Plans have now changed for the Sunday the 16th, we now have access to the gocart track in rocky, so for all those feeling charged up by a good car show and cruise then let all that built up anger out in a gocart that is hella fun to drive, and aint yours!!!

Hello everyone. Just trying to let everyone know that there is a Hi- Tech car show in Rockhampton, central queensland. We have already found a great accessable spot and a few minor sponsors The show will be held on the 15th of May 2004. Hopefully we are giving you enough warning! We are trying to organise a show mainly aimed at Hi-Tech modified car owners. This mainly lends itself towards owners of Imports... however we will also be open to all sorts of interesting vehicles. Including blown EFI commodores, Hi-tech and custom 4x4's and anything of special interest... like a blow through turbo'd carby L18 motor in a Hi-ace van... anything like that... If you come you will see that rocky has some crazy cars like a 4wd turbo patrol with 340hp at the bags Entry for both Spectators and Entrants will be free. So the only cost is if you aren't a local you will have to find accomodation and get your vehicle here. As well as the show on Saturday morning, we will be holding a Supercruise around the lovely town of Rocky on Saturday night. Hopefully we will be able to organise a large variety of cars and car owners to come on this cruise so we can make it as fun and exciting as possible. then incase you thought all the fun was over then. We will be having another cruise to Yeppoon on Sunday morning around 11am. It will be starting from the Northside Plaza carpark and we will meet and greet before heading off to a open highway cruise of about 40 kms before we reach beautiful Yeppoon beachs. There will then be a BYO BBQ at the Bluff before everyone dissappears home after a great weekend of meeting like minded car NuTZ. Rick and Dan are trying to organise it as much as possible so we can get all the details to everyone ASAP. For all the out of towners this is a great chance to meet the Rocky locals and see some nices sites while cruising with a heap of cars... sounds fun don't it. If we have enough out-of-towners we will even try to organise some other activities for everyone so you can see the sites and make some new import friends. Hey its awesome to see more and more imports drag racing! My older brother and i are into old school V8 valiants and drag racing and about a year ago my brother brought a s13 non-turbo siliva to run around in. Well needless to say we got pretty bored with the performance of the sr20de and decided to bang a turbo on the side of the nonturbo motor. So far the only mods to the siliva is a front mount intercoola, a s14 turbo and a nizmo lsd, and the little "Q" has manged to rip out a 12.91@107mph, with stock na internals, stock turbo manifold and all, And she still going strong after bout 8months of just getting punished, We has some old 16" 225's streeties and we are heading to our local drag strip again this weekend to see if we can better this time with better traction. Oh yeah and she only runs 10psi, It still has the stock na computer running it all, but we have a microtech mtx8 to go in it but we just havent gotten around to it yet, I'll let you know about how we go this weekend asap. The Stanza is a pretty cool car, a friend of mine from bundy built it, glen hopper is his name, top bloke if you ever see it at the drags again, stop and have a chat, he will talk, The car all up owes him $8grand but that includes buyin the car, mod plates rego and all, it a mad little car, But like i said if you see him again stop and have a chat he will be all to willing to show you his car, not that it looks like much but it is a work of art, r33 gearbox, he made his own bellhouseing for it, blue bird diff, microtech, home made adjustable cam wheels. He also has a 12.2 second 4g93 gsr lancer, it cool as well. Oh to have his toys

i dont live in brissy but we come down for a cruise everynow and again from rocky in my brothers siliva, 80STN, it a neat "Q" siliva with just the usually 18's no body kit. Usually to coenside with the drift weekend a willowbank. (Drift good) And after seeing the amount of cops down there i was fully shocked, they were just everywhere, you could not move with out getting in trouble, in all truth you would think that dont have anything better to do, maybe they should try catching some real crooks rather than bothering us

Oh yeah and all my gauges and warning lights got here yesterday, so we were mucking round with them last night, gee they look fat, sorry hardcore is a better word for it, Trying to con DC into mounting them in the "Q" for a little while till the VC gets back on the road, just working out the pros and cons and if it is worth it.

Very easily, the people at the drags dont seem to mind, we have strapped camera's in loads of peoples cars, from DC's to Big bills falcon. Just make sure it is in tight, both times we have just dodgied it up and used the camera strap as the support.

He is only 15, and just remember that we were all like him at 15.
