  1. We had tried that, just directed to the HR manager, ended up sending resumes and nothing ever came of it
  2. SAU long weekend at your farm
  3. HAHA, thats a rig! Drive it to the pub
  4. True, i did a bit of a google search for jobs with not too much luck. I keep an eye on seek and just search Aus wide. Any sites off the top of your head worth looking at?
  5. Yeah without a doubt, your much more appealing to an employer, plus you know someone who can vouch for you in person. Damn mining industry crap, bullshit they have a shortage they just don’t hire outside of people already working there.
  6. It’s a total joke, the living expense is one of the highest along side some of the lowest paid jobs. privilege of living is such a total load of shit, as you know it’s dead set boring!
  7. Group buy on operators ticket
  8. Two mates and myself through this idea around, of getting the HR? license to drive the mining trucks and what not, but it kept coming to dead end, even with the right qualifications, it seems like you only get employed if you know someone, or the jobs that are advertised require Xyears experience.
  9. The thing is though, even with the skill shortage, it’s hard even getting just the apprenticeship. A mate of mine has been looking for 3 months for a building/chippy one with no luck at all, and i'm on all the norm job sites every day Should just move to Brisbane and be done with it, Sunshine Coast just sucks too much bum with no options.
  10. So did everyone else.
  11. Oh yeah for sure, after the apprenticeship the money can and normal is huge. With the shortage within the skilled building trade anyone is going to make good money. Just look at what plumber’s and sparkies charge out an hour!! I mean the money during the apprenticeship is crap, like first year is something like $220 gross? Common sense says I live on the Sunshine Coast, should get trade qualified to fall back on, but such a small wage to start with would be a killer.
  12. I surrendered my license to avoid a set time ruled by the courts and the Police. I surrendered it before court, thus court never went ahead as I no longer held a license. In theory I can get the minium suspension time, wether the paper work goes through is another thing as no one ended up going to court. Even though I self surrendered and don’t hold a license, I have gotten out of what would have been a very long suspension/disqualification. The fines are huge for driving without a license, I was caught when I was 18 or 19 in one of dad’s car’s, long story short he sued Queensland transport for my license back, I won, they dropped any fines and I agreed not to sue damage and loss’s which where pretty huge.
  13. Well no, however with no license how I can I go to work, let alone do my job. So technically I’m looking for work closer to home. I can obviously go back to where I was at anytime. I’m pretty much over real estate and developments though, I have been for a long time, but wanted to go back to confirm how much I wanted out of the industry. You can earn big money, but you have no life. I want a fixed salary job that’s 9- 5 Monday to Friday. I’m too old to want to do a trade or something, plus the wage is a joke, and I can't live on something so small
  14. What are they like to tune? Link to pretty pics?
  15. What ecu did you end up going/will be going for?
  16. By naughty if you mean just needs attention, yeh sure we'll go for that option?
  17. Lee, dad had a royal whinge about the hight of my car. It was chunking up the driveway from where it laid frame trying to get up it, and was taking chunks out of the concrete slab going into the garage. Plus, he decided to drive the Porsche up from NSW, so needs LXU55 as a daily until he goes down, meh I have no license I don’t have a huge say in the matter I guess.
  18. Speaking of class clowns, back in one of my History class’s at high school, this poor kid was named Marco, my god it got to the stage were the teacher stopped calling Marco’s name on the roll as some jackass and his mates yelled POLO everytime. It was funny, when your 17. I’m not “dumb/stupid”, I just make poor decisions which lead to situations that could have been avoided.
  19. Don’t confuse my stupidity for high intelect
  20. It’s riding like a monster truck right now, I was made to rase the height
