  1. A clutch is about $800 installed, then there is the cost of renting your car out to him for a month (~$1000), and then there are dickhead fees ($5000) in this guys case... so to make it fair, get some bricks (use gloves for fingerprint purposes), and throw them into the bonnets of about 7 cars he has in his yard! Make sure when you approach the dealership at night you wear a balaclava as he might have camera's, and dont drive there in your car. Make sure you also have an aliby... If the dogs might be an issue, then I have found the easiest way around this is to mix some broken glass from light bulbs into some mince meat, and feed it to them. They will be shitting blood, and will surely die. If he catches you, tie him up and take him for a drive. Go to a nice gravel road, hold him out the door and drag him along the ground while someone is driving... Then stop somewhere, strip the pr1ck, and threaten to cut his c0ck off with a machette! At this stage he may offer to fix your car... if he doesn't, ram a stubbie up his arse, and then you and your mates piss all over him. Tell him that you will kill him if he doesn't pay up.... That usually works...
  2. you are still wasting your money, trust me! Just go and spend $3 per plug on coppers. They are much better for the line, as platimuns dont do jack for performance (in fact, in some cases they were worse), and you will need to change them before you know it (b/c of line running so rich!!! Search around these forums on this. It has been brought up many times, and you can find heaps on good info on this! Always do that before asking a question, as many subjects raised have been covered many times....
  3. when you say it feels like the brakes have been applied, is it like someone has SLAMMED them on hard, or is it like they are being applied gently? I'm guessing it's the first, as at 1 bar, you are definately hitting the boost cut, and with a std exhaust and standard intercooler, your AFM will be maxing out! If your intercooler is stock, and you have set the ebc for 1 bar, your turbo is producing almost 2 bar, to make up for the preassure drop accross the intercooler!!!! Keep it at this setting and your turbo wont last long at all, especially with a SII R33. Wind it down to 0.7 bar (no more), and let us know how you go... Even when you upgrade your intercooler and exhaust (and intake), I would not be going past 0.8 bar with the stock turbo.... if you want it to live... Zahos
  4. about $3-4 VS $18-$20 just go the coppers. Also try doing a search as this has been posted many upon many of times... the best copper plug i have tried so far is NGK BCPR6E (WITHOUT the -11 on the end, meaning a 0.8 mm gap rather than 1.1) If you have boosted your car, the plugs will perform better longer at a gap of about 0.65 - 0.7.
  5. 1. Dont speed 2. Take off slowly (even if this means riding the clutch a tad) 3. Use engine braking as well as your brakes (around corners too) 4. take it easy around corners 5. Don't tailgate common sense is a must!
  6. NO, because, if war starts, - it will create jobs for the US - their ecomony will start to recover, hence - the US reserve bank will bump their interest rates up, AND - as our reserve bank seems to follow the trends of the US reserve bank, our interest rates will rise.... hence It will take longer to pay my f'n home off!
  7. Has any1 heared or read anything about the filtration of the O2 rush (double layer foam type) filters? I know they flow extremely well, but have yet to see anything on their filtration abilities...
  8. Hey nark, if u read the FAQ man, it actually says: "Remove the carbon canister (makes more room in the engine bay) " This mod doesn't improve power in any way, but is done to free up space in the engine bay. The can gets in the way when making a CAI partition, and I'm sure other ppl have found it to be obtrusive for other reasons. At least you have some more space in your engine bay now
  9. 8's are cooler for big boost, 7 and 8 are both good, but with aftermarket managent, and bigger injectors I'd lean towards 8 coppers, Iriways, platinum all perform the same, but coppers dont last as long. I'd go the coppers anyhow as replacing spark plugs is better than cleaning (as you would with the more expensive at certain intervals) Dont know if coppers come in 8's but a good choice in 7's is NGK BCPR7E. If there is a BCPR8E, then go for that... my 2 cents Zahos
  10. hehehehehehe fatz u r a cunny funt I was almost smoked by a VN, and an EB falcon!!!! I was day dreaming until last minute when I realised these pricks were revving to drag me.... then the lights went green and I bogged down By the time I caught up, I was embarassed! So I had to give them another run at the next lights just to prove a point!!!! I once got smoked in my R31 by an odd looking datsun 200B. Turns out this guy had the front end extended with a 351 in it!!!!! Now that's very unlikely!!!
