As SydneyKid has said, if the design is right and the manifold is supported properly with flex pipes then all the manifold has to do is its job!!! (spooling the turbo, not carrying the weight of the whole exhaust system!) Anyway, I use a Trust Tuned length stainless Manifold, To4R Turbo, Greddy Wastegate and have had no problems with cracking, more thab likely due to the fact that the dump pipe was designed with flex pipes in it.

Not sure about 32 - 33 differences, but there are a few when going from 33 -34. First there are slightly different camshafts. Second the 34 uses ball bearing turbos which can run about 1.2 bar fairly easily and also make a good power increase compaired to a similiar setup on a 33.(The 34 I sold was making 1.1 - 1.2 bar with just an exhaust and I think the restricter removed from the boost controller. Don't know too much about the differences but like someone said above there is an article about it!
