  1. I have been pretty careful with the car,not reving it out much till I can get ICE to tune it as it has a brand new bottom end rebuilt by RacePace. I think the car will only pull around 340rwkw on Ice's dyno. The most I have seen is around 70%,but like I said,I havent extend it yet. I've been banking on upgrading the injectors as well, but I'll wait till after the other stuff goes in. What power are you making TommyK??? Another thing I found unusual about the car was that it pulled 270rwkw on RacePace's dyno when it first landed in Australia in 2003 with Std turbos Std inj Std pump Std fmic remapped ecu adj. cam gears std afm's OS Giken triple plate. That was how the car came off the boat.Who runs a triple plate with those mods? My brother was the first owner in Oz.We test drove a heap of GTR's,and this one blew our minds how quick it was.It also had Apexi N1 coilovers, now has HKS Hipermax.
  2. Car currently has HKS 2530's HKS dump pipes HKS front pipe HKS cat back HKS ebc HKS pods Trust fmic Nismo 600cc inj Adj. cam gears Forged pistons OS Giken twin plate(I also have an OS triple plate as well) 1.4 bar Apexi power fc The car was raced in Japan,we found tow hooks under the car and harness mounts under the back seat. Going in next week are HKS 264/264 cams Z32 afm Tomei fuel pump Apexi pods The car also has Tein castor rods and I have ordered a heap of Cusco and Ikeya Formula suspension pieces.I also have R34 GTR calipers and Project Mu discs going on. The fuel pump and af meters scare the crap out of me,but Ben says they are ok,Nigel at ICE said he has seen these figures with stock pump and afm before. I have just fitted 18x10 Nismo LMGT4 rims with 265/35/18 RE55 tyres. I will run the car down the 1/4 early next year.
  3. I dont like shootout mode,it made 340rwkw on Bens dyno in normal mode, but seeing how everyone posts up shootout figures,I thought i'd make it comparable. This run was done when my brother owned the car,Ice Performance will be fitting my new parts and retuning, but it wont be in shootout mode. My S15 has made 242rwkw on Ice's dyno, keen to compare difference.
  4. Every one should settle down and wait till he runs the 1/4,the MPH never lies, unlike tuners & dynos.
  5. The LMGT4's were fitted yesterday,it came with black Enkei's. I like the ride height, thats why I havent replaced the lip yet,$1200 for original. The motor has since been rebuilt with forged pistons at Racepace since this dyno run, made a little more, cant find the sheet. Have cams, afm's and pump going in soon, retune on 100oct Extreme.
  6. I've been on here a while now, thought I would post up a pic of my GTR and a dyno sheet.
  7. I know of a V8 twin turbo conversion in a 180 or S13 in Melbourne,Ash knows as well.
  8. New Zealander.Thats a great effort. Will he be second into the 7's in a GTR????
  9. I have used both Boost98 from Liberty with 10% ethanol and Optimax Extreme 100 with 5% ethanol.Car ran great with both, couldnt pick a difference.I'll probably stay with Boost98 because it is available at far more Service stations,is about 12c a litre cheaper than Extreme and a good power gain has been documented. If Extreme proves to be a better fuel,I will change as long as it is available at more outlets,I get 3 tanks of petrol a week, cant be hunting around all day,as there are no outlets near home or my office.
  10. I wonder what Zahos will say after reading that link??????
  11. Zahos, your quite an aggressive person arent you.Your lack of knowledge is coming through with each subsequent post,so stop now, please. I and my friends have had cars running 100% alchohol since the mid 80's,it is a far superior fuel for performance cars, end of story. If you were to fill your car with 100 octane Optimax and get your Power FC tuned on a dyno, there is no question you will see a power gain. You havent mentioned whether you actually have an aftermarket ECU,if you dont,I doubt you will see any benefits from this fuel. The biggest advantage will be to those running high boost (1.5bar and over) with an aftermarket ECU,not stock cars with an exhaust and pod running 1 bar with standard ECU. The benefits of Ethanol have been documented in the current issue of HPI magazine,so have the downside to those who dont do a retune,so calm down and listen to others, you might just learn something. Please take this the right way,I just felt you were getting defensive over a product that is obviously not suited or of no benefit to YOUR car,but will be to others ,like me. Cheers
  12. 100 octane gives me a hard on.......whats bugging Zahos, does he work for Mobil or something.
  13. I just gave the F100 ones away to a close friend, the others I'll sell or trade for car parts.
  14. I used a full tank of E10 fuel(10% ethanol) and the car ran great, but my current tune is a little rich. Can someone PLEASE post up Shell servos that have 100 octane fuel in Melbourne.I'm going to tune both my Nissans for this fuel.
  15. I already had custom plates on the S15 and the GTR,not sure what I'll do yet.
  16. Got more plates today.I've covered my costs with my non car specific plates,so if anyone wants any of the plates I've displayed in this thread,pm me. I've given the F100 plates to my mate, alot of the others are available.
  17. Everything seems ok in Vic now,no problem getting fuel today
  18. HPI issue 60 page 69.The fuel is known as E10 and you get it at United. The one in Mornington has had it for 3 months.I paid $1.15 for it last week.I'm going to get Ice to do a back to back dyno tune with this stuff, hopefully this week.
  19. Got more plates today.I did some research and found that ELV1S spelt that way, sold for 75,000 pounds in England and ELV11S sold for 45,000 pounds. Now thats some serious Elvis love
  20. Have a read of the new HPI,Donnon picks up 22rwkw in a GTR tuned with Ethanol 98,also 10c a litre cheaper.More power,less cost.......no brainer.
  21. No Optimax or Ultimate last night near my place, finally found some Synergy, but they were low.Looks like its the Ethanol 98 blend for me,and a retune.I used a tank last week, going to switch full time.
  22. In between comp r and regular, hows that for a cop out.The grip is really really good though.
  23. I'd never tried the old ones,I've only used A048's,A032's.
  24. My Yokahama AO32's had worn out so I went looking for a new tyre.As I drive my GTR everyday,R compound were wearing out quick.I decided to try the new RT 615's from Falken,at $330 a tyre for 255/40/17,they were cheaper than SO3's.They are not a true R compound but have thick sidewalls, aggresive tread pattern and brilliant grip, apparently I was the second guy to get them in Vic,someone else has a set on an STI. Very impressed with grip level, have not tracked them yet, wont get a chance as I have some LMGT4's with RE55's waiting on the docks for me.
