With the 15yr old imports they usually don't get inspected. Once you have Engineers certificate and blueslip, RTA just registers it. With RAW complied vehicle getting registered in personal name, they always get inspected, but RAW vehicle getting registered in dealers name normally doesn't get inspected unless randomly selected. They check numbers but also check for car in general. For example if car was too low they would probably knock it back.

Just got home, helps when you only live 10mins away from tthe nasho park turnoff. Great cruise, must have been about 40 cars there. All went well despite some early attention from from the cops at Kirrawee, apparently they ran my number plate through their computer but as car business registered they got zip. I was in the pearl white 4 door R33. My first cruise with you guys but definitely not the last. When's the next one??

Imported the missus a 1989 300ZX twin turbo auto totally stock. First she whinges it's to quiet, in process of fixing that, but oh dear she doesn't like the stockies on there. So after a set of alloys that will fit, the fatter and lower profile the better. Anyone got some??

Had same problem with one of my dashes, took it out and went to Miranda Instruments (Sydney) and they repair and bench test it, cost about $100. The fine tracks or solder joints on the back break, and basically they go thru and fix any bad joints or tracks.

Give Greg a call at Autosports in Kirrawee, I know his done heaps of swaps on R33's, sure he can give you a price for the R34.He'll do the lot including swapping instrument cluster so you'd never know it was an auto. Shif_tea, There may be some hope, we had a Xmas party at our place and about 9 cars got scratched, some only on one panel, others completely around car. Approx $30K to $40K damage. Turns out to be little 7 yr old girls not really knowing what they were doing. The parents actually were going to bank to borrow money to repair cars when by accident found that the parents House & Contents Insurance, under the Contents public liability covered the damage. I know sounds weird, but the people have had their cars fixed. So if you know who the parents are, and could find out if they have Contents insurance, then there may be some hope. Perhaps ask the Police to chase that avenue for you. Good Luck !!!
