  1. if been wanting to do a turbo 350z since they came out! This is exactly what i have. I wish i had a 34gtr instead of a 33gtr as i believe i probably would've done the swap. Anyway, your car is dope bro, good luck with the sale! Ill just keep putting those $$$ away..
  2. Probably need to get computer tune touched up. Maybe because of the new cams and flow rates of your head. Could have put your ignition out of wack. Used to happen to my GTR, got it retuned and now I dont have any problems. But, then again it really could be something to do with getting your head put back on.

  6. I know you said your not ready for production as there is still alot of testing u need to do to get ur design perfect. In the future when you do sell these motors is the design going to be set in concrete or will u be able to change things such as better pistons, different rods. i know its probably not going to be an ideal way of supplying these motors as the testing was done with different parts, but if measurements are the same there shouldnt be any problems. I'm definitively no expert when it comes to putting engines together but im so impressed with what you have achieved so far. I hope you continue your work as you probably already have many people out there wanting to buy one. One more thing, would it be ok to go with 2560 -5s for even better response or would they just be too small. I have them on my 26 now and really like them. But, i just cant get how they would be with a 3 lt plus engine. Dont think many cars besides mabye Lambos(if that!) could keep up with a gtr with your engine in it. Damn its gonna be fast from point to point!!
  7. Have a OS Giken Triple Plate clutch that just came out of my GTR 33. Changed back to a sprung twin plate as the car is my every day vehicle and need an easier take off clutch for traffic.(live just off springvale rd!) Never had any problems with slip at all! Mechanic said the plates still have plenty of life in them(probably done less than 3000kms with clutch) I never launched the car as I was scared of damaging gearbox. The parts for this clutch are readily available from Otomoto. The only thing that i noticed with the clutch was a bit of wear on the fingers were the throw our bearing pushes clutch. (If u wanted to change pressure plate they are new for $395) Personally I never had any trouble with performance of this clutch, just found it a little difficult for everyday driving. They cost around $3500 new, but will be happy with offers around $600. If interested you can call me on 0404 737 906. Haven't got any pics but will send if when u ask.

  9. Like I said at the start, was great for a first effort! Of course things could've been better and from what I've spoken to Rob at Sabbadin about, he too knows that when they do it again or I should say if they do it again, a few things will be different, "better!" Now that the National things been done it's a lot easier to see where improvement can be made..
  10. 9 Dynos running in turn, 2 minutes each dyno run, U do the math!! The whole idea was to watch another dyno run somewhere else in Aus. while each place gets ready 4 next run... but each to his own!
  11. BDD turned out friggin awesome!! Great turn out of all sorts of cars, great stylez to super powerful... Perfect mix, with somethin 4 everyone! Went so smooth for a first time ever, NATIONWIDE DYNO DAY.. Brillant idea and hope u boys do it again cause I had a ball!

  13. Brought a set of Garrett Turbos of someone on the forum. Anyway, i took them to the turbo place before installing them only to find out that they were not ball bearing, nor were they 2860 -5s as I was told. They have turned out to be N1 GTR33 Turbos that have been reconditioned with what mechanic and I measured at 2860 -5 wheels (although if the N1s have very similar sizes, I mean down to .1mm, than the wheels might be original size!) I bought these as i had a single HKS TO4R on the car previously and was changing cause i wanted a more circuit orientated car (more torque down low!) The Turbo guy told me that they are in good condition and have been reconditioned recently. NO SHAFT PLAY! Sideways or back and forward! They have the same wheel sizes as the 2860 -5s but are not ball bearing. I have a dyno sheet from the guy I bought them from showing 312rwk at 18psi. Will throw in standard manifolds, standard dumps, Custom stainless steel Front Pipe (slightly damaged, easy repair!) and what ever standard bits i can throw in! Looking for $1750 as they are in very good condition. If interested leave a message here or at [email protected].

Also have standard manifiolds, dumps and a aftermarket front pipe with slight speed hump damage (dosen't effect flow, or if wanted that section fixed could get my mechanic to weld in a new piece of stainless for about $50 extra) Will do the whole lot for same price as i was gonna sell just the turbos for...so anything i have that i dont need no more will be going! $1750 with The turbos. They have the same wheel sizes as the 2860 -5s but are not ball bearing. I have a dyno sheet from the guy I bought them from showing 312rwk at 18psi. Made 357rwks at 18psi at 11:1 air fuel ratio. Looking at around $3000 nego as its a complete kit you don't have to buy anything else. Trust stainless steel manifold, HKS T04R Turbo, trust type c watsegate, oil lines, return line, custom dump, 4inch turbo inlet pipe with k&n filter, custom turbo outlet pipe(all hpc coated) Can supply picsif interested.
