  1. vspecV how much would i need to shell out for a 2000 r34 vspec (stocK with average miles)? please pm me at f1vtec@hotmail.com if conversing here is inconvinient. Thanks
  2. Given the discrepencies between various dynos and the number of variables that are subject to change (i.e, Dyno load, Rwd/4wd, Wheel size, gearing, different dynos etc) wouldnt it be more accurate to compare the dyno readings of your "modified" car to the output of a baseline standard car? Thats prob the only way to guage how much more you're actually making, rather than comparing with someone esle on the other side of the country using a different dyno.
  3. Bee R make a rev limiter and launch controller that you can install in cabin. It basically allows you to set your desired rev limit. Unlike factory rev limiters which cut fuel, this one cuts ignition, so fuel still goes through. When they hit the hot turbo they ignite and u can get your flames comming out of the exhaust like the movie. However it will drastically shorten the lifespan of your turbo.
  4. They are of the correct pcd- 5 x 114.3 The offset is 32mm, so the fit might not be perfect. But they defintely fit
  5. Man.... You're 19 and you're already on your way to owning a home. U gotta have all my envy man... take it all....
  6. Dude, I downloaded it from the net using Kazaa. (File sharing program: www.kazaa.com) Its quite large (100mb) so i hope you're using cable. Search for video files under the name of getaway in stockholm 2. Theres also getaway in stockholm 1 where they used a 911, but its nowhere as awesome as number 2. Do it asap man, i dont know what bov the cossie used, but it sounded like a million dollars. Apparently theres also number 3 but i havent seen that. All the best!
  7. I think you guys should try downloading Getaway in Stockholm 2 from any of the shareware available (Kazzarr etc) It features a Supra and Escort Cosworth gunning it around town. The cooler part abt this (compared to the 350z ad) is that its actually done on public roads and its not staged. There one part where they run from the coppers and u can actually hear the cops sirens fading away as they power off. The last part the Supra hits 320kmh. From what i read the cops were out looking for the 2 drivers after the video was released. Rates 11/10...imho at least
  8. From what i am told (i may be wrong here): yes they are a premium gtr dealer. They have a uk branch which is where they export most of their cars to i think, but i dont have the uk website. I was looking ard at the R34 GTRs, not cheap but there are some that come in the 3.5 million yen mark, which is close to the base bidding price at Japanese auctions.... I guess it wont be worth considering if you're just considering a regular gtr, but if you're looking for something that is hard to find at auctions (400R, 4dr gtr, N1 Nur Specs Etc) This might be it.
  9. Are there are mechanical differences as well? Care to elaborate?

  11. Guys, Anyone considering importing their own car from japan should haf a look. http://www.zele-international.com/ Needs a translator cos its in japanese Its basically a specialized gtr dealer. They have everything from N1 GTRS to Autech 4 doors. I have yet to see or hear of one in Australia, but this is close to the rarest gtrs around.
  12. Dude U need to trade your car in for a 4 door Autech R33 GTR Then u can bring all your good gear over to the next car. One solution to solve all your problems.
  13. The most i've heard from road going n/a vtecs are abt 250-270 bhp, 2 liter block, 11000rpm redline...etc But even if this is slightly optimistic, i would still think it'll have little chance against a vette.... It all depends...cos if you work hard at paring weight down, EG civics can be as light as 800 plus kilos, it might have a good chance down the straights then.... Dont forget as well i think the fastest all motor hondas in America run low 11s Of cos if u introduce forced induction, then its a whole new ball game as well....
  14. Strictly speaking in the straights, a type r would have no chance against the skylines. Put it down a tight windy road and its a totally different story. My money would be on the Honda.
  15. Mario, Would you mind postin the video up on your webpage for those who cant catch it on tv?
  16. If we make the claim through our insurer and let them chase the counter party or his insurer for the claimed amount, will they take it against us for modifications not noted on our policy?
  17. I would think torque is maximised from the following variables (please correct me if im wrong) 1. Displacement (like you mentioned 2.6-3.0l) 2. Good high compression 3. Correctly sized turbo with smallish compressor a/r 4. What you've just mentioned as well. 5. Anything esle? I think the most important factor here is getting everything to be correctly matched in terms of airflow. Regardless, its still amazing how the wrc cars can make 500nm plus from just 2 liters
  18. IMHO all dealers are dodgy. Best thing to do is to look at the car, decide on how much you're willing to pay for it (regardless of sticker price, and of cos u need to have a good idea of what they're worth) and make an offer to the dealer. If they dont like your offer, just leave them your number and ask them to call u if they change their mind. Buyers always have the upper hand (unless u're really looking for something rare n specific) You dont lose by missing out on a good car, but you'll be real screwed if u end up with a dud car. Hope this helps! 2 cents worth!
  19. I always wondered if the insurance party of the other person who hit you is liable to compensate you for damaged aftermarket items not noted on your insurance policy. After all, even if the claim did go through your insurer, isnt the final claim on the counter party's insurance? (They should compensate you for anything then) Perhaps someone with more experience with the insurance industry can shed more light on this?
  20. Have u been driftin? Ur tyres are bald as hell!
  21. Thanks guys, that article pretty much answers all my questions
  22. Cant find the thread, can u gimme more clues? (name of topic etc) I gather what u mean on the series 1 & 2s, its prob just the later model skylines with the updated lights etc, and not any difference in technical specifications.
  23. I've been doing some homework on the internet regarding the V spec, and some quoted the v spec to have harder and lower (10mm) suspension. Can anyone with a vspec verify this? (rofocale perhaps?) I've test driven a non vspec before, but have yet to score a ride in a vspec. P.S: whats the diff between a vspec and a v spec II then? Many thanks for the input guys really appreciate it!
  24. Just wonderin, will the lock kit work on gtrs?
