  1. Not as much interest this time. Make some offers as i don't want them in my shed.
  2. Some people can't sell r32 gtr's for 12k. If you want it sold desperatly a realistic skyline price for a R33 around 7-8 for a car with only rims, exhaust, a hd clutch and an early year. You have the minimum mods compared to all r33's out there. Don't want to burst your bubble but I've owned and sold 10 gtr's and gtst's in the last few years and the market is dead unless you get a lucky buyer. Its a nice car but there worth nothing these days. Look at the amount of R33's for sale atm.
  3. Had this happen to me but not as bad about 10 years ago when I just go my licence and it happened all the time to a mate who had a datsun 1600. Undercover commodores around moorabbin would tailgate a few metres behind you flashing their high beams at night for a few hundred metres and then put on their cop lights and pull you over. They booked my mate the first time when he sped up. Bit of a cnt act if you didn't know their routine. So it does happen!
  4. I just changed the ps pump bracket? I must have run the rb20 bracket and pump as I never bought anything and it fitted. I might have modded it though. Can't rememeber but it would have only been filing. I thought the only difference between a r33gtr loom and r32 in relation to the ecu plug was you had to de-pin 2 wires and swap them around or is it where it plugs into the relays etc that you were having probs with. For resitors you can go to jaycar and make your own resitor pack for less than $5 using 7ohm? ceramic resistors and spend half an hour soldering it up. Worked for years. The thing that gave me grief was I modded the rb20 knock sensor loom and wired the knock sensors backwards so wasted a couple hours there where I kept getting fault codes. There isn't really to much that they changed. Only prob 2 things and they are simple fixes.
  5. Really impressive work. Does the brobo cut it that clean or do you have to clean it up a fair bit afterwards?
  6. What sort of price range are you looking at paying for a complete rolling shell minus engine. Might give a few of us an idea if its worth posting a response. I have a complied one here thats why I'm asking.
  7. Have one in my shed. You can have it for $50 if you pick it up. If I knew you wanted one I wouldn't have sent the ECU. Oh well.
  8. I have a genuine Jun 400r style front bar in pearl white. Has a couple little cracks but nothing you couldn't fibreglass in a couple hours. In Melb Would be after $200 as this is a million time better made than anything you will ever buy made in Aus.
  9. Why does everybody have to get on the moral high ground all the time. We all know these things! You guys worry way to much. Have you ever heard of people pulled over for towing to heavy a weight? Never. If your towing to winton I would prob be a bit more sceptical expecially if you don't have a transmission cooler. I'd imagine you'll cook the tranny and possibly the engine might get hot. Thought it was going to be sandown. My wrong. I'd say the old girl is going to struggle. Don't you have mates with bigger cars you can borrow for a day. Re pic above. A mate almost rolled his patrol with my boat on the back at xmas but that was because he didn't know what he was doing and hit the brakes when it started to sway on a downhill section (This is when trailers will sway most of the time) instead of accelerating out of it. We ended up in the dirt off the side of the road doing prob 80 semi sideways and then sideways squelling down the road. Didn't come around and hit us though. All he had to do was accel a bit and it would have been fine. I know heaps of people who have almost anded up in the shit towing cars on trailers. All due to swaying with lucky endings like my mate. Point being you need to know what your doing and weigh the towbar right as one of the guys said above. Boat is a bit light on the towbar and it sways on other mates cars. The gtr with 18's tows it fine. Its only about 1000kg inc trailer that almost rolled a patrol.
  10. Never heard of them coming stock? I have made them out of fibreglass and out of sheet metal before. Just knock up some yourself.
