Women, 4WDs and carparks....... a recipe for disaster!
ibuckout2 replied to jlnewton's topic in Queensland
well hows this then, the cops gave me a random the other day, said to put my bull bar back on the truck it came off, told me my car was to low and that i need a permit for everything not standard, oops bye bye piglet, i got to go i'm in a hurry and left with all 178 decibles ringing in his ears, fckin cops!!! and for the whole anti 4x4 thing, they got their place just the same as anything else, we all have to live that little bit easier, comfortable, and secure -
get yaself a girl that knows that you are good with ya hands, and once a week when ya done polishing the car give her a wash and wax too, she'll stop complaining soon enough

i saw some oem's that looked like those, but im unsure if they were exact, and i dont know if they still make them

if you want drift you need to add ballast weight (how much depends on the mods), also you need to shift this to the rear of the car. also good drift comes from shi++y tires, the original turbo and suspension settings from tuned cars are the way to go!! serious drift, but if you really want a versatile car for stuff all get ya hands on the r32 gtr n1, and mods it to the max, use it to win japan championship, on b spec mode is easy money 3 times faster. also if you have trouble with classic car championship, that ac cobra is too fast for anything else, use the same car to dominate
-
from guess it lets certain cars be unlocked at later dates, just collect them, you get more points for entering with a car that has few mods

What is the best engine running temperature?
ibuckout2 replied to 180bfj20det's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
after many years of trouble with this in my commodore w/ worked 253, you need to run water at about 80 hot enough to disperse moisture in the rocker covers, but cool enough to keep performance to a tops, the cooler the temp, the better the performance -
running in my vc commodore w/ worked 253, high torque cam, 4 barrel rochie with oversized jets and high flow air filter, i did 2 dyno tests, 1 with optimax and the other with bp ultimate, both using top end lubrication oil in the tank, which provides no fuel character stats. my car pulled 79 horses on optimax, 112 on ultimate 98, i think that speaks for itself!!!! i also found that i get about 45 k's per tank more with ultimate versus normal unleaded

after having my name and my car questioned in these forums, i did some serious, and expensive checking on the cars history. the car is definitely a series 2 bought in dec 96. the previous lady owner actually spoke a little english (thank f|_|ck), the reason for the different lights and some interior are the fact that she hit a dog at 65 k's, it bent up the front right guard, bonnet, and smashed the light. also the drivers side airbag went off. she had all ready signed the contract for sale to the importer and only had 2 days to get the car fixed. the lights are the original that came with the car (she put some after market blue ones in), the guards are from a series 2, the bonnet is from a series 1.5, and the drivers steer wheel is from a her brothers car, she thinks it was a 95. that came over the same day. no doubt some1 in here has it. (i pity the bloke that does, now that is a chop job, unrepairable front end damage, it should have a similar timed comp plate, car used to be black, w/ a blitz bodykit, and a few mods the motor). also just to provide evidense of the compliance and build dates i have some compliance pics, maybe some of the people in here just dont really know as much as they think they do. and you know if yall wanted to know all you had to do was ask for the pics

yeah well adam, i guess lessons learned eh? you know promises are what makes a bloke, and is his word is how he is always remembered. no hard feelings, just go away with a little more of yourself and i'll be alright, cheers mate, stets

i said it was replaced because i left the lip in my driveway, the original damage was done on a parking curb, which weakened the lower lip

also guys, car was bought by an import dealer who has brought many cars in from japan, not all skyline but quite a few still, he gave the car the once over and gave it the all clear, except for a uni joint which he said cost about $100, and comparing it to both series 1 and 2 in his lot came up with this, "series 2, some series 1 parts, but definitely not a series 1"
-
sorry guys after all this fuss, the car has been sold, yes the car is a series 2 the vin showed 109900+ made, the brake lines and hoses all had corresponding dates too! yes seats and dash are series 2, steer wheel is series 1, what for no 1 knows, no evidence of a serious accident was found when put on a hoist and no evidence of being car alligned either. i agree the grill is different to most series 2's but some1 might have liked this grill better and put it in for whatever reason, and finally, as with most imports that you get from japan, do you really know the whole and entire story of the car you buy? can you honestly believe the k's are real? or even, as with this car, why would some 1 change small things without any evidence of greater things happening, you nor i have the answer, only the previous owner does
-
ok adam, yes it did have a vibration, has had a mechanical inspection, found it to be a worn uni joint, $100 later and smooth as a babies ass, yes the bumper has been replaced, and not painted and yes it is off an earlier model series 1, no arguements there. also after taking it to the mechanic (a specialist), we found out that the car was involved in a very minor front-end accident to the front left and bonnet (in japan), the car was fixed cheaply and series 1 front guards and bonnet where used, so as to match each other. however the car is a series 2 has all the features of a series 2 and is mechanically sound, and we had no problem selling the car to a dealer for a reasonable cash offer, thank you for the $100 deposit that you sacrificed and the dis-respect of not even phoning to let me know that you were backing out of the deal. the $100 deposit you left was enough to fix the vibration and the front bumper was quoted at $250 to respray, i was honest with the reason for sale, my financial situation was explained, and i apologize if you find it so hard to accept that you just couldn't get what you wanted for your commodore, but we got what we wanted for ours and you paid to fix your biggest downpoint on the car which was a small concern in the end. and no my back aint feeling any better, but thanks for asking anyway
-
either, iether, what ever you call it, its a steal at this price
