Ben,
Good to hear your still alive and well. How is everything?
This would be an interesting one to join, but I'd have to check the calendar. Do you still have the raging purple machine? If you do and your local come around holdout =).
If i'm free and I have $$$ I'll tag along with you and be charlie with a walkie talkie.

AND I HAVE FAST AGAIN!
From all the PM recently about me getting numbers, i thought it was a good idea to reinstall after i lost my copy.

CAS
Coils
Fuel pump
PTU (Ignitor pack)
wiring.
ecu.
AFM's.
could be anything electrical.
so many things, you'll just have to start cancelling out some stuff.
bout 200 bucks. or if your lucky know someone its free =P
the caps are replaceable. my repco shop didnt have any caps that fit but apparently an injector shop should have the same size ones.
my gosh... from the handwriting and the message you wrote it seems like you lead a double life, Vish by day and Vish-nina by night! lol.
you sold the asian skinned 34?! why why why...........................
hmmm sounds like your going to have a heap of fun trying to find it, just like i did.
my thread might give you some ideas:

best if luck.
how old is the cable assembly in there now?
The nylon needle could still be there but it might just be free spinning. this common problem in the 32's are due to a cracked pin-housing that you will see when you pull the pin out.
there are simple and very good ways of fixing this and there is the best way.
simple: heat shrink the housing so it provides an artificial clamping force
best: buy a new cable. lol
good luck
Sorry Tez, I personally can't fix a washing machine, BUT my dad can, LAWL. At my house, its a one stop shop!
hmmm might be a faulty HICAS.... if only QANTAS employed skyline mechanics, easy! =P
Thanks dude. It was a bit scratchy since I was very tired.
Hopefully that helps for work you might come across.
I don't think anyone had did as much research as I did for this problem, I literally searched the entire WWW for help on this and this must be the only unique answer to similar stuttering problems.
Always happy to put my input into it, at least its a win-win situation where I learn something and everyone else learns something. Maybe next time it will be a different machine. woot.
Arbz
could be AFM related. 2500rpm sounds like safe mode. you can initiate safe mode by disconnecting your AFM and it wont go past 2500rpm and run like sh*t.
I havent come across a bad AFM but I did resolder my afm joints just to be safe.
Definately Electrical from the sounds of it. if you read my post about stuttering you'll see how frustrated i got when i found my answer.
good luck.
hehe. a good feeling huh?
tell me about it, im glad its over. i still have a high idle which is one of me next two things to do.
aaaaaaaahahaha, thats a good one.
hopefully when i finish my engineering degree, this type of shizzz will keep me from going insane. always good to keep the mind busy and then rewarding it by feeding it with good quality scotch.
