  1. can people put up there power figures also, because its alot harder to keep a high power car cool than stock power.
  2. i have a snap-on digital torque wrench that does degrees as well. when you do the fifth step to 85-90degrees my torque wrench tells you what torque it took to get there. it normally gets to 100nm. that would indicate that the bolts should be thrown out after the second step because you just stretched them.
  3. have you checked the ignition timing?
  4. I'm making 330kw(445hp) out of a 3582 on 23psi with standard coils breaking down. I'm at full boost at 3500 and have 10 psi at 3 flat - massive rage of usable power, and i don't have to work on twins. Single FTW!
  5. That's the advantage of this setup, most people don't realize that there car looses power after long periods of full throttle, try holding any car flat on the dyno for two minutes. Setting up the cooling system right prevents steam pockets or hot spots from forming in the head, which can stop valves from seating properly and uneven cylinder preasures leading to power loss. Obviously this probably isn't that much of a problem on a street car car, but on a track car the advantages are there. Nathan
  6. i can't beleive no one else has cooling issues. more than half the field in DA have cooling problems on hot days or during lots of reruns.
  7. i run one of his water pumps on my 26. i had alot of trouble controlling water temps until i set up the bleeds in the head. i'm yet to spend time restricting the top hose and playing with pulley diameter to get the right block preasure, but as i'm not having problems with temps any more, it could be a while. john is an extremely smart man judging by the couple of conversations if had with him, i'd love to talk to him more but he's always extremely busy. if you have the time and money, you should try his ideas, you'll learn heaps.
  8. i have mine where the spare wheel used to be. hope i never get a flat
  9. good luck changing the oil filter.
  10. the place to be for drift at the moment is qld, there tracks aren't great but they have multiple drift days every week, almost tempted to move there myself.
  11. who do i pay again? can't you just sort it out and i pay you? sunday sounds good, sms me if you go.
  12. dam, i still don't have access. so why didn't the car start? when are you guys going to cruise down here again?
  13. thats cool. i don't drive my car very often but even when i do the cops hardly look at me. i've only been breath tested a couple of times and they were at rbt's. p platers get hammered by police round here. i tell them to ask for their name an badge number and make an official complaint but they never have the guts to do it. if only car enthusiasts would stick up for them selves so the cops would think twice before they pull people over for no reason. good luck with your future run ins and i hope you can figure out a way not to have to go for an epa test when they tell you too. keep us posted. ps. isn't this on topic?
  14. no, not entering this year, can't afford it. think i'll stick to drifting, cheque book racing isn't for me. maybe one day if i inherit some money. ps. sorry for the miss quote, if it makes you guys feel any better i can edit my first post or just round it up too 1.22.
  15. you did remember to put the flywheel on?
  16. can you put in an official complaint for harassment?
  17. I did a 1.20 with 280rwkw and Federal RS tyres. I'm running an rb26 with a gt3582, retuned it last week on e85 and it made 320rwkw.
  18. if i did it again they'd never let me back.
