  1. Mechanic here at the shop said he used it in his vette that had heating issues. Now it runs 10* cooler and doesn't boil over anymore. How does this stuff work?
  2. I have to set my boost tomorrow, what would the stock psi be for an R32 RB26 then?
  3. Could you expound upon that. I would like to block mine off as I dont' have much room left in the engine bay for one, and don't really feel like going through the hassel of reinstalling and locating one. Can I just block off both lines? Or does one need to breath? I could use a mini filter instead of blocking it off. Is that necessary?
  4. If we're gonna guess, we have to have exact Liters.
  5. I think Nissan is allowing rumors to abound as to keep their competitors guessing. The other Jap companies were clamoring all over themselves to get the specs on the Z32 and Z33 when they came out. Proof positive: http://www.kzoorice.com/forums/index.php?s...eclipse+skyline How lame is this blatant copy of the GTR Proto's front end!!
  6. Since nobody's mentioned it, don't forget to check the clutch fluid resevoir.
  7. As you guys were saying, porting isn't really necessary or needed at mild modding. But, wouldn't polishing the combustion chamber be a nice measure to help control Knock if and when he plans on upping the boost? I bet that would be rather inexpensive to just polish without porting.
  8. If you live in Australia I don't think that you would pass the (whatever the hell you guys call that test) But if anyone knows the ramifications of this; I would be greatly interested as well since I do not have mine hooked up.
  9. Damn are you lucky that was on the intake side! I have heard of end tanks being replaced. I live in a small town and there's a shop locally that can do it. (no help to you, just an encouragement to look into it) For the same price as a cheapo intercooler, it might be worth it to get the stock one repaired. Someone with real experience in this could correct me, but I imagine that the stock one flows better than a cheapo.
  10. Not sure how the fuel door works on a Skyline. On my 240sx I use a lever inside the car to open the fuel door. I have seen on other cars where the lever doesn't return all the way on its own and you have to help it by moving the lever back and forth. Hope this helps.
  11. Right right, Lifters, I don't know what I was thinking. Which reminds me, I have yet to put a load on the engine, so the lifters might not be tight yet. The motor probably sat for at least a year so I'll have to see what happens once I get it out on the road. Yes, it's definately a ticking / tapping sound. The frequency increases with rpms, but doesn't get any louder. Do the stock injectors make some noise themselves, I mean 440 is a pretty good size injector.
  12. Alright now, I'm not sticking up for these body kits, as I don't particularly care for most body kits of any kind. But you gotta know that we can't get ANY skyline, and it's not because they're RHD. There are quite a few RHD cars imported over here. As it stands now, we have no way of importing any skylines since Motorex folded up shop. It costs roughly an additional $18,000 just to get a skyline legal over here. And since Motorex is no more, if you want a Skyline you have to put up DOUBLE it's value in bonds just to get it over here. It's sad really. We Americans are INSANELY Jealous of your ability to import Japanese cars, especially NISSANS. But seriously WTF is a FWD Fckn Honda doing with a 'line kit? Atleast the 240 started it's life as a Nissan. -End Rant
  13. I've got the same sound in my R32 RB26 So do you guys think that it's the tappets or the fuel injectors. I tried listening with the stethoscope thingy and couldn't tell where it was coming from. If it is the tappets and it doesn't get louder do you think that it'll be alright. Is there any sure way to tell. I'm thinking about throwing in some thicker oil to see if it goes away, otherwise how would I tell which it is?
  14. Sorry, there's already a thread on this.
  15. rb26dett that is don't know about the GTS-T's
  16. R32 & R33 are located in the very front of the intake pluenum
  17. Insurance company can go after the perp if tried and convicted.
  18. Thanks anyways, I'll probably end up buying a paperback FSM at an auction eventually as the scanned pages don't have high enough resolution to read the coding for connector pins (i.e. MJ01 MF03)
  19. Thanks A LOT!! REZZ & Funky Monkey, I'm hard up for parts here in the u.s. and I would have checked that guy out!!!
  20. Hey Impakt, I would be very interested in purchasing your product, however I would have to request a few additional items along with the purchase. I have an R32 RB26 in my S13 so: I would need the consult plug and a better wiring diagram. My pdf file diagram is impossible to read and it ended up taking me 2 weeks to wire in the motor through reverse engineering. I know that I can't do that with the consult plug so would you be willing to ship me some clear copies of the necessary wiring diagrams?
  21. dude, you can't not have a BOV or Bypass Valve (which is what the stock one is.) If you cap it off You'll Sh#t your turbo!! If you just leave it disconnected, you'll have one hell of a boost leak. Find a stock one and put it back on, someone on here will have one for you, at a small fee ofcourse. As for running 10psi you'll be alright if you're tuning is up to snuff.
  22. So what's stock psi or kb/cm^2 on the GTR r32 (high-jacking, but kinda applies to subject)
  23. Does the GTR pump push out more psi than the GTS-T? I hooked up the stock GTS-T gauge to my GTR motor and it pegged out above 8 kg/cm^2
  24. Thanks, yeah it's an FC. Rather unfortunate incident for the owner, poor guy. . . It was near mint and he stored it in the winters. (he's 23yrs old) So he pulled it out of storage this spring, started it up and ran out of gas about a mile down the road. Was gone for 15 minutes to get more gas and when he came back the fire department was there putting his car out. The battery cracked and leaked acid onto the harness underneath all winter long, and then wham, catches on fire. Thankfully it went up on the road and not in storage where there were 2 other rare cars. He's going to work on wiring it back up this winter, as you can see, he already replaced the panels. The motor just screams, I should have it rolling in a few days, just have to finish the intake, brakes, alignment, and install driveshaft. All the tracks are closed, so I'll have to find someone with one of those G-Force tec thingies to get a 1/4 mile estimate.
  25. IT RUNS, IT RUNS, IT RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was a break INSIDE the wiring harness (damn importers don't know how to properly pull a loom) I was wiring up the check engine light to run the codes. So I had to move the harness around a lot, plugged in the mafs. Gave it a turn for the hell of it, and it started, and ran. OMG, IT SOUNDS SO GOOOOD!!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!
