i've got 255/40/17 non DOT/E on mine. the place where i'm getting an engineer's cert says the rules have changed and that the wheel/tyre size/rating must match the factory tyre placard. when did you get yours complied?

yeah, i'm after anything which has 205/55/R16 or 205/50/R16 tyres. cmon there must be someone out there who has a set! getting desperate... I don't want to have to buy a set of 16" for the sake of compliance!! cheers

To get my new BNR32 complianced I need a set of factory BNR32 wheels with ADR approved tyres sometime over the next 1-2 weeks. Anyone able to help me out?? Willing to pay a deposit/fee if need be... cheers!

I also spoke to Raj about compliance for my BNR32. Very helpful. He faxed me the entire v10 ADR compliance document so I could perform the easy stuff myself and leave the rest to him. Going thru it, i've come across the following: adr 7/00 hydraulic brake hoses - requests for SAE/FMVSS/DOT compliance. My car came with braided stainless steel lines. Will these need to be replaced?? hope not. cheers

nah, i'm stripping off the paint and leaving it as bare aluminium... not gona coat it with anything else. doesnt quite do it for me... i'll keep trying with paint stripper then...

i've tried using some selley's aerosol paint stripper... managed to get rid of most of the paint, but getting rid of the paint on the cooling fins are proving to be a bitch. i've seen a number of cars around perth with blinged up gold/chrome plated front mounts. a place that does this kind of thing should be able to get rid of a bit of paint. wouldnt go as far as getting it gold plated tho.

previous owner has painted the intercooler dark blue, light blue, then silver... that's 3 coats of paint... anyone know where I might be able to get it stripped back to bare aluminium?? called a few radiator places and they havent been able to help. some suggested sandblasting, and others suggested using a high pressure water spray... there must be a better option. cheers, rol

i spoke to nissan parts yesterday and the fella quoted me $99+gst for a passenger side vent. also asked about handbrake/gearshift boots and was told the entire centre console had to be purchased. wtf... steering wheel and front drivers seat backrest?? not on file but he said it would be big $$$ thru nissan.

lol i'm glad i don't need a drivers window then... the dash vents sound reasonable tho. need a passenger side one. also need a steering wheel. will give nissan a call tmoz. cheers.

Hello all, Well i've just taken delivery of a gun metal grey r32 gt-r and I'm looking forward to getting it on the streets... Apart from getting it complianced and licensed, I'm looking to replace some worn interior items (gear knob, steering wheel, drivers seat, air vents). Can anyone point me to a few places in Perth (if any) which stocks r32 gt-r bits n pieces, new or 2nd hand?? There seem to be a few places over east (justjap, unique motorsports etc) but I don't know of any local places... cheers, rol
