  4. there are lots of things that could explain those differences, you can't say that it is dirrectly related to head flow.

  9. if an rb 20 can flow 280rwkw, then i figure the head is not going to start restricting airflow just because it has a 3ltre bottom end.

  12. the reason i want to do this is i don't want to change my injectors or wiring, i am happy with my power i just want more response for drift. p.s. i have been quoted $600 for a 53mm koyo radiator, are they any good, a pwr 57mm is $800 are they worth the extra money, at the moment i get 2 laps of drift before the temp reaches 100.
  13. i'm in the process of collecting parts for the build, so far i have have a complete blown up rb20. i've found some gtr cams but i would like fial conformation that you can use them with the 20's hydrolic lifters. i've also been having trouble trying to get information on this conversion so if anyone has done it recently i'd love to pick your brain, mainly on whether you need to modify the combustion chambers and what needs to be done with the oil restrictors and drains. also i am having over heating problems with the car, so i am in the market for a BIG alloy radiator. what does everyone use and recomend. thanks for any help you can give me
  14. everybody puts rb25/26 heads on but can you use an rb 20 or is the chamber diameter too small. if it does fit which gasket should be used. what comp ratio would you end up with? i'm happy with the rb20 power(244kw) i just want more responce. if it can't be done can an rb 20 inlet manifold be used on an rb25 head, because i want to keep my injectors. i did a search but could't find anything. is there a thread on everything that is interchangeable between rb20/25/26/30 engines?
  15. great product, i'm using it to run 22 psi. the only drama i have had is when runing the hose from the intake manifold to the controller. the seat the ball sits on has built up with carbon and prevented it from sealing, this causes a loss of boost and has to be taken off the seat to get the boost back up. the best ways to stop this from happening is to run an inline filter, or source boost closer to the turbo where the air is cleaner.
  16. i'm thinking of doing this conversion, but i still need alot more infofmation before i start. i would like to know how much more response it gives, how much is a crank worth, is it necessary to go for a 33 crank for the wider oil pump drive, what inlet manifold should i use. what cam specs should i use. so far the power i have is enough to drift with but it would be alot easier with better response.
  17. mine is running 22 psi at 244 rwkw, holds it perfect.
  18. well i could probably turn my fuel preasure up and reduce my milli seconds but it will probably stuff up the map. is there any way to do this accurately without putting it back on the dyno?
  19. after wanting to burn my car, i have finally got a decent power figure-244rwkw. this is with standard motor, standard cams and cam gears set at 5 degrees advance. my gtr injectors are now at 100% duty cycle, does anyone know what is the maximum duty cycle that is safe to run. i have no idea how to post up the dyno sheet.
  20. i had a similar problem on my rb 20, turns out it was a blocked rear muffler. are you having any trouble gettiing boost ?

  22. i've got a 31 with an rb20 with the exact same problem. let me know if you figure it out.

  24. gates belts are pretty noisy, should change the pulleys as well
