  1. I seen this morning that BP Wanneroo was $1.39 a litre, then this afternoon on my way home BP Woodvale was $1.31. Since we are talking about 2km difference that sucks big time. I need to get some tonight then instead because I would have to fill up on my way home from TAFE tomorrow anyway. *sigh* BP = wankers.
  2. Dude you need to chill out because all he has done is offer advice & spoken the truth, and you seem to be unwilling to make an investment on your car....... My mechanical boost gauge & pod cost about $80. If your going to be that stupid & adjust boost without knowing what it is, a new turbo & maybe a rebuild is going to - here's just a hint - cost more than $80-$100. So I would suggest one of 2 things - Don't get the boost controller & keep your car the way it is. Or if you get the boost controller, buy a boost gauge & adjust carefully bit by bit. Start with it wound almost all the way out & adjust as necessary.
  3. I got a rubber strip with my kit to go around where the hole is made, and it makes it look a lot neater than if you just put the pipe through. I would imagine most kits that use this style return pipe come with one.
  4. When my car went through for it's compliance check at Welshpool it went with my locked diff, somehow it passed but I have no idea how!! LOCKER DIFFS FOR LIFE YO!!!
  5. If your really keen do a practice night, first lap get a feel for the track & lines, second lap try & get a bit sideways in the corners, third lap & beyond go harder depending on how your going. Just don't try & make a 120kph sideways entry into cat corner first up...........
  6. Hey Phil, just wondering is this car still going to be your daily???
  7. Yes he was & I think no-one needs to discuss it further. <uses invincible mod powers to lock thread>
  8. I will either be here spectating or out on the lash. Good luck to those that will be out there
  9. Cops are reasonable, multinovas aren't!! As for the license plate thing, I just heard some lady yell something, then I looked up & she was at the top of the stairs watching the people that were leaving. It was as the cars left she wrote down a few numbers & some guy must have been reading them out for her because he was standing next to her. If she took the numbers of cars sitting there she is just an idiot.
  10. Thanks again to Liz and Dan to have another almost incident free cruise, we have a black 32 with an antilag sticker on the back window to thank for bring un-needed & un-warranted attention to everyone at the pub. Heard some strange rattling through some of the roads, I'm glad I don't have to do that very often. just like Gaz said not much can beat a cold one after a drive like that......
  11. Called in sick *coughs* at about 8am with a grey sky & looking crap, but now there is some blue & the sun is out, game on see ya's in a couple of hours.
  12. Water = steam, obviously it won't be as bad because it's not coming out at a few litres a minute, but it could have the same effect. Personally I wouldn't take the risk with all the sensors & wires you can come across.
  13. Cleaning your engine bay needs to be done the long way, by hand.
  14. Yeah I fully understand that Steve . I've got semi-plans for an engine build, but not ready for one so yes I love caution! By semi-plans I mean I will be saving money, I would either use that for the car or I would use it for an overseas adventure with my work, I just can't tell what it's going to be yet.
  15. 410 with stock internals?? FARK!! I thought my 350 was a touch close!
  16. Interesting that includes the last cruise, when about 3 31 drivers overtook a truck uphill over a blind crest at least 100 kph. That's the sort of thing we can do without.
  17. I've heard the rule is that it can't be in a head impact area in the event of a crash, so it needs to be below head/eye level. The thing with this though, you notice those huge screens that are in similar positions in a taxi? They are bigger & go way higher than my boost gauge, so if I got any problems with this I'd be mega pissed!!
  18. For track use hey? lol
  19. Is this the same cruise you ended up in the dirt?
  20. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=114065 Some of you need to post in my thread about permits!
  21. Hope she dosen't read the forums! I prefer to fly solo on cruises, but if I can get someone to navigate it's not really a difference, I just try & keep at least a couple of cars in front if I don't know where I'm going.
  22. Hey all, I was just wondering what the deal is with going to get permits for mods & taking the car through the pits. I've only been pulled over twice & only the first led to a vehicle check, but I would like to save as much hassle as possible down the track. One concern I have though is that when they check it out if there is something they won't pass/permit, what happens then? I haven't got a yellow to get off, but I want to get permits for as much of the things as I can so it shows I am doing the right thing. I have a lot of mods (350rwhp, use your imagination ;p ), and I haven't got a permit for any of them. I want to get permits because if I got a unproffessional cop he could write out a list as long as my arm & if I ended up having to take it back to near stock that would really suck. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? A few things about my car though, the exhaust is turbo back but pretty quiet considering it all, the rims are 17" which are legal, a/m steering wheel but I'm pretty sure it's still legal size & boost gauge on the a pillar but at the bottom so it's below eye level. These aren't too much to worry about & all should go fine & permitted (exhaust excepted unless I get really lucky), but is there much difficulty in things like high mounted turbo's, or any piping or anything like that? I also have an atmospheric bov, but it does take about 8psi to activate (I run 12) & when it does it isn't even really loud. It sounds serious, not ricey . It's welded to the pipe & is pointed into the bay, not facing up. Can you get them passed or not, or can anyone see any trouble for me? Any help is appreciated, cheers, Nathan
  23. Josh were you the one with the go time! sticker on the windscreen?
  24. Nice weather = sickie & I'll be there.
  25. My first car was a magna. It was shit. You say they are dull in stock form, excluding supercars which one's aren't? Most cars will look good when they're lowered & fitted with bigger rims, and any car would go better with a turbo or supercharger!! I mean there are plenty of worse cars out there, I don't mind them I'm just not going to pay any attention to them. I'm thinking they are becoming the new Lancers.
