Hey Guys, Selling our 370GT sedan, as my wife wants something smaller and manual, and I barely drive it. Its a 2010 type S (sports) model, being a 2010, that means the 7 speed auto, (with paddle shift). VQ37VHR. Basically the same engine/gearbox as an auto 370Z. I carried out a JOC before I purchased, and it is a 4.5 grade import, imported early 2017, and first aus rego was march 17. Can supply VIN if you'd like to check for yourself. 96xxxkm currently. It has the option front lip and rear spoiler, and is stock except for a Nismo cat back, and Nismo shock/spring combo. Infinity G37 Grill and rear badges has been installed, this was carried out in japan, as the pics in the JOC report show the badges fitted The car came with full japanese log books, the Nismo "certificates/documents" are still there also, as well as documentation for the front lip, etc. Small details, but I found the log books/nismo certs cool to look through, even though I can't read them One small scrape on front lip, (10mmx5mm), right rear tail light has a small barely noticeable chip, interior has a couple of small marks, barely noticable. Rego till August Its a great car to drive, handles well, and is quite quick, but as above, the miso prefers manual and something a bit smaller. I can take pics of log books, or any other areas, just PM me. Located in Nowra/Wollongong. Price: 20k negotiable.

Hey guys. Thought I'd pop up a thread for my 33 sedan. Had a few cefiro's in the past (build thread in cefiro section), basically street driven drift cars. We bought this to use as a daily. It was pretty much dead stock, turbo auto, apart from a dump pipe and 3 inch cat. Daily'd it for 3 years trouble free. Was getting a bit tired of the cefiro (maybe getting old? haha), no air con, wheels too big, too loud, etc. That and the lack of drift days in NSW, led me to sell. So sold that with the intention of getting a R34 sedan. Drove a couple and realised they were not that much better than the 33 I already had, and in worse condition to boot. So, enter the R33 build (its really just buying bolt on parts, why I love nissans, haha) Plan is a nice streeter, with occasional track (grip/drift) work. Air con, and comfort being reasonably important, (showing my age!) What I started with First mods were fitting my nardi. Used a works bell boss kit, good bit of gear. Drivers seat was fairly flogged out, so replaced it with a S15 seat, with the rails modded to sit lower, and pick up the 4th bolt hole. Had S15 seats in the cefiro, and find the driving position suits me well, being a bit on the bigger side. Still chasing a passenger seat to match. Picked up a fujisubo cat back. I wanted this car to be quieter than the cefiro, and have a proper rear muffler (no cannon) I had to fit a silencer (bunch of rags+ tape) to leave the house without waking the entire street up in the cef. Was dumb. Exhaust was from a coupe I assume, so had to lengthen it 90mm, and tweak the angle of the pipe to get it to tuck a bit better. Turned out ok, and had the look I was after It looks angled down in the photo, but I assure it sits level Bought some coil overs, BC racing. I had these in the cefiro, did 90k on them (on some shit roads of NSW south coast) and never had a problem. Fitted them along with some rear camber arms. Also fitted my cusco 2 way center to the stock 4.3 diff, retaining ABS, No pics of the install of these, but fairly straight forward. Went with R34 gtr wheels. I wanted wheels inside the guards, and able to run a decent size tire. Currently have a 265/35/18 all round, and they basically don't scrub, when these tires are done, might drop to a 255, or 245 front Few other cosmetic changes, rear wing delete (would love a impul wing) and probably the thing I'd wanted to do the most, fit coupe headlights. These were not a straight fit, had to trim the rad support, and wiring had to be modified to suit the twin globe. But, love the way it changes the look. So things still to do: Fine tune heights/wheel alignment Carry out manual conversion. Have all the parts needed, picked up a box that needed a second gear syncro, so will do that before it goes in. Hopefully get the conversion done over my christmas break. Cosmetically will get the front bar repaired/painted, and would like to pick up some factory side skirts, although they seem to be pretty rare. Overall, so far, very happy how the car drives, lightyears ahead of my old cefiro chassis wise. Once its manual I'll work out what the plan power wise will be, (probably a hypergear bolton turbo, +associated mods) Cheers

Hey mate, just some info for your front end swap. I have a series 2 sedan, and installed series 2 coupe headlights, and they needed a bit of work. As above, the wiring was different, (but not hard to work out) and I had to trim the radiator support for clearance for the back of the lights. But they transform the car, so well worth the hassel

They look so good in black. My wife wants one to replace her 300zx, she has a thing for v6tt's!

Glad its sorted. I like reading threads where the problem is fixed. Also, I had to do the heater core in my R33. Two ways you can do it, 1) Degas air con, and pull the glovebox out, take the aircon parts and heater box out, Or 2) Pull entire dash out, and this will give you space to just remove the heater core without taking any air con parts out. I chose 2) because my aircon was icy cold, and didn't want to stuff around with degassing/gassing, and I had plenty of time.

