"Im going to build a car that does X, it will be at X events, I will in return offer you X publicity from being at the track X amount of times and enter X events, plus as it will run or do X it will have a write up in X mag with X readers" - "You want your name on it"

People know alot more know now though, parts are cheaper these days and your not paying to be the test pig anymore. So i guess in a way it was a bench mark for back then

Incl the sponsorship money that car owed $100k, Incl car cost. Compromise's were done else where which lead to f**k ups, which lead to that stupid blowout build cost. Never again.

Plus the RnD on cars built somewhat the same, incl RH9 cars made the choice easyier to pick the HKS

I wanted a brand name turbo. Im well aware garrett would have been fine, i just much rather say I have Trust/HKS ect. Some things it doesnt faze me, EG: the pistons werent forged jap items

I don't like no name turbos. I like things that come from a company with lots of RnD. I wanted ball bearing which at that time Trust couldnt offer me

No Mark, He had the motor built for the Silvia (04FAT) WHICH HE still ownes I might add. It was a good idea at the time, as he already has a built SR20 and teh conversion hasnt been done around here. He doesn't like the car that much and wished he just built an rb for the GTT now. 04FAT which now has a pretty basic SR20 is still for sale.

Yeh but last I heard from the McAndrew's, Luke (sr20 R34 owner) had a falling out with Danny or something. He still has the 04FAT green S13 too lol

Sorta... It's got a pfc dejetro now, i had 1000cc injectors which i think he kept, but its now got a fuel cell or something with bigger pumps, last I heard the turbo's where blown up and it was going twin 35/40's or the likes to chase 9's. Pretty sure It now has a PPG box in it too

His daily driver is an E46 M3. He has more money then sense, nice guy. Weird conversion for an R34 though.
