In the grand scheme of things a couple of decent mufflers won’t drastically reduce your HP by that much anyway. Make the difference up in improving you’re driving skills and play with tires and suspension to suit the track. People have put so much time and effort into getting Lakeside re-opened, something so trivial like a 92db limit wont stop people adhering to it, too just get out there and race again.

Sounds fair to me. I got some fixed pricing on 2jz package’s, as copied below. What’s your pricing like in comparison for an RB26 (obviously will vary depending on brand of part ect). Thanks, - Josh

Got my license back Aug last year, but only back with 3 points.. Work out that corrupt system.. Then they tried to take me too court in Jan this year for "paper work error" as they thought faaark it, we'll see if we can take Josh's 3 points we gave him. Unfortunately not. We discussed me entering it a couple of months before I needed to get my entry in, but as it’s his daily driver and his only means of transport it wasn’t feasible for me, or even him, as either one of us could clip a corner and wreck it. He put it into the Porsche club magazine and half a dozen people have come and viewd it, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s sold soon enough as he wants to go back to two cars, one tow car and a race car. Been looking at clubman’s for him and I’ve been looking at a datsun that was built for track in Vic. But I can only afford one car and the dastun isn’t even close to road legal and hasn’t had rego for 5 or 6 years so not too suitable for me unless everyone wants to donate money for me to get a daily beater as well. It’s been loosely suggested at a racing meet I was at, that some people were going to make things go bump in the night at her house. But this isn’t a thread for that. Can anyone confirm 92db is just for road cars/bikes? And not race cars? And what are they deeming a “race car”: Old mate with no plates or rego stickers on his GTR with side pipes that came on a trailer, or something with log proof to show it’s actually a race car..

Sleeping. Didn't sleep Sat night, was at a girlys house until 4am, then had to leave for a hill climb soon after that, so we were there early enough for scrutineering.

The likes of Garage R tune and other Japanese performance workshops retune the ECU’s for each individual car. It works (to a degree) on your car and will on others, but as it came from a 300kw car with god knows what mods and AFR’s it’ll never be perfect on another car. Individual car specific ECU’s are a pain to re sell, as stated above they are only really suited to the car they came from.

There is a hill climb running this Sunday at Mt cotton. I don't know what club. In terms of cars It's pretty open as Michael entered teh Gtst. You need a CAMS license to run though, so no skids for u.

Mr. Exedy: What clutch came out of it? What are you using the car for during the temporary period? What power is it making? Me: It’s my daily currenty, I pulled an OS twin plate out of it to get it rebuilt, makes about 490rwhp but I’ve been keeping the boost down to around 10psi as the clutch was slipping. Mr. Exedy: Well how much you want to spend? Me: Not much. Mr: Exedy: We have a basic single plate that should hold up for a while that’s around $370 and we can send it over to the workshop today. Me: Sounds good. ------------------------------------------ about 2-3 days later the clutch pulled it's self apart on my way home from a mates house. I had to tow the car home, then tow it to the work shop, pay to have the clutch sent to Exedy to be "looked at". They wouldn’t have a bar of it, wouldn’t give me another one, wouldn’t pay for the tow truck, and just didn’t wont to know about it. They’re phone monkey gave me the wrong advise, I told him how much power the car had and wanted something as a quick fix, not 2-3days quick. Tell me about clutchs for my power, not sell me a friggin $370 clutch "that should hold up". Your business is clutch's, me the client is going to take your word. It wasn’t worth going to small claims court, so I just rubbish them on the intraweb
