do what those guys said above i suppose. also i was thinking of resetting your computer so that it learns from preschool how you drive and the environment it is in. it would of been sucking in all that low oxygenated air causing many many things as well, hence maybe your reason for pinging....

Hello, I hope this thread becomes sticky so that all of you can benefit from using it. I have a mad passion for cars and especially the GT-R's. The reason for creating this thread is to: 1. Have a quick and easy way to get required part numbers 2. Have a "directory" style way of listing the numbers 3. Become more knowledge on car setup, through experience So below will be threads dedicated to each model listed above in the Topic Description and they will be continuously updated from time to time. Essentially this is a labour of love and I will try and get as much up in my free time. Good Luck and Happy searching. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Data integrity is given here to use at your own risk. Whilst care is taken to attain the correct number, the responsibility is on you to confirm with who you have you part supplied by. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOR REQUESTS: Please specify the following, the more the better and easier for me to get the right number for you. Model: R32 R33 R34 S15 etc Year: MOST IMPORTANT! Colour: Colour if body part. Model Number: Blue plate - Really handy if you get this Chassis Number: Blue plate - Really handy if you get this ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Input Recognition List Thank you for your help to this list of goodies that will certainly help all skyline owners. arep3, intune,

Yay I have found access to Nissan Fast. I have been using it for personal use to locate part numbers the R32 GTR manual does have. The reason I use it personally was because I was getting tired of ringing up Nissan to get someone with a crappy attitude and wasting 30mins trying to explain what I am after, with respect they are very helpful. So if you want to save time on the phone trying to describe the part your after to the Nissan Dealers send me a PM on what you need and I'll do my best to find your OEM part number you can take to Nissan. **I take no responsibility on the integrity of the part number that is given** I know there is something like this in the forums but i couldnt find it. ---MODS--- if I am crossing some boundaries here, just delete this topic. As a minimum i need: Model (ie. R32) AND/OR VIN-code or Chassis Code (I havent used this yet, it is beneficial for coloured parts, ie panels) Name of item wanted General description -Have Fun

Cars You Want, But Your Country Wont Import.
arbess replied to Rabid's topic in General Automotive Discussion
maybe when the US starts setting up free trade to other countries then your worries are no more... but until then, enjoy your v8's. btw i love the new corvette ls6, unlike the wannabe hsv's ls1 pushrod technology. have fun and come down under. p.s I have probably stated the above comments out of context but, I feel for your dilemma. =) -
Where Is A Good Place For Wheel Alignment And Wheel Balance
arbess replied to nismoskyline32's topic in Queensland
lol at 18th century shit.... i believe now they have camera alignment machines that are all computerized, i guess you can call the laser soooo last century. -
hold on before you replace, check that the speedo cable on the gearbox is connected, thats all your problem could be. its just underneath where you sit driver side. its the only cable that comes off the gearbox on that side, so you shouldnt miss it. no speed = no hicas = heavy steering = real excitement

possibly a sensor issue. im no electrician, but these windows are obviously suppose to tell the motor to stop once it reaches a point. Im thinking its got to be some form of mechanical lever that will "flick" once the window is up all the way. good luck finding it.
-
yeh mines does the EXACT same thing....!!! well all before i put the new one in, although it still didnt fix the pausing at high speeds. It must be the cluster, or maybe something on the transmission side of the cable, NFI! When you figure it out let me know!
-
yeh the CCA of the new battery might be too low to crank the 6 cyl. i think r32's should be CCA 400+

Good work with your times. I remember the days when it was stock as a rock and i left you for good in my car, i think it would be an opposite story now days. Congrats again

What Is Your Fuel Of Preference And Why?
arbess replied to skybt1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
So there is Myth about V-Power Racing not being suitable for turbo's is untrue? can i use it in my gtr? -
The battery charge and life is absolutely paramount in operation of the HICAS, from all my experience, and also the speedo cable from recent experience. I would say your battery is on its way out, and buy a new one. good luck
-
check your piping around the intercooler, tighten the worm clamps. and/or your turbo's could be gonnnne.
-
And from what i hear, N1's are better. From memory 400ish?
-
sorry to bring up an old thread, but i just wanted to say that when i repaired my speedo plastic needle with electrical heat shrink, it eventually desintegrated and my speedo failed to work again. I have since purchased a new gtr speedo cable brand new from nissan at 90 bucks trade price. spent about 2 hours removing and refitting, if anyone has done it, OMFG I HATE THE TRIANGLE BIT. On a related issue, done anyone have a probelm when the go above a speed limit and the needle kinda "sticks" then moves, "sticks" then moves? ie. its not smooth movement? mine seems to do it after 110. really gay, but not a big issue as im a good boy and stick to the 110km/h limit

Misc Parts From R32 Half Cut And Odd Pieces... Pm Me What U Need
arbess replied to markimak's topic in Classifieds
mate do you have the inside rear view mirror?? -
Dont punch your cat guts out in the first place and you have solved your own problem with the cops. Simple... why make it complicated. I'll tell you now, if you punch them out, you are a prick, and deserve a huge fine. If you want to know what pollution is like, move to asia and live there 24/7, then come here and tell me that you still want to punch your guts out. not taking it out on you, but be a little more considerate and forget the 13 year olds that you will please with flames coming out your pipe.

duuude that sucks man.... i think you can get them for 80 bucks trade price. i dont have any badges on my gtr...... so lonely
