  1. hey guys just wondering what size exhaust housing i should order with my greddy td06-20g shoulod i get 8cm or the 10cm one, im after max power not so much less lag, wat rpm should a td06-20g hit full boost at? anybody can help i need to make my decision soon
  2. hey mate, i didnt want to muck around with pulling stuff outta the hicas pump. i went to the wreckers and bought a r31 pump, its works a treat but the only thing that is differant you will need a 10mm spacer in behind the mounting bracket on the pump so the power steering pump doesnt sit on the timing belt cover, you will also need a 3 groove belt as the hicas pump is a 4 groove, just make sure everything is lined up parrallel and it wont come off.
  3. ok,, anybody want a high flowed turbo ..
  4. i notcied on my r32 that if i took the hicas ecu out the steering went heavy then just plug it back in and it was fine
  5. is a HKS2535 to big for an rb20, i currently have a high flowed turbs but i dont think its pushing enough, would i be best off to go a hks2530 or a 2535 i seem to think the 2535 is better as its has a higher hp rating but will it be laggy on an rb20, how much boost would i need for it to hit 300rwhp with a 2535.
  6. just want to know would a .82AR exhaust housing be laggy on an rb20, say would it hit full boost (14psi) at 4000rpm. i dont know much at all about tubine housings... if anybody knows anything about exhaust housings and lagg on an rb20 please help us out. as im tryin to pick an ehxuast housing.
  7. wat size exhuast housing did you order with the gt3040r
  8. I wired in 10watt, 10 ohm resistors in series with each injector, they are all taped up along the fuel rail, they have been working fine for the past 2 weeks, mine dont see much heat because where they sit the fan blows air straight down the fuel rail, im yet to measure their temps though with the infra thermometer.
  9. lol i just ordered a hks actuator, the damn stock one cant hold anywhere near as much as i want it to, even with an ebc.
  10. i dont understand how these adjustable rods work....does someone want to explain how they work.
  11. More Piccies Added
  12. PM If interested. "NOTE car is now registered in queensland" photos show NSW plates Also just to add the engine now has a standard black rocker cover, can supply silver one but needs to be polished back a bit.
  13. i got my car tune dthe other day and they tried to run 18psi through the pfc boost kit, but it never happened because the boost kit couldnt control the additional boost, so im going to order a hks actuator to help the ebc cope with the boost control.
  14. ok so buy moving the whole actuator foward when the rod opens fully it is not open as much as it was originally, but doesnt a spring collapse easier once you have started to sqaush it. thus causing the wastegate to open earlier, or is it the other way around.
  15. how does this change the way it holds boost
  16. i did all the work myself, im guessing the standard actuator cant hold the 18psi boost spike, its just the standard rb20 turbo actuator on a high flowed unit.
  17. ohh forgot to list, they use fc datalogic (laptop) they are located at wilston brisbane
  18. mercury motorsport tunes power fc's pretty well i always see alot of skylines getting tuned there, resonable price to, $600 if its first time tuning, but if its just getting a tidy up such as you increase the boost and need it remapped it will only cost around $150
  19. does anybody know where in brisbane i can get my stock actuator modded? or where i can buy a replacement one from
  20. do i need to get the wastegate actuator looked at and maybe modded to take the big boost spike from the ebc? could this be causing the big boost loss?
  21. thats the thing, they installed my apexi boost kit for the power fc, they said it wasnt working very well because it kept losing so much boost and couldnt hold it at 18psi at all, so i gave them my old manual boost controller, and they tuned it for 12psi and said that the manual one worked a bit better and wasnt so spiky, they still couldnt get it to stay at 18psi with the manual boost kit.
  22. hey guys just got my rb20 tuned and finished today, its didnt pull the power i wanted but i think this is due to lack of boost, i have high flowed turbs and all the supporting mods to run over 320rwhp, but when they went to tune it at 18psi, it would spike there then drop straight back to 12psi, wat is the deal there, there is no leaks in the cooler pipin anywhere as they thoroughly went over them, could this be the actuator on the turbo giving in, or would it be the stock bov opening up? how to i test these 2 things, any recommendations on wat it is would be greatly appreciated. So atm its tuned on 12psi.
  23. well what can my problem be if its not the bov, when it was getting dynoed they could not hold 18psi at all it would spike there then drop to around 12psi, what could be causing this but a leak as they checked all the intercooler pipes for leaks and they said there was none, could my actuator be stuffed? i just blamed it on the stock bov because its the only part of the pipe work air can escape. my turbo is a highflowed job and should hold 18psi??
  24. just finished gettin my dyno result with the stock bov, and the guy said that it opens up as soon as it goes over 12psi, i wanted to run 18psi so i guess i have to whack on a new bov
  25. hey guys i really need some help,, i wired in my power fc boost kit today into my rb20det r32, (ap engineering power fc), now i was told that i had to wire in the red wire to pin 25 and the brown wire to pin50 when i look at the wiring pinout diagram from rb20det.com which way am i lookin at the diagram? can someone post up a pic or sumthin marking where i need to connect these wires in, as i have done this but my car wont run when the boost kit is enabled but runs fine when disabled.......im also not running the apexi map sensor as i was told i dont need to cos the r32 gts-t already has one standard. Ineed info on this asap as im getting my car tuned on monday and want this working.