  11. Good luck to you man, but you shouldn't have to go look for it!!! They are supposed to be PROFESSIONALS, but all professionals are farken sh1t kickers!!!!! I don't trust ANY so called professional to touch my car, unless I don't have the time, or the tools! If I were you, I would take note of how long it takes you to find the problem. Then rip a quote out of your arse, as any so called professional would, add 20% wank factor to it (again as they would), and you then know what kind of damage you should do to his business. (Smashing windows, walls, etc..) Also leave a note saying: "You should have just fixed the stuff up you made" (But I am easily angered and don't always think straight when things p1ss me off) I had a mechanic who is now out of business stuff my car up, then charge me for his stuff up! So I rooted his place of business by writing what I thought of his workshop with used engine oil, all over the ground outside his workshop! An alternative approach to use, which has ALWAYS worked for my sister (she can be a real bitch), is to walk right into the shop, and say OUT LOAD AND CLEAR, for all customers to hear, exactly what happened, and ask them what they plan to do about it! If they still say it's our word against yours, and that you cant prove it, then ignore that comment, and keep repeating yourself saying the customer is always right, why would I lie about this.. this is unacceptable... I will take legal action (even if you wont, threaten them in a very demanding voice)! PERSISTENCE! Don't stop until you get what you want!!!!! The trick is to be extremely arrogant, rude, LOAD and persistent! Why my sister even got her insurance company to buy 2 hubcaps, without her even paying excess?!?!?!?! I don't know how she did it, but she did!
  12. copper platinum, WHATEVER they are, it makes no difference to performance! Do a search and you will find sh1tloads of threads on this topic! Only thing is coppers dont last as long! But anyhow, I know I'd rather use coppers, coz if u are going to pull plugs out every 10 - 20000K to clean them (as you do with the platimuns), then you might as well change them! If your not using coppers, then your wasting your money!
  13. exactly.... My g/friends 96 astra has it as standard.... A switch in the glove box with a vent from the aircon. It really is quite good, although we dont get that much usage out of it...
  14. no worries, thanks anyhow Zahos
  15. but is that included in the $550 you said previously, or is that extra? (so $630 with freight?) It's just that I have allocated myself a certain budget for SAFC + tune, and if SAFC-II fits in that budget, I would prefer to go for that... thanks Zahos
  16. Did that include shipping? If not, do you mind telling me what it cost in total? Thanks Zahos
  17. When I go into my user control panel, and try to view all my subscribed threads, it tells me that there have been no posts to my subscribed threads in the past 30 days. The only time there is ever anything in this section is when i have had a reply I have yet to view. Has this issue been raised yet? Zahos
  18. Keep an eye out on the forums, and trading post for a good deal. I think if you set yourself a budget for each piece, you can get an entire system for just over that price. As an example, I got a HKS Super dragger (retail new for over $1K), for $250 on these forums. Then I spent $400 on a dump and front pipe(new). Now that leaves me $350 to buy a hi flow cat before I hit the $1000 limit...... I guess I was lucky though picking up a cat back for $250, but you might find a good deal too. Zahos
  19. oops, forgot the pic
  20. Here 'tis http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...12337#post12337 They are called MAKSPEED (call the store in little china town). They will have one for an R33 (dual guage holder), but I got the universal one, and chopped it to fit the shape of my pillar. Take a look at the pic... I have a L shapped bracket where the red circle is that slots in between the pillar and the windscreen, A straight bracket where the blue circle is that goes in between the pillar and the dashboard, And a strap of leather (b/c it can only stretch a little) where the green circle is, with a clip on the end if it, so I can tie it to the pillar. This way I didnt have to make any holes, and I can remove it easily.... Zahos
  21. There was some place here in melb that was selling some trust immitations for $80. I bought one, and the quality is very good. I will try to remember the name of the place....
  22. Oil: I use Shell Helix (fully synthetic) 5W-40. It's about $42 for 5 litres and performs really well. Im my experience, It has stayed cleaner than Mobil and Castrol oils, and my car seems just a little smoother with it. As far as plugs go, just stick with $3-$4 copper plugs NGK-BCPR6E (For RB25), as the only diffence with coppers and Iridium/Platinum plugs is that the coppers dont last as long. But seeing as Skylines run so rich, changing plugs more often is desirable, as you would need to pull your platinum/Iridium plugs out for cleaning every so often.
  23. On my last car (R31), I had bought a set of lovells springs (they dont exist anymore), and they were great! The felt very stiff, and handled well considering I didnt upgrade shocks, swaybars, etc.... One of them broke eventually, so I had to get new ones... Since they weren't around anymore, I decided to get some king springs.... They were CRAP compared to the lovels! The car was bouncing around like crazy (with new shocks). They took a few months to sag, and became even worse! To say the least, my cars handling was better with the original springs.... Well, thats my experience with king springs. The springs they manufacture for R33's may be completely different, but I thought you might like some feedback from someone who has had a negative experience... Zahos
  24. I bet you like it when she does though
  25. aluminium baseball bat is better... Lighter weight alows you to swing it quicker! IF you do so though, I'd also carry a couple of gloves, and balls in the boot too.
