I had mine in this location with an alloy box (no base) around it. Pod got a little wet when it rained. In theory one would think it’ll get more cool air, but the road dirt, rain and small rocks tend to damage the pod filter pretty quick

Why not? stock internals are good enough for the power he is making, which is well tried and tested in America with the 1uzfe. I assume, the owner has future plans for the car, hence the t88 now - Thus save on changing it over when a motor is "built" later on. -

T70 is an "ebay" type turbo. Trust/Greddy don't make a "T70". T51 = HKS, unless you mean t517z.

You cant get just the seals. You have to buy the whole sunroof glass, hence $1500. Mine leaked too, local Nissan dealer gave me about the same quote. I sold the car... No one else would even look at it.
