  1. With the strong winds I noticed shit loads of branches & all kinds of loose shit all over a lot of roads, I'm more worried about the potholes that are going to be popping up all over the place over the next few weeks/months
  2. Erm yeah, cos I'm totally in love with it hey, I love talking it up at every opportunity /sarcasm I was just making the point that even by not blocking my bov off I get the flutter, and that is due to the size of it. On larger turbos with bigger compressor wheels they might have the same effect too, but it sounds a lot different to the flutter on a blocked bov running less boost. All I was doing was suggesting you don't do it, but like I said I don't give a f**k what you do to your car because it's your choice. What the f**k is wrong with you?? Read my replies properly & actually think about it if you really want to attack every one I make to make yourself seem cool. Do that, and you would realise I am talking about completely blocking off the bov, the flutter you get from that, especially when you are running a relatively low boost level. The flutter my car makes isn't all the air going back through, just some of it that isn't really avoidable. In other words purely for the hope you now understand, it's not enough air going back through for me to consider it a dangerous level. Yeah they asked the question so I gave my opinion, of which plenty of people agree with. I agree it is down to personal choice, but I'm only letting people know that it's not really worth it. You do know this is a forum in which peoples opinions are discussed about different topics right? I hardly call that getting worked up
  3. For f**ks sake man.... Yes you can put a piece of aluminium can in between the flange connection if you want, so that the air returns back through the turbo just to create a bit of noise. I can also drive my car off a cliff if I wanted to, but it doesn't make it a good idea. That's my point, I don't give a f**k what you do to your car, but I'd like people to show just a bit of common sense if they are thinking about doing something with a negative impact.
  4. 1 - It is gay. 2 - If it was meant to sound like that, they would. 3 - If anything, like I said it slows the turbo down unnecessarily & could cause damage to it, so why would you want to do that. 4 - It is gay. For the record my car has wicked turbo flutter, but that's due to the size of the damn thing & possibly a crappy bov that will be getting replaced soon once I find a decent replacement. That sort of flutter sounds good, not stock turbo spec flutter that sounds like sin.
  5. And then you can go tu-tu-tu-tu-tu down the street, all while your turbo lag is increased & now your car sounds like shit
  6. As Jamie said more details on the car would help.....but an o2 sensor change might be in order, a lot of cars with that issue get that done & it's resolved pretty easily
  7. wtf
  8. Completely wrong forum dude
  9. It's a 33, that's why. Wait wot? *see above for answer*
  10. Oh and because you say it's quite noticeable on the passenger side it could be the box, but weird if it's only noticeable after an oil change. The clutch bearing sound generally seems to be coming from right under your feet, not on the other side....
  11. You can pick yourself up off the floor if that's possible, mis-spelling one word isn't the end of the world. But thanks for making the effort. It's exactly as I meant, you can hear the bearing when the clutch is engaged (easy to hear at idle), but when you dis-engage it goes away. It's a normal thing with most aftermarket clutches & naturally it seems odd the first time you hear it after you knew what the previous clutch sounded like.
  12. The noise should go away when the clutch is engaged, if so it's pretty normal.
  13. Can you post up a pic of the lettering??
  14. Bunnings run?
  15. That's barely a road trip haha, this is a road trip
  16. They can speed match you, that's probably what happened.
  17. Incorrect....
  18. lol at this thread, pm or message the noobs regarding the cruise at your own risk
  19. What did you lose your license for?? From the DPI:
  20. Wow. Just wow. As far as I know, the member above your post isn't the one that was doing some illegal, then something stupid that resulted in someone's property being damaged. So calling him a dik (sp) & retarded is a bit far fetched. All he said was deal with it, which is what you need to do, unless you want to lose more money from the situation. If I was the guy who's car you crashed into & I was 5 grand out of pocket over it, I'd be pissed off as well. Also, sure it might be a hyundai accent & you're very funny for saying that damaging it is more of a favour, but it's someone elses car & you haven't got a clue what most peoples circumstances are & that might be the best they can do in the situation. The insurance company will fix the car if it's less than what the car is insured at, which is why they are chasing you for the money. Now if you understand all that & actually want to listen rather than abuse people, read this: My mum has a Mistubishi Lancer station wagon (92 I think). She was taking her boyfriend to work one morning & was behind a 4wd. Residential area with roundabouts, doing 50 etc. It was bulk collection time & this person must have seen something that interested them, and all of a sudden this 4wd stopped in the middle of the road. My mum was wondering wtf was going on, when all of a sudden it reversed into my mums car, even with how quickly she was on the horn. Anyway, the spare tire on the back was what caused all the damage. Dented the bonnet, radiator & god knows what else. That car was insured for what I think was $5000. The damaged was around $4800. Insurance wouldn't pay out the policy for an old car with 300k+ km's on it, and it got fixed. So yes, the damage done by this 4wd could be similar to what happened to the accent, a combined 160kg odd will cause damage if it hits something at 50kph. quoted for proof
  21. Original thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...rs-t259587.html Just pay, it's been too long & bringing up the new kid thing to get any sympathy won't exactly help. Otherwise having a kid on the way while you're being sued for money will be a great experience.
  22. They just don't like it being on that side, cameras still do pick it up anyway. Chances are the pits won't care about it being there anyway, even if the cop wrote it down.
  23. Did you get stickered??
  24. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Co...hr-t191756.html Pick one of the mechanical based workshops from there closer to where you live & give them a call to see if they do that sort of thing, but I heard you can get them from places like automasters too so maybe give them a call too
  25. http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/mediafiles/lic_ib...ht_vehicles.pdf It's only just become enforced now. When I got mine done the IM240 test wasn't available to the public at the time, so I was able to submit my test done with a scangas, but I heard they would stop accepting those once it was available.... Looks like you will have to do that test, which sucks as only Kostecki will be able to do it, as unless they have changed Orbital only do it on a commercial basis for fleet cars etc, it's not/wasn't available to the public. The test itself doesn't take long so the $130hr I'd assume would be labour charge in setting it up, getting the car ready etc, so ask them directly just what is involved with that. But however your best bet would be to get scangas style checks done to see how they are coming up, as it will be a lot cheaper if you need to do more do reduce emissions, compliance workshops should be able to help you out with that. Good luck anyway!
