haha my car is low because i like it low. when i get some 225's for the rear and 205's for the front, it will go lower. Needs some spacers all around too.

got them off a ex "Garage Phoenix" drag car 4 door 32 that came through my old work. the boss was putting a full kit on it so he gave me the sides and rear pods... im assuming they are the same as coupe ones? the R32 turbo is all i had, as the car came with a 20 in it and i put the 25 in.

lol i cant imagine me using a missile switch every time my engine revs abover 3500!!! thanks anyway

Hey guys, any smarty pants know of a good way to control your NVCS without using the factory RPM switch in the ECU? Problem is: im using a RB20 ecu and it doesnt have a RPM switch. Hook me up please!

i make reference to the the 86 being extremely rewarding to drive which consequently encourages enthusiasts to spend a lot of money on them. Contrasting the fact that they are effectually, a 23 year old corolla. Corollas have been raced, rallied and drifted for decades now, competing in a one make series in Japan, in Improved Production Class in Australia and there are two AE86's competing in the Drift Australia series, a CAMS sanctioned national level drifting series held here in Australia. Quite incorrect again im sorry. The AE86 was released in Australia as a Toyota Sprinter whereas in Japan, the 2 door "notchback" variants were badged as either Corolla Levin or Corolla Trueno. The 3 door "hatch" AE86 was badged a Sprinter Levin or Sprinter trueno based on the variations of front end. Furthermore in the US domestic market all AE86's were badged Corollas. Never sprinters. Now your claim that "most corollas come in front wheel drive" is also incorrect. In 1966 the KE10 was released with a Rear Wheel Drive K motor. The RWD corollas continued through to 1986 with the final rwd model being the AE71 (and ae86). In fact the Corolla never actually came Front wheel drive until 1986 with the release of the AE82. im sorry to sound rude but it doesnt appear as if you have actually driven any corollas and therefore you are biased. you are quite correct though, as your name suggests that you own a M3GTR and therefore any AE86, no matter how modified, would pale in comparison. you do own a M3 GTR dont you?

AE86s inspire AE86 enthusiasts to spend irrational amounts of money on what are effectively, 23 year old corolla's. When driven at the limit however, they are incredibly rewarding cars, considerably moreso than any turbo nissan i've ever driven. If the chap wants to spend the cash on an 86, then best of luck to him. Perhaps he enjoys the driving moreso than the image.

hey simon i lost your ph number i went to my wrecker friend here and he wasnt as good a friend as i thought, 900 for the motor, he has 2 of them.... and unfortunately they are both 4wd models with front diffs.

just a note all the toyota G heads were designed by yamaha (including the 2JZGTE), even up to the 4th Gen 3SGE Beams engine. F heads were designed by toyota

its funny coming from an AE86 background to listen to this talk of revs! doesnt matter how big your cams are, how high your compression is or how many throttles or carby's you stick on it: RB30's wont rev high because of their bore/stroke ratio. you wanna build a tough, hot sounding NA screamer inline six? Slap an RB20 crank in an RB25 Destroke it to 2.4 and use a twin cam head capable of the revs you want. (or just use a turbo engine you pansies)
-
its doable with the right tools and carbys. you'd need to trick the ecu into thinking all the fuel inputs were functioning correctly, eg AFM, TPS, Air Temp sensor etc. you'd be better off running a microleb or EMS or something
-
i called up just a week ago and they quoted me 990 for my RB20 ecu
-
just do it cheap and nasty unbolt the turbo and manifold bolt up a set of stock headers then get a NA crossover pipe and clamp your AFM to that. low compression NA love.

Just Put A Turbo On My Na Got Some Problems
andylaurel replied to unarmed_skyline's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
surely that would be the NVCS kicking in? when does it normally kick in? -
nah my skyline was turbo then i put an NA motor in, with a turbo.