Hey guys, as stated, after a manual conversion for a R33, Don't need clutch or flywheel, but need: Gearbox, clutch and brake pedals, master and slave cyl and lines, front half of tailshaft, interior rubber boots, manual center consol. Prefer Wollongong/syd area, and would be good if its still in the car running, Cheers Glen

Cheers for the reply, yeah, that's what I'm thinking, it is more of a side step. Well, looks like our 33 will be getting the manual conversion and other drifty bits

Hey guys, After some input. Basically I've just sold my cefiro I'd built over the last 6 years. Built as a street car that I could take drifting. RB20, 240rwkw, laggy. No air con, loud, etc etc. Maybe my age is catching up with me, haha, but didn't really enjoy it much lately, hence the sale. I'd planned to replace it with a R34 sedan, keep the aircon, and just do the basics, (coil overs, diff, basic engine power mods for around 200rwkw). My "daily" at the current time is a 97 series 2 R33 sedan, turbo auto. Never really that into it, bought it off a mate when we needed a new run around, basically stock. Goes ok, but on the standard struts (with lowering springs) was never that inspiring to drive. Popped that up for sale, and started looking for a R34. Test drove one, and this is where I started getting confused. I think I may have had it in my head that R34 would be noticeably better than our 33, well, the one I drove was not! Ha. Interior was a bit nicer, but no more room (less in the rear seats) than the 33. Chassis wise it felt very similar, and even power was no noticeable difference. TBH I think the r34 I drove wasn't running very well, our 33 feels quicker. This was turbo auto too (budget doesn't stretch to a factory manual, planing to convert an auto). Anyway, starting to think I might be better keeping the 33 sedan and modding that, as opposed to buying an R34. Has anyone else made the switch from a R33 to a R34? Did you notice a sizeable difference between the two?

I don't have much info either, but a mate (a few years ago now) bought a v35 with a shagged cvt gearbox and successfully installed a 5 speed auto out of a 350z. But it wasnt without drama. He is an electrical engineer, and had a decent auto electrician helping out. Alot of effort, but ended up with a pretty good car for the money/time invested.

Thoughts on drifting daily car?
CEF33Y replied to Sky_lin3's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
It will be tough while your learning. But in saying that 2 out of my 3 drift cars have been registered, driven to and from the track, and the first one was my only car. I learnt to start small, too many people try too hard too quick and crash. As above, don't do anything more than an exhaust and front mount etc power wise, even leave boost stock. Car has to be in reasonable condition to start with, if you've bought something that's clapped out to start with it will give you problems Get a good aftermarket temp gauge. Don't go crazy with clutch choice (nothing too aggresive), take it easy clutch kicking and you'll have half a chance of driving it home. Driving style will play a big part, its possible to drift without abusing the living crap out of your car. Again, this will be hard to do if your learning. I did the 1300km (one way!) trip to QLD raceway, drifted for two days, then drove it home. My current car is pretty basic, RB20 powered (bolt on turbo, supporting mods, good tune @Unigroup Engineering), RB25 gearbox, jim berry clutch, cusco 2 way. Adjustable caster rods and camber arms, basic coil overs and thats about it. -
Your LM is pretty awesome. Interesting with the M5. We are currently looking to replace the daily (around $30k budget), with a focus on safety and efficiency, We have found the Mercedes A class Is looking pretty good, (2014-2015) but I'm shit scared of anything euro, as all I've ever done is Nissan. Also made the mistake of test driving the AMG A45. Haha First DSG I'd ever driven, wow, was impressed. Exhaust note in race mode bordered on offensive, in a good way. Would need to sell all the toys to get into one though.

Cheers. Those pics are a while ago, ~10yrs ago, still, were fairly neat in the day. No plans to sell the current cefiro, its actually the longest I've ever owned a car, almost 6 years. Always said I'd only sell to get into a R32 gtr, once I got over the drift bug, but that never really happened, and I well and truly missed the ( sub $20k) R32 GTR boat, lol.

I regret selling my first Cefiro (and second!) First one was a stock sports cruising (better trim, sunroof, pretty much top spec for year) factory manual. Being my first import, and pretty young I did the usual drift mods, but looking back, it was so neat i should have left it alone... haha. Sold it to fund a comp drift car (s14, which was good when it was running, which wasn't very often) Second car I regret was another cefiro, this time a series two (sought after lights, grill, front bumper, better consol few other cool options) this one again was stock but had been converted from auto with a RB25 Gbox. Ended up selling that to fund a motor rebuild of the S14 drift car, when it blew up again! Dumb move. I'm back in a cefiro now, but couldn't find one anywhere as neat (or standard) as the first two i had
