here's a thought ... go to your workshop and ask them what's required to make your car legal. a few dollars spent before hand will save alot of hassle later. skylines and imports will always get targeted - it comes with the car. i was recently required to take my car for a QT inspection under s36 of the transport roas use managment act. they sent me a letter in the mail to enforce this - i was not pulled over. if QT or QPS have a reasonable belief your car does not comply they can do the same to you. there are plenty of heavily modified rides that are legal inspection passed

Why Is My Car Still Overheating After All This!?
gtt23 replied to PAV34's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
had similar issues with my 34 not long ago. i went a new radiator, oil cooler and lower thermostat. bit to spend but had no problems since. factory gauge was little use compared to power fc which monitored much better. -

i run a sard lower temp thermostat in my 34gtt (amongst also an oil cooler and thicker radiator). do some dyno runs on your car and see what results u get at different operating temperatures; i found 80's were fine but once in 90's i was losing noticable power. car now runs 70's - 80's in most conditions thus when i want/use the power (and the engine gets hotter)... i don't loose that power as a result

IMO, 4.5 v8 believable but would only be in rwd - else would be competing too much with gtr territory - makes sense otherwise though.

just wondering what you base that on ... never heard of them being either crap or illegal ???

see ---> Previous Thread <--- being in queensland i cant really help you with anything closer but if ivan (see above thread) still has his rims and he might be able to transport them. good luck with it, john.

i have them also in my 34 gtt. i believe it is a factory option as i have seen both with and without.

i'll take one in black! ... or perhaps this one
-
black ??? ... i wish mine was black sometimes .... i best say silver in case she hears... SILVER. nothing has more road presence than the r34 GTR. the gtt is still a 34 ... but no GTR i think the r33 gtst is the vl of yesteryear and in another 10 years time it will be the xr6turbo. i feel sorry for r33 GTRs cuz they get mistaken for gtst's but otherwise are best priced for condition. nothing can give the same bang for buck as a 32 GTR. (shame it'll need fixing) they have a rough primal appeal that cannot be matched. and the 32 gtst is a 6 cylinder silvia. (the only 32-34 skyline i don't think i'd consider buying) the v35 is a 2+2 350z but the z's look better. the v36 has mercedes headlights. and my personal favorate - the GTR PROTO which is not infact being labled a skyline. v36 pic for those who haven't seen one... my thoughts only - not meant to offend.

Considering A Aftermarket Turbo For A R34 Gt-t
gtt23 replied to Gazzilla's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
have a flick through Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results might give u a better idea different results people are getting with different turbos. i run a garret t3076r which is a lowmount with internal wastegate. i find it to be pretty responsive however other bits n pieces will need upgrading to make the most of it. (am aiming at 1.4 bar) if you only plan to run 1bar however you may get away without some of that. i'd have a chat to some workshops and get their opinions then do some research based from their recomendations. ultimately the more honest you are with what u want from it in the first place the less dissapointed you will be in the long run. good luck with it. -
Nrma ,told Me Things Are Illegal! Wtf! Is Going On ?
gtt23 replied to DREW32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
ahh but does this extend to within ur home or a private premise? (as in your garage/carport or place of business is not a public place) i wouldn't think so. just an opinion ... well my opinion anyway -

I Am A Bloody Idiot. Please Read And Help
gtt23 replied to habibskyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
^^^ this is exactly the sought of advice someone like this needs... if u want him to keep doing it and post up every few months asking how he can get out of trouble again. ^^^ a. total bull (but this is not the place for such debate) and b. goes to show how serious u are taking this - ^^^agreed. seriously everyone's done/does stupid things but take a look at his posts and replys... does "I Am A Bloody Idiot" refer to doing the act or getting caught??? (one has to wonder) a few people (including myself) have thrown up some ideas / suggestions... TAKE THEM! until you show you have learnt form this people will keep flammin you. i really have to wonder why the judge would susspend/disqualify his licence and not impose huge fine and/or minor time... losing it before obviously didn't have an effect on you in the past. driving is a privilage, not a right; and getting caught is meant to give you that reality check... it obviosly hasn't so here you are ... again. good luck with it anyhows and say hi to teabag for everyone -
Ivan at Hi Power Racing might have a set
