I have also had this problem on my R31, seen it on a few other cars too..... when the car is cold and engine off, turn the fan in the engine bay... if it turns very easily, it's fine, otherwise, the clutch on the fan is gone in case you don't know what the clutch is, it is the the thing the fan is bolted on to.

if you can start it when SAFC or AFM is unplugged, (same thing, coz unplugging the SAFC is essentially unplugging the AFM), but cant start it when they are plugged, then it it most likely rooted (the AFM that is)

DONT TRUST THEM I have seen 2 friends burnt with guys that said exactly that, or "Mate I know a panel beater that will do it cheap" F*** that, call your insurance company and tell them what happened... why do you pay all that money??? they are there to help you. They will make money out of this guy, so they will be glad to help you. Twice I got hit, and both times called them immediately. After explaining situation, they told me to go fix my car, and they chased the other guys for money. there is a 99.9% chance this guy wll turn around after 2 months of chasing him and say - what are you talking about mate??? I never hit you!!! Then you will be left with the bill. Of course that is the worst case scenario, but it is very likely, and as i said, i have seen it happen twice!

Yeah, these guys dont do a good job of balancing, I'd still take it elsewhere for balancing after they do it. None the less, they have many great bargains. I once got some duds off them, and they refunded me (at $20 less per tyre as it was a few weeks since i got them), as long as I got some others off him..

I have twice used superfinish near the corner of warrigal rd and south rd moorabbin. (big white building) All I can say is excelent job and excelent service. Last time he did my car, they did more than what they quoted, just b/c they try to maintain a certain level of profesionalism, and reputation of quality... Every other panel beater just tells me "yeah, yeah we can do that mate" when I ask them... These guys took me in their workshop and showed me how they would do certain things. I highly recommend them Call 9532 0900, and ask for Con. Say that George with the burgandy R33 recomended you.

do the BBS wheels fit an R33? I don't know if skylines and WRX's have the same stud pattern / offset...

Can I get a pair in Tan, with the Honda "H" emblem in white. I couldn't find any good pics of the emblem, all I have is this blury one. I can try to chop it when I get home... what methods of payment do u accept?

yeah, true, but will it still switch with alower current? I'm guessing it will, as I tested all relays with a 12V, 500mA transformer, and the others all switched. From the looks of it, I may have to get an original as it has a 555 timer in there too. Pretty weird for an A/C relay....

haha, that happened to us once, some drunken knobs were about to jump on the bonnet of my wifes car... I got out and went nuts before he had the chance, and the guy sh1t himself.... then I realised he had 2 carloads of mates with him, but he apologised anyhow so no harm done.... the look on his face was funny though, and the guy went from party mode to that look a 4 year gets just before they start to cry.... that was the best part...

Hi, This is not skyline related, but from my wife's 96 holden astra. There is a 4 pin 5A relay that has shat itself, but I cant find an aftermarket replacement. It is used for the A/C I think, and my question is: Can I use a relay with a higher current tolerance? Like a 4 pin, 30A relay instead as they are very common. From my understanding the only reason for this relay being 5A is b/c it is more cost effective for the manufacturer. Thanks
