  1. I didn't have a problem with 235/45 & 255/40??
  2. Instead of chasing up some rims to borrow you should just buy new tyres dude, will have to be done regardless especially coming up into the rainy season, rwd turbo + wet roads + lack of tread = fail
  3. Thank god they are out there saving lives.
  4. Tough to find them, especially online. But just a quick sum-up they can sticker any car they think has an "illegal" mod or they "suspect" the car doesn't remain within the vehicle standards rules & regulations. When you go to the pits, whether its for a new rego or a licky, the inspection will be the same. However, the stickers say what they suspect is illegal & it's what they will look at most. In your case now, because the cops were clueless, they haven't given the pits much detail. When you go there, they will have a look at ur sticker paperwork & think oh goody. So what I'm thinking at the moment with yours, if it's mechanically good & not too loud (everything plumbed back, no leaks etc), and have a good attitude & explain the story to them you probably won't have a problem. If you think playing ignorant will help you can try it, but remember they will have the rego history etc on the system, so if they go to check on that & see you have have had the car for years, but you told them you only just bought it & they said it was stock, then expect problems. All I'd advise is make an inspection booking to your nearest centre, do anything you have to with the car & take it there. From what you have said here I can't see you having too much trouble if you are just polite & honest about it all.
  5. Yeah it's only $20...but with the price of pre-mix alcohol going up that like, another 2 drinks he can't have. Won't someone please think of the alcohol?
  6. If you have to ask if your car is a performance car or not, it probably isn't.
  7. What sort of legislation are you trying to find out? What its for, why they have them, etc etc..
  8. Ouch that sucks Just peel the sticker off & put it back on straight. If it's on at an angle or far inside the windscreen its sort of like a code to the pits to go ahead & ream you.... When you take it over have the boost as low as you can go & hope you get a reasonable inspector that won't make you get permits, that leads to bulk fun...
  9. I gave you the link...
  10. Welshpool are generally the easiest. O'Connor are generally the easiest. Midland are generally the easiest. Warwick are generally the easiest. It's pure luck, most of the inspectors end up at different inspection stations on different days. Can't remember if you re-regoed your car & it was inspected not long ago or if you just didn't let the rego run out, but if there isn't much wrong with your car (mechanically or not too loud etc) & it will pass, you should be fine to just make a booking before the expiry date to a place close to you. All except Welshpool & O'Connor you need to book ahead of time now, which is good in a way if you have the time. This was the case a few months ago anyway & I think it will still be the same now, but http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au will tell you pretty much what you need to know. Good luck!

  12. Even if it does turn out to be more than quoted, if it is going to be more it would be good for them to at least let you know it will be. I would have liked to have been told when my car needed a full retune but I wasn't. I didn't really care because I knew something weird was going on with the tune so it was a possibilty, but just would have liked to have known as I could have then got them to do the injectors at the same time. Would have cost more at the time but less in the long run...
  13. Build it & they will come.

  19. If you're only wantinga bit more power & better response, it would be more suitable to just replace the stock turbo directly, not get a hi-mount that will then need exhaust manifold changes (more $$), as well as being more obvious under the bonnet.
