Word is for japanese cars, bride rails perform best in terms of design and quality. The problem with recaro rails is that the seats often end up too high.

Garrett Gt30 600hp Turbo Fs
usuckpoo replied to Shaun's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
sorrie its a long time but is this still available? -
Yes check the hub diameter as they r vehicle specific Most pple are on the impression that as long as the pcd meets your vehicle's specifications, the wheels should fit no problem
-
Can someone delete this thread then....i've just wasted 5 mins reading it
-
I reckon most pple will agree that they are more a Grand Tourer than an outright sportscar, in this sense the skyline is prob closer to being a sportscar. Actually i do think their weights are rather similar esp when comparing a gtr to a supra rz? how porky is a supra anyway?

engine number diddley doo's :)
usuckpoo replied to coco69's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Ermm theres a chance the numbers on the block could have been fudged... I do know its possible to do so but i cant think of a good reason why they would do it on your car. ( In some countries they fudge numbers on the engines in the event of an engine swap where modifications on your car is illegal.) -
dont think there was ever an is400 if im not wrong the IS series only ever came with 1g fe (2 litre 6 cylinder 150bhp) 3s ge (2 litre 4 cylinder 210bhp) 2jz ge (3 litre 6 cylinder which makes the IS300) TTE does make supercharger kits for the 1g fe but it costs abt 7k brand new for the kit for a 30bhp increase...not worth it imho. If u r chasing power in an IS the best route is to go for an engine conversion to a 1jz gte or 2jz gte as ray hall did....

Rezz: i take it that what they are trying to achive is the look that the spokes are angled outwards rather than straight up vertical....would this look be achieve even with cars that dont require alot of offset? How much are they anyway for 18s?

R32 2 Door Sedan!! what ya think??
usuckpoo replied to BenA31's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
U would render the rear seats useless as it will be next to impossible to get into the rear even with folding seats due to the short doors. Thats why coupes always have longer doors than sedans -
Broken passenger aircon vent on r32?
usuckpoo replied to usuckpoo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Alrite let me muster up my contacts and see how much cheaper we can get our hands on it in a bulk buy...cant stand the look of the broken vent! I tried glueing it back together but that renders the vent unadjustable -
Hi guys this has prob been posted before, but just wondering how many of you actually face this problem? I noticed local importers are asking abt $90 for a replacement. Is there any way to get one cheaper? I was considering a group buy since this seems to be a common problem for r32s, would there be substantial interest?
-
Im pretty sure a body shop can do the necessary mods but its not going to be cheap given the hours they need to put into it.
-
this may sound dumb but why to the theives like to smash the rear quarters? (Ive been hit before) esp when the rear quarters usually cost more than the fronts (on my ex honda at least)

R32 GTr / Bathurst - Gibson cams
usuckpoo replied to exXU1's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)

These Tankers take like 5 kms to come to a full halt from cruise speed Not that easy to steer imho...and not to mention the supertanker is not 100m long..its almost 500m.

Ecu Ecu Ecu Which One !!!!! ????????
usuckpoo replied to exXU1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
U can buy a kit from Apexi that enables the newer pfcs to run map sensor operation thus negating the need for the AFMs (if u want to run it that way) -

rb30 bottom end for r32 gtr
usuckpoo replied to KNG-32R's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
U might want to check out if the gearbox bellhousing matches the rb30 block and whether the rb26 sump fits as well.... Im not sure abt the specific details but there has to be a reason why we've only seen rb30ed rwd skylines....and the existence of the very expensive os giken stroker kit (with block spacer) to achieve the 3 liters in awd skylines -
R32 GTR clear front indicators
usuckpoo replied to ecenshu's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
few hundred bucks for a pair of indicators is abit ridiculous... personally i'd try looking at wreckers, these might pop up on a 1/2 cut somewhere..... -
clutch burns - how to avoid them?
usuckpoo replied to harumomo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
god help if u r doing this on a skyline hehe -
The big point in this as a first car u r going to learn alot from it...from experimenting, from experience, from 10 of your fellow mates trying to squezze into what is perceptibly a cool car... etc...etc and some of it inevitably is going to result in the likelyhood of damage somewhat. You may well be able to afford what it costs to own and run a skyline, its just that its going to be a rather expensive test mule. To say that you respect the car because its expensive and hence wont do stupid things is as almost akin to saying that we try not to make mistakes in our adolescent lives....but as young dudes our mind can only see so far, and we cannot make decisions on choices we dont understand...or foresee (ala matrix?) . of cos we still do make mistakes throughout our lives, its just that we make less, cos we try not to repeat past mistakes...esp the stupid ones. Have you done stupid things in ur life so far? Hell yeah i sure did.

clutch burns - how to avoid them?
usuckpoo replied to harumomo's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
errmm i think the only solution is....pratice? with pratice you'd eventually learn to "feel" the clutch exactly when its starting to bite when u use 3000rpm to move off on level ground....you noe u need more practice. -
dude imho dont worry about the skyline atm get a cheap car, or whatever is thrown at you with your parents and go out to the track and have a ball of a time, you'd learn heaps more about what u like then and what kind of driving suits you the most. meanwhile just keep saving up, it always pays to save. I made the mistake of buying a nice expensive first car when i didnt noe much about cars when i first got my license as well. At 16, we may all think we know heaps about cars...from mates..mags videos etc...but noting beats driving experience. Dont worry dude, your time will come
