  1. Looking for some advice before I make a few calls in the next couple of days. Been with Just Cars since I got my car stock in May 2005. Started off insured at $18,000, with a premium that was about $2400 from memory. After just a few weeks I had a claim of about 5k after an aquaplaning trip into a kerb That all went smoothly & everything as the cops showed up about 5 minutes after it happened & seen the area blah blah blah. Next renewal, car had gone from nearly stock to gt30r, gate, ecu, full exhaust etc & the excesses were increased but the premium was $2062. Just got my latest one now & they want to drop the agreed value to $16,350, the overall excess is down a couple of hundred but still $2500. Best part is they want the premium as $2281 now. I'm thinking of the most polite way to call up & say "Lick my weld you pricks". This renewal was printed just before I added the engine build too, so they would probably want to bump it up even higher. I'm moving to Queensland in one week (the 26th), the same day my insurance is up. So during this time my car will be in transit, but I'm looking for other quotes. 21, 1 claim, rating 5 (not sure when it will become rating 4) Will be based in Queensland (Coolum or close to, I would like to think safe area? ) 1995 R33 Gts-t fully built except injectors, but no kit (read: pretty much a sleeper, except for front bar decals) Clean driving record Will be garaged, "maybe" not immediately but DEFINATELY will be. At the moment I would prefer a pay by the month thing as well. Shannons is an option but 21 is still probably going to be a bit pricey. I stayed loyal with JCI because the claim was smooth, but I don't really want to stay with them now. Famous were willing to match them but a bit higher with pay by the month, they are my first choice but are Perth-based and I am going to Qld. I've heard good things about Torque, I believe they are based there? If anyone can put me in the right direction with them or other companies that are familiar with this sort of cover it would be quite helpful, cheers.
  2. Will she sell me her clothes? The ones she's wearing when I see her.
  3. I am an anti-ninjite.
  4. Will have to see how I go about getting money of my brother before I leave Perth, but I might be interested in the diff.
  5. My car should have arrived over from Perth by then, don't know if I'm working or not yet this weekend of course but if not I'll come along. Could be a good initiation to SAU Qld
  6. I mean if you crash it because of inexperience, cop trouble (GTR>P-plater>??), stuff breaks & you can't afford to get it fixed, that sort of thing. I wasn't being a smart arse, I was just saying to take what's been said by other people seriously, it's responsibility now. Of course I could save it because I don't really give a shit about the details & I know I could chop you in my gtst anyway But I did mean it because now your into a different side of the driving world & even as a skyline driver respresenting the responsible enthusiasts amongst us.
  7. Of course people will be jealous, because they have worked for their cars & therefore respect them. Having a mum to buy it for him and pay his insurance he hasn't got that initiative, snatch you will probably say you do/will respect it but we'll just see how quickly those points run out. Of course I wish you good luck with it and hope it goes well but like I said in the first thread you made, don't come to us if something gets f**ked up.
  8. This will be my last cruise before leaving Perth, I will be there. Gaz I'll search for you there to see you again before I go
  9. Never heard of them.
  10. Thanks for the replies guys, pretty helpful and I think I'm on the right track to go about it now I will also be based in Coolum by the way, an hour and a half to Brisbane isn't all that bad. ps Where's the nearest Casino? I need my poker fix
  11. Any autoshop should have it, Auto1 etc, that's where I got mine from for my gauge. You pay by the foot. Your real foot. They cut it off and everything.
  12. Hey sau'ers, today I was offered a job on the Sunshine Coast and I accepted it, so in a few weeks time I will be based over there, and of course I will be joining the SAU Qld chapter So I have a few questions to ask first off that might be able to help me out, and some are long-term, so hopefully a few of you can help me out! Queensland rego - How hard is it to obtain? How hard is it to obtain with a very modifed import? Also if I could get some helpful links that would be great Also, what are the police like over there? (keep it clean!) In Perth I have been pulled over twice in a year and a half, and have never had any dramas at all. I've had a couple follow me but they would have ran the plates & seen I've only ever had one fine, are they similar there? Workshops/Tuners - Who is recommended & used by people on here? Are there any suitable ones north of Brisbane? I will be about an hour and a half drive from Brissie so obivously something closer (Noosa region) would be better off. (Long term) Also, what's the cost of petrol there & what is available? Here is only BP Ultimate, I know over east there are 4 to pick from so do Queensland have all 4?? I also enjoy the occasional trip to the skidpan, what's around?? Looking forward to getting there, setting myself up & then joining up as soon as I'm settled, any help with these questions will be appreciated!!
  13. Rebuilds ftw
  14. Rev the car may have already had them on when he bought it... Good mods, once upon a time I thought a list like that would be as far as it was for me, but a ecu & turbo upgrade, then an engine build later I'm starting to wonder if I've changed my mind. I object to your cosmetic mods when they are just for show, but it seems that's just me Good luck!
  15. Yeah I get vans/4wds right behind me at night, I think some flames scare them off a bit to be honest. Had some guy the other night in a VL wagon (f**k, maybe vk, i dont know what they look like) rev his engine at me at the lights. Had a look over & he looks & laughs, cigarette in one hand and he looked absolutely smashed (passenger looked the same but shitting himself, because if I had of raced too he realised his mate was in no real state to drive, let alone drive at speed). Light goes green, he doesn't react & I take off as normal. Considering I'm running in an engine & keeping the revs low, I took off as normal & just got ahead anyway(without wanting to race), and moved into the left lane. A bit up the road he comes next to me, I look over and look back, then he takes off with all 100hp of fury. Even below 4000rpm I probably could have "beaten" him, but this just showed you can take any dickhead, put them in any car & they will still be a dickhead. Wankers like this are lucky I respect my car, otherwise they would be shown just how pissweak they really are.

Watch you don't blow the welds on the intake.
  19. I'd prefer Woodvale but I'll message Tom to get to Tuart Hill.
  20. I don't care what happens with the daylight savings to be honest, the best argument in this thread is the one about 24hr supermarkets & Sunday trading, bring it on!
  21. Looks like injectors is holding it back dude. My car made 347 with a standard rb25.
  22. I had 350rwhp & now it's been rebuilt with forgies, gtr rods etc so it's a bit of both. That said I don't really want a sound system & better rims aren't a necessity for me. All go no show for me (except under teh bonnet)
  23. I bought my car stock & have modded it seriously & I haven't got any plans to sell it ever. Ever.
  24. Wrong state dude?
  25. As Rhianne mentioned apart from the size of her chesticles she hasn't got much else. Tanja though has everything! (except my phone number)
