sound. BUT when i go to audiophile forums they all say the exact opposite and not only does the sound card provide much better audio quality but also takes stress off the CPU. I have been debating for nearly 3 months now, and i thought whilst going past MSY, why not? So i have now installed it and played around with the settings. The installation is easy, goes in the old PCIE slot BUT uses a floppy disk drive power cable to power it which i thought was different. Drivers are provided on the CD that comes with the hardware, but they need to be updated which i have done. Now to the good stuff. My audio components are: Plantronics 777 headset Yamaha TSS-1 5.1 sound system running off an Asus P8Z68-V mboard (about 4 months old) So took me a while to get the sound going through both units as the audio needs to be targeted to the card through windows in control panel, and then you need to use the xonar audio center. I went to Toms hardware website and noticed some software setups on there and played around with them. I was a bit frustrated at first as the SPDIF outlet that the optic fibre cable goes into is the same slot as the microphone required for gaming, so i thought sh*t i am going to have to plug cables in and out everytime i want to go between headset and 5.1. Although the mic issue cant be rectified, i can switch between my 5.1 and headset quite easily, so thats not a problem. To be honest i dont use a mic for gaming, if i did i would prob be annoyed that i have to plug in the mic in the same slot as the optic fibre, therefore mucking around with cables everytime i wanted to switch between gaming and stereo Ok, so my thoughts? Well i am no audiophile but i can definately hear a lot more clarity in everything and SH*T me dead they make everything at least twice as loud as what they used to be able to go to! For music, the bass in my headset has come down a little bit which is prob a good thing, less reverbaration and distortion than before, and when up loud they are much much clearer. with the old setup it was start to make a crackling noise at high noise levels, that has definately gone. Now for gaming. the plantronics are advertised as 7.1 with the little USB dongle that converts the audio jack into a usb input. but now with the xonar whilst playing modern warfare 3 the sounds properly sounded left, right infront and behind and again with such clarity. as the bass is reduced the gun sounds probably dont sound as nice as they did before but i think thats minimal compared to the overall effect. So to sum it up, YUP a definate increase of sound quality through the soundcard. if you have a chance i recommend you get one. Is it worth the $95? well to be honest, probably not again, i am no audiophile so i dont get too excited by sound, so i think $50 would be a fair price point but i definately think they are worth buying if you can get yours hands on one. There ya go, Dans reviews done :-)

Have one of them too. Actually we have three centres. The one i mentioned is the main one. the other two are smaller subsidiary/sattelite facilities. one has a smaller studio style gym, basketbal courts etc. our last one has no gym, but does have a court (again is this then a gym?) and various rooms for subsidised user groups. All three have childcare facilities. A lot of the old school WA guys over here have seen me progress from the private centres etc have been working in the health and fitness industry for over 10 years and cant dream of leaving it, the opportunities and progression have been fantastic. one member who is an absolute champ now owns his own gym which is wonderful to see and many old staff now run their own boot camps and their own businesses. Generally speaking a lot of fitness proffesionals wont give advice on techniques and diet etc without having a complete knowledge of the customer (P.E.Q) sometimes due to legal complications which can occur. *sad isnt it* Am happy to assist where ever possible but do have some limitations. Most facilities these days do give a free induction with new and renewing members, albeit not all PT's are up to standard and are that approachable but normally a gym will have at least one good PT that you can ask for advice.
-
Yes you may :-) This is why i am trying to get my head around what the general public considers as a gym, otherwise i could promote the same thing, however i really cannot classify it as a gym. Whilst industry leaders clarify certain areas as "gymnasium" does not mean this is consistent with public perception.
-
thats what i manage :- ) included is 200 casual staff, including 14 personal trainers conducting over 445 personal training sessions per month. I am quite proud of my baby.

Ok so to get your thoughts: 550 sqm off free weights, cardio equipment, pin loaded machinery 5 x water bodies consisting of 8 lane 25 metre lap pool, 8 lane 50 metre lap pool, spa, large leisure pool, zero depth splash pad. 2200 sqm of basketball courts also used for boxing plus large scale fight night events. 3 large group fitness studios 1 x holding capacity of 200 patrons, 1 x 150 patrons 1 x 80 patrons. 1 x spin cycle studio with 23 bikes. 2 x on site cafe's. Thats the first floor (there is a second floor). so what do you feel (as general public) is classified as a "gymnasium"

Would love to see it, the website looks good. Is it privately run? if so good on em for doing something of that size! It is a bold statement though to promote yourselves as the biggest do you think? What do you guys feel though constitutes as a gym? by catering for MMA fighting do you mean that there Is a boxing ring as part of that gym? Basketball courts are known as "gyms" especially in the U.S. but i still hear that terminology today in day to day coversations etc. So if basketball courts are termed as gyms, then there may be some bigger "gyms" out there than derrimut Derrimut gym still is impressive none the less. My work is bigger than a bunnings, however, again, its a fine line as to what is and isnt a gym.

In the mirror ;-) Which gym? what was he training, and how heavy?

Filex? was meant to go but didnt get to it in the end. Have gone previously to the conferences and the expo. I love it to be honest. Seeing some of the latest trends and equipment coming through the industry is always a bonus. Unfortunately it does attract some meat heads, but still a fantastic event. Over in WA we have a much smaller event known as WAFIC. Unfortunately nothing like Filex. What did you guys think?
-
also thanks guys for the comments. It really is nice to know that not only did i have all your help and advice throughout this process from you all, but there actually is a government department that is here for us. Much appreciated gang
-
wasnt MSY,but quite a big pc store here in WA which i always recommended but obviously wont now. from what i can tell they are only WA based. Mods - is it ok if i say the name? otherwise gang feel free to PM, dont want "Prank" getting in the sh*t, have gone over 10 years without a warning and dont feel like one now :-)

write up a diary and let me know of your daily accomplishments with the bungy ;-)
-
good let me know how you go with them. I am sure you will see greater results if you do it correctly. Personally i hate core work but understand the benefits of it should i need to go heavy etc.
-
meh..... while i have a quick break at work i will also give you this little tip. Get 2 metres of bungy rubber cord. $5 - $8 all it costs. It will be your best friend if you dont have anyone to train with at home. for your suppine's tie the bungy to each side of the bottom corner of the legs of the bench. Now grab a tea towel, place mat etc and put it on your stomach. You have to make sure though that you have pulled it nice and tight other wise it stretches too much. This now gives you resistance whilst doing suppines and much cheaper than buying plates if you dont have them and of course cheaper than thermo/resistance bands next step, place one end of the bungee rubber cord under the legs of your bench/home gym. and Taaa Daaa, you now have your own cable machine. again, make it tight :-)
-
for $20 buy a "top bloke" fitball a nice pink one :-) and use a plate on your suppine rows. core activation and strengthening can provide massive gains in heavy lifts. Your bent over bb rows would benefit from it as well. again watch your L2 and L3 if going heavy. From western force (perth rugby team) through to AFL, core focus and activation is playing a major part in training not just for agility but also size. you can also lower the risk of hernias through squats etc by providing more core support. Keep that in mind.
