  1. They are the most common,along with the Princes Hway.Have seen them set up in all 4 places mentioned in the last 3 months.Very big operations when they do,photographers,EPA and cops in "getaway" locations.

  3. I walked into RMS in Mitcham,gave Henry $250 and he gave me a set of Project Mu brake pads,0-800c, that he carries in stock. A few months earlier I walked in and bought a set of HKS Hypermax coilovers for $1900.These were also in stock. I think people have forgotten how to shop,far too much reliance on the web.

  6. Can you still get a Trust TR for an R33 GTR.I have one in my S15,3.7",113db at idle,124db at 4000rpm,very,very loud,but wont restrict power in the least.
  7. Good point,but a racer will usually buy the best car for the job. My GTR has a rebuilt motor(Racepace) from when my brother owned it.It was raced in Japan.There were tow hooks under the car,harness mounting points were found when the rear seat was removed,R compound tyres.The car made good power off the boat,18 months later my brother spun a bearing,no great surprise,it was originaly built for racing.

  10. Maybe I used a bad example trying to get my point across. There are far fewer XY GT's around with original unbuilt engines than XY Fairmonts with stock original 302's or 250's. I dont think it's the car,but the driver. It was not my intention to piss off GTS owners.ANY car can be made to run a 10,even a DakDak.
  11. Well,I've had the car for 4 months,and as I drive it every day,all the time,getting it off the road to get it prepared isnt an option. Before that I put 187,000kms in 4 years on a 250rwkw S15 that blew the clutch and gearbox first time out at Calder. Do you do 1000km a week in your car.Do you drive it around for 8 hours,then roll up at the track,race,drive it home,then take the kids to sport in the morning. Next time I see a rep in 370rwkw Skyline I'll dip my hat to him. Sorry if my comment upset you,its just that I've been driving for 25 years and I've never seen anyone lust after a lesser model of a car.
  12. I said it was a broad generalisation. My GTR makes 370rwkw on 98octane,am putting 110 in it in a fortnight and hoping to emulate your 10 with 400+rwkw. Plus I drive my GTR for 8 hours a day,1000km a week,its my repmobile,enthusiastic enough for you.

Now this is a very broad generalisation,it is not intended to offend anyone,but it appears to me that more performance enthusiasts buy GTR's, and GTS's are bought by guys with less performance aspirations. The GTR guy will push the envelope,the GTS guy is happy with 220rwkw. Whether this is driven by available funds or attitutude,I dont know,but I would never consider buying a GTS,not sure how other GTR owners feel about owning a GTS,this is just my opinion. Cheers

  15. Here's mine,I have since had the twin turbo pipe polished.

Just had adjustable cam gears fitted to my GTR and retuned.The gain was a fantastic 17rwkw at the peak but closer to 40rwkw around the 4600rpm mark(140kmh).This is pretty much where my revs land after changing up at 8000rpm. The difference this has made to my acceleration is startling. I test my car on an unused road and my MPH at 400m has gone from 118mph to 126mph. Next stop Calder.

  20. The actuator rod fell off my S15 and I drove around for a week with no turbo/boost.Fuel economy was worse by 30km per tank.Whats this crap about keeping it off boost.I get 500km per 50 litres in my 250rwkw S15 and I only got 470km twice with no turbo!!!!

  22. Is the speed displayed on a Commander h/set accurate? Mine reads about 10km lower than speedo at 100kmh.

  24. My R33 GTR is not only a daily driver,it's my rep car.I do about 150-200km every day in it,then when I get home I run the kids around in it.I'm in the car for up to 6 hours a day. They love being picked up from school in a 350rwkw GTR. Before that I was using my 250rwkw S15.I did 185,000km in 4 years in that car.I only drive it about once a week now. Doesnt make much sense owning a nice car and not driving it everyday.I've been doing that for 25 years now,never owned a shitter to drive while my GT/Challenger/Chevelle/GTR sat in the shed.
  25. ^^^^^You have no idea.I have an issue of Wheels where they tested numerous cars at Avalon,mostly new,some old,and an R33 GTR was tops with around 310kmh.At the time,it was the fastest car they had tested at Wheels at Avalon.The car was not stock,but it was a regular streeter. My R33 hits 190kmh in 3rd at 8700rpm,using PFC as guide,speedo is out by about 12kmh at that speed.
