  1. I got there early for the last one, the dude let me in for nothing, probably because it was just me. It was good because I had to go to work so was only there a few hours so I wanted to see as much as I could But as you said because it was early maybe my decals tricked him
  2. Happy Birthday Liz, hope you had a good day today & have another good one tomorrow! For the record, some of the cakes I can make for birthdays would piss over this one
  3. Amsterdam would be a bit easier to find I reckon, cough cough........... I know of a Tomei kit for sale now for 7k, 87mm pistons, will rev to over 9000rpm and support over 800hp............
  4. Well it's been more than 2 hours, but if I was in your situation I would have contacted your nearest tyrepower or whatever & seen who there supplier was for them, they wouldn't turn down decent coin & tell you to go away.
  5. I hate people that take drugs. Namely, customs.
  6. Was the car only just started for the day? My car does that when it's still cold, I don't thrash it but even revving a bit more than usual it might do it, probably flames too.
  7. 450 a tank with no freeway is awesome for 400hp! Last week I filled up with 415ks done, I drive an hour on the freeway for 5 days with work, so most of the time it's cruising at 100 & not on boost.
  8. Thanks for the answers guys, I should also add that the driving is up & down the freeway 1/2hr each in non-peak hour times so I get a touch over 400ks to a tank. 347.1rwhp was the lowest my car could be tuned to with the gear on it, the turbo is good for 500hp (GT30R), I have a 700hp fuel pump but still have standard injectors so that would be another thing to look at. I would be able to get a set of gtr rods for free as the shop I'm using is building a very tough GTR & he is happy to give them to me. At the moment I am leaning towards the basic rebuild however, just weighing it all up.
  9. Basically, my stock 25 went this week, so I'm doing a rebuild, and have got 2 out of 3 options. 1 was to replace it with another 25 that would be about 3k all up. Not doing that because if the 2nd hand engine hasn't had a good life & decided to pop as well it would screw me. So it's either a full build with forged pistons, rods etc etc, or rebuild my 25 with some rb25 pistons, new gaskets etc etc..... So what I am asking, does anyone on here have a 33 gtst in particular that is used on the street, on a regular basis? I'm just trying to get some idea on the practability of it, get an idea of what it will cost on fuel, blah blah blah.... I just want to see things like what boost you are running at for a low setting, would you advise anyone else to not go that way... I've got 350rwhp now & that is fine, fuel consumption is still rather good but the biggest thing for me is that I drive at least 300ks a week, and that's just to & from work. I am considering getting a bunky for work if I did go the forged build. But yeah if anyone can help a brother out, it would be appreciated
  10. f**kING PETROL PRICES. Let me repeat the million times done argument again. It can take 10 weeks for prices to come down 10 cents per litre. (that's just being general, I can't remember regular ULP being below $1.30 for ages now) It can take 24 HOURS to go UP 10 cents per litre. The fuel companies "blame" this on the price of oil. Now, for a big jump like this, the price of oil has to have jumped very high as well, not only a couple of dollars a barrel as it does. But when the reverse happens and the price goes down, does the price of fuel drop 10 cents? Does it f**k. Yes I just paid $1.51 a litre for Ultimate today, no-one give me the cheaper than bottled water/coke thing either, because I do agree with that but it's annoying that you see you're spending $50 for petrol & you have barely got 30L into your car.....
  11. A mate of mine has one, but it's silver. It also has some pretty serious scratches on it but pretty sure no cracks or anything, I think he does have a membership on here so I'll get him to pm you if you want?
  12. I'm in WA, every time I've filled up it's been 9c more than regular unleaded. No other option than BP

  14. I'm positive I posted just before, was it deleted? : It couldn't have possibly offended anyone and it was on topic, what the.....
  15. Sorry to hear that Nat Guy at work had his mazda 626 (wtf) stolen from there too, f*kn dodgy place the galleria, haven't been there in years & won't be taking my car there anytime soon. One question, how many of those items (if not all) were clearly visible inside the car? Just asking because apart from my a-pillar boost gauge it looks average, the only other things that get attention would be the steering wheel & the not-yet functioning rocket switch that will control the 2 maps (16psi/10psi) once sorted, but even those aren't spectacular....sleeper for the win I just think its f**ked you can park your car in the middle of the day, in a quite public place, for a short amount of time, and still get f**ked over by these losers, while the same cop that would give you a yellow for a pod won't give a f**k if $1000+ worth of stuff is stolen after a break in. VIGILANTE PEOPLE!!
  16. f**k didnt hear about that, what the f**k does an 8 year old girl have to do to get killed? Thats shocking, hope whoever did it gets some bad aids as well.
  17. Do it slowly, and the reason for the plastic knife is so you dont scratch the metal. You just need to break down the glue so whatever does that. What badges are you talking about here as well?
  18. http://www.imports101.com.au/ That's the website, if you are a member click on the user forums, now can anyone tell me how many other import brokers/workshops have a thing like this? Some people are on there until they get their cars & then dissapear, others like myself have been there from the start when I had only just bought my car, and there are a lot of happy people on there that have been through Imports101. As for the forums it's another good place to discuss cars & the occasional random subject with people who mostly know each other, and aren't dickheads. As of any forum a few find their way there, but they are easy to spot
  19. I imported my car through them hassle free (was caught up at the end of the 15yr rule so it was longer than anticipated), and they have also done the work on my car from stock to present. As mentioned it depends on the car for compliance (would guess skyline since your on here) and it maybe will have to be done interstate for something like my mate had with his evo 6 TME. The calculator is extremely accurate, a couple of hundred bucks either way at the most, there are no hidden costs (which is why its accurate). They are very busy but everything is done properly, and I would reccomend them to anyone, a few I already have.
  20. Number plates? Which suburb? Identifying features? That would be a start.
  21. Driver training? Who needs that?? Personally I think its good you want to do it & seems like you are looking forward to it, I haven't done a course like you will do but I have done 2 skidpan days & thoroughly enjoyed them, they both have concepts you can learn from. The rear end slides out & you lose it, so what? It's in a safe environment, too bad the government don't realise these sorts of things will prevent a hell of a lot more accidents than those magical speed cameras that physically stop you from crashing at speed. Sorry to turn it into a rant, I just want the revenue raised from the cameras to be used for these sorts of events for learner & probabtion drivers. Don't worry about the drift because this is for street driving, you will learn a lot about your car if it's what you use, or even the cars with the rollers on them that give you the over/understeer, it will be a good experience to do it.
  22. Sorry to sound like a prick but if you're earning just over $100 a week you shouldn't be driving a skyline!
  23. I have blown 2, one was the driver's side clamp had gradually become looser and the pipe came out, once i got it back in & tightened them they were fine. The 2nd was last week, but this was the one from the turbo that was a real bastard to get back in. Got it back in and since then the car has decided it wants to boost up to 14 or 15psi*, changing the mbc has no effect either so I'm wondering what the hell is going on. My car is at the workshop all day tomorrow for some finsihing off work & heatproofing, and one of the things is the boost control function of the wolf so hopefully everything will sort itself! * While this sounds good, if I held it, maybe it will go higher than that, but my engine is standard & the bulk power from the turbo would make it go "pop". 13psi is in my sig, but I run 12 to make sure everything stays alive.
