  1. They had tram lines all over the city as far back as the 1800's then all got ripped up... only to be rebuilt again. Insanity
  2. Yeap that's the one. Fuzzy memory now, missed a few important details
  3. I used to have a large "GT-R Genuine Service" picture frame that I took home after a cleanup at the Nissan dealer where I was a 1st year apprentice for a short time in 1998. It was a photo of an ADM R32, split in half, one side was a black stock 32 with a mechanic (holding a consult) standing next to it, the other half was the GIO or Winfield car Used to be in my parents garage but missing for a long time and I have no idea where it went. Would have been a great piece of memorabilia for someone's garage
  4. Prices are going up yes, but many cars aren't selling. There's a stock manual R34 gt-t on carsales for 27k... Who in their right mind will pay that??
  5. A bit of humidity in the air and Sydney drivers lose all the feeble skills they had already.
  6. 25GT sedans are worth 6k at best. The other 6k is the p-plater tax. I would pick up a tidy v36 sedan for the same money, if I was after a jap import anyway, but plenty of other options out there
  7. These insurance scams are nothing new. Been happening for decades with all kinds of cars, before any form of social media came along... problem is, it takes a few claims to see a pattern and almost impossible to prevent There was a scam, before the WOVR came along, where people would insure a car, claim it stolen, strip it of pretty much everything then dump the shell. Once the police and insurance company find the shell, they would buy it back, refit all the parts and bingo, free car
  8. Get a panelbeater to cut the piece out and replace it with some fresh steel. Pretty simple repair
  9. Allowing high values is what ruined the scheme, not a SAU thread. Regarding prices, they have jumped too high, too fast. 90% of cars are sitting unsold, only the rare immaculate cars get snapped up fast, everything else just sits there
  10. Check values of the Nismo 400R
  11. you're welcome :-)
  12. The 240k engine bay got cleaned up to look more like 120k?
  13. great looking car mate, would definitely be a unique ride over there
  14. Looks like a troll ad
  15. Don''t forget the vaping part, with modded vaping hardware
  16. Great car, great pics... moar please
  17. You were right, the yoyo is going back up now. Price back to 215 after some new photos.
  18. Will be down to the magical R32 mileage of circa 80k-120k km by the time its resold
  19. this might pop up on sale in a few months: http://www.manheim.com.au/damaged-vehicles/5108005/1999-nissan-skyline-r34-gtr-v-spec-coupé
  20. Have noticed a number of price drops on carsales in the last couple of days. The blue Nur has is down to 199 from 218 and the purple R33 down to 55 from 65 I think? Plus a few 32s down into the 30s and a few 34's under 80 now
  21. inside is pretty cool, but outside...
  22. Oz market for these cars is pretty small, and they only became popular once prices dropped significantly in the mid 2000's With prices going back up it will be a hard sell to most GT-R fans (like myself), so this will only leave the speculators and collectors with deep pockets in the market, and only then top cars may sell while the rest will sit for months, even years without being sold
  23. does the price include the Nismo tax??
