  1. thats lean 13:1 is rudely lean
  2. its the ghost of the RB20 trying to escape... you will find very shortly that the ghost will possess a rod very shortly and use it to escape through either the sump, or the side of the block.
  3. is the NVCS solenoid negatively earthed? or do i have to run 12v to it to activate the "big cam"?

  5. RB20 Fact #92746: If you look at the bottom of a RB20 it says "Best before 02/04/92"
  6. drain the oil change the filter (lubricate the o ring) pour in oil until the dipstick reads full, then run the motor for 30 seconds stop motor and recheck oil you will find that the level has dropped as the oil has been pumped into the head and hasnt drained back out yet... add oil until the dip stick is full
  7. RB20's are actually just a byproduct of the oil refining process... they literally scrape the blocks off the top of the refined petroleum
  8. hahaha i saw a lancer the other day with Volk TE37 rip offs it had the logos on the spokes as usual, but instead of saying Volk Racing and Rays Engineering, it said: VORK Racing and RAVS Engineering
  9. remove the front guards, this will expose the door hinge bolts. From there, you have to use a small hammer to tap out the small pin from the "thing that holds your door open" (youll understand when you look at it) once you have tapped the pin out (dont lose it either) you can pull off your kick panel trim down by your pedals, and unplug the doors, usually there is 2 plugs but sometimes 3. unplug them and then pull the door loom back out through the hole in the lower A pillar. once you have freed the wiring and removed the "thing that holds your door open" so long as you have access to your door hinge bolts, you can start to undo them... I suggest you get two tires (not on rims) and lay them next to the car under where you will initially place the door. so you do not damage the door when it comes off (as they are quite heavy) Undo the four 14 mm bolts (2 in each hinge) and have a friend help you place the door onto the tyres you have laid down... bolt the 4 bolts back into the A pillar so you dont lose them...
  10. i was going to say, get a limited soarer or a celcior and just cruise around... in style, but you cant, because you cant own a V8... man its a pain in the ass to live in australia these days...
  11. of couse they use a seal its a rubber seal that sits in the grooved section of the rocker cover for best results, use in combination with permatex number 1 and you will have no leaks... also check how tight the screws are continually, as they work themselves free from vibration
  12. if you put in another RB20 im gonna the sphincter of the universe slap you. RB20s are as useful as CA18s I heard that RB20s were originally designed by nissan as an effective means of stopping their container ships floating away...
  13. notice that the RB25DE has RB20 rocker covers interesting...
  14. hey matey im doing exactly the same conversion... right now actually. i've got my 25DE sump at the engineers getting the 20DET oil drain welded into it. Other than that, im gonna rock the 10:1 CR and the 260 cc injectors with the stock RB20 ECU, stock turbo and manifold and im gonna use a 1980's apex AFC to richen things up a bit. by they way, im gonna be running natural boost and aiming for around 160 kw at the wheels
  15. personally i think it would be the CAS
  16. 19s are too big for a 32 it'll look like a rollerskate get 18 X 10s
  17. I hope MS comes through this year. It would be an amazing end to an amazing career.
  18. NVH stands for "Noise Vibration Harshness" basically changing the pinion angle of the diff allows you to transfer the power to the road better, or worse. It is similar to the concept of a live axle 4 link rear end, where one might point the pinion up to slippery up the rear end, or vica versa. because of the design of the multilink IRS rear end, you have to change the entire angle of the crade to change the pinion angle... actually disregard all this information, the pinion angle in a multilink wont change with squat cos its sprung weight.
  19. yeah i was gonna say... twin plate clutch brother... interesting about the ATF though... we use a splash of ATF in our MF5's to get the syncros spinning
  20. please make sure you get wheels WIDER than standard im sick of seeing wogs driving GTR's with 19 X 7 inch rims with +50 offset. NO TASTE IN WHEELS