  11. I have a set of R32 GTR - Guard liners, Brake ducts, Undertray They are in very good condition with the only fault being one of the brake ducts has a little section worn on the front edge. These are getting very rare and hard to find in this condition. First thing to get damaged on gutters and accidents. The last set I sold I recieved about 25 pm's and sold in a night so we'll see how long these last. $200 The site won't let me upload atm so I'll put some pics up later. Also I won't seperate the ducts so please don't waste yours and my time asking. Melbourne
  12. Go the 26. Roy knows that the 26 is the way to go but won't admit it. His 20 love is to strong! So much easier to pedal a 26 vs 20. I'd personally go a 25/30 with a xr6 turbo, gtr inj and remap. Could prob have it in and running $2k
  13. Do it. I've had mates tow car trailers with cars on behind cars like fwd bluebird's and mazda's. It'll do it easy.
  14. Cod is fine. I understand since there are a few dodgy people kicking around the forums.
  15. BB I run 18x10 +12 with 265 rubber on my 32 gtr. Only had to lip the front guards with 3.5degree camber but on the rears I had to flare the guards a bit. Heaps of clearance back to the shocks on the inside of rim both ends. Wouldn't go this offest it you like your rear guards but it gives you an idea what not to go. I'm with the other guys and wanted the biggest track width and rims for the cheapest price to run bigger rubber with less sidewall flex. You won't be running the front guard liners if you want to go fastest as they will rub a lot with 5 - 6 degrees castor. Its really a pay off. Go ok on the track and have a nice car or do a few little mods and get the most out of it. I don't see the point spending big $ on your car and then not lip your guards and remove the liners to go faster. You should be able to fit 10 inch rims and 265 tyres with the right offset if they make them and maybe not even have to lip. I have some 18x9.5 rims in my backyard but don't know the offset. I could measure offset if you want to try and see what 9.5's will look like or to judge clearance. They sat a fair way in in my guards and I didn't like them but I think they have 235's. Its easy to see if the wheels going to rub. Spend 5 minutes. Pull the shock out. Jack the lower arm and turn the wheel. Are you going to run 265 or 245 tyres because that effects the look and chance of rub also?
  16. Melt it back together with a soldering iron and then a little bog and paint.
  17. One of the mines ecu's is payed for. One is still available.
  18. Ash I've been in the club for 7 years and only ever seen your car once or twice and never entered in anything except maybe a show and shine. You've spent a heap of coin on it.... You need to give it a hard time! Abuse it!
  19. I did the r26 gtst conversion myself in the carport about 7 years ago. Easy. Everything just bolts/plugs in together and chop the diff off the sump. Don't even need to weld it. My g/box with about 220rwkw lasted and survived a few drift and track days plus lots of thing I can't mention here. Loved 2nd gear launchs. Always put a smile on my face expecially since the 26 motor cost me 2k inc loom/afms etc off a wrecker in NSW back then. Best bang for buck thing you can do to a 32 gtst.
  20. Sorry guys. I just like to shit stir a little sometimes when I'm bored. R32 gtst calipers do overhang a bit and will give your result.
  21. I don't have any pad overhang or if I do it 1mm and I haven't modified the calliper. You must have had some dodgy brackets! All you geeks have no idea. Why is it dodgy. It works fine and is the cheapest upgrade you can do. Make some free brackets or waste over 1k on brembo's just to hava a brembo badge. Stop touching yourself. I wouldn't even care if I did/do have overhang. It would make changing the pads and disks easier because they don't get caught on the lip of the disk. Are the std brakes dodgy becuase they don't optimise the whole disk because there is a 1-2mm area on the od that doesn't get used. Dodgy my arse!!! Sydneykid used to use this bracket on his track cars and I have also cut a lot of laps with homemade and bought brackets and never had a problem.
  22. Can you lap in old syncro's in skyline box's. When I was in the Automotive industry. Lasted 4 weeks. One of the head mechanics said you can lap in some of the holden syncro's to make them work again. I guess they become glazed or the scores on them wear off? Wondering if it works or if people have heard of it or tried?
  23. Speaking to your old man I thought you were ditching the power steering by removing the guts ot of the rack. Less weight.
