  1. still thinking about it... waiting on a few interested parties up here.
  2. Appears the market for GTR's has had the guts fall out of it. As such, i've readjusted the price to suit. $17k firm
  3. Misfire fixed with replacement of splitfire coils, ignitor and CAS. A/C fixed with replacement of magnetic clutch engagement coil. Car also now comes with Fibreglass N1 rear boot wing painted and fitted. Price now at $18k negotiable.
  4. the bulky inlet cam is the major part of the vvt, so you would lose vvt by removing it. If you want it to look like an RB20, then find an rb25de and put all the rb20 dress up gear on it.
  5. ARP head studs or get some brand new head bolts from nissan. 11mm or if you are really going to bogey, get it drilled out to 1/2" head bolts
  6. Yeah i won't be surprised at all! Down the track i'm going to try the single Ford Lightning MAF and see if i can get some great results with it and a single GT40R on the RB26/30 which is in the future build. Also a mate wants me to get familiar with the software to start tuning his drift rb20's, which should be more interesting.
  7. well so far so good, initial problems getting the baord to work but Matt helped us out big time. Thanks mate! I love having the flexibility of everything on the screen. I've only done basic road tuning so far, taking out a lot of the wasted acceleration enrichment (try and pull back as much economy as possible!) Getting wideband bung installed into the exhaust hopefully over the weekend, and then the serious road tuning will begin.
  8. oil catch can, problem solvered
  9. After a road legal set of 2nd handies for cheap. Just needs to have enough tread to see me out for a few months.
  10. oil in the rear turbo inlet would be from the PCV system. For all intents and purposes, quite normal and nothing to worry about, unless it is a huge mess!
  11. uploaded some pictures of my exhaust system for anyone interested. Genuine TRUST.
  12. Great writeup lwells, just used it to replace my coil as well! A couple of notes which you might have to add. When you remove the pressure plate, be sure not to lse the spacing washers which is on the inside of the splined area, these are spacers to allow the pulley to freewheel when not engaged. Without these washers, when you assemble it, it will be constantly engaged. Also, this can be done with the radiator gear in, just requires a bit more paitience.
  13. Had a few PM's but nothing solid so far.
  14. found, thanks all
  15. i'd do a search mate, its been covered a few times. Cliff notes: use the + and - wires on the stock loom for the bosch coils the E is just a general earth and isn't required (although i'd personally earth them somewhere) bosch coils do work, and sometimes don't, will depend on the dwell setup of the ecu your using. May require tweeking. In the end, for the effort, and the mixed success that people had, most ended up going towards a splitfire equivalent for there setups.
  16. Hi All, Just a quick thread to find if anyone in brisbane wants to swap exhausts with me? I have a Trust exhaust system, which has 3 mufflers, and is very quiet, but wish to swap for something which is louder. Just has a normal oval muffler with a 3.5" tip. Nothing too fancy, almost looks stock. Preferably something with only a single cannon muffler? Can supply pictures for anyone interested.
  17. how much you want for it?
  18. still looking... these hot days are killing me!
  19. holy shit, thats bad luck there mate.... options, just get a 2nd hand motor and putt around on it.
  20. found thanks, got a high tensile replacement from local nut & bolt shop.
  21. found both, thanks all
