It depends on the type of & how much driving you do, I still get over 400km's to a tank, the quickest I've ever had to refill is after 320km's.

I see your point & agree, but I personally posted in this thread because when I am driving, it's not the speeding dickheads I'm referring too, it's the fact that 90% of the time someone in a commodore will drive like a tool around me, trying to prove, erm, somehow, he has a better car than me. Not bad, considering it's mostly stock as cars doing it. My car has more than enough power to chop all of them, but I don't need to go out every day & prove it.

Some good news, I organised the day off, I go to work on Tuesday instead so I get to come! Look forward to meeting some people from here too. If anyone from here that's NOR needs a ride let me know, probably want a navigator if it's as long as stated. One other question, SAUWA stickers??!! $5 each aren't they? If possible I'll grab a few, only got 2 skylinesaustralia stickers on my spoiler, need to fly the sauwa flag too.

Only just read this, and that's exactly the comment I would expect from someone like you who posts one hell of a lack of driving ability & knowledge on a public, Australia-wide read forum. Nice work.

Been a member for over a year now & haven't been able to make it to any event or meet anyone (cept Josh), I'll see if there is anything I can do with work tomorrow, but until then it's another one I'll miss. Dammit!!

Dosen't mean you can't go, but you just have to leave when you have to leave.

Warning: Ebay Performance Products

I got mine through the workshop who carries out all of my work. If you aren't going through that, buy company direct if you can. -
Yeah, the green is what's left, the yellow roughly is what is was beforehand. It was the cutting of the actual bumper that was the hard part, mine is a s1 bumper. It is an m-spec, but that was before I aquaplaned into a f**king kerb

If you have a big core intercooler, I would be extremly interested in seeing how it has fit without cutting the reinforcement bar. Look at this time consuming pic I done, that shows where it was & how much is left. Hours this took me.

Fool In R33 In Todays Herald Sun

Danielson hasn't even posted in here yet, how do we know it's definately him? -
Ah, yet another "how do I get away with it" thread. FFS man you shouldn't be driving if you cant tell the difference between 100kph & 141kph. Now you're from NSW, where the road laws are stricter than here, but over here 40 over the limit is an instand impounding of your car & a dangerous driving charge, so why have you only been fined?
-
Apologies to anyone from here that came to this, luckily someone had a map ready to go to leave from omni at 9:30, I did this map with great difficulty but I think the other cruise went alright. There were a heap of skylines there, I didn't see any sauwa stickers or plates I remember from here though. Things can only go up!

That's why it's on pretty early, so you can go out afterwards if you want. Starts in Perth, ends in Freo. I think the legs are Perth-Swan View, Swan View-South Perth, South Perth-Freo. A good mixture of roads & good photo opportunitys. It's not as short as it sounds.

I got the day off for this Rossco, I trust it will be worthwhile Hope all goes good & a cruise you organise you actually make it there

The only "really bad" driving I've seen from a commo was a VK that must have had next to no tread on his tyres, some dude who must have been over 30 & his mate were "trying" to show off to a p-plate chick in a Liberty, driving like a tool so I came up behind him, he takes off & gets to about 100 & starts losing the rear end so he backed off. Then at the lights at ocean reef heading onto the freeway was next to the liberty again, decided to get his tail out towards her, an absolute tool & he nearly hit her car. Freeway = chopped, me & her. Apart from that I haven't seen anything bad, just a few dudes recently who don't realise I've got 350 lurking under the bonnet when they move towards me & away again driving alongside me.......

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
ossie_21 replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It would be capable of a shit load of boost (quite a lot), there is still about a cm I could screw it in & I'm at 12psi. It dosen't take much to change a couple of psi, which is why you need to be careful. Anyone who knows about the boost solenoid would be able to tell you what needs to be done, it takes all of a minute to put in. When it's in have it so it's only just screwed in (tighten the nut), test it to see how much boost its making & slowly go in to your desired level. A boost gauge will help if you plan on changing boost, but to set if right it will need a lot of stopping & starting, so do it where & when you could do it easily, the freeway would be good if it's close to you. -
Look mate, I wasn't trying to be rude. Accents and pronounciation are different in every single country in the world, known fact. An aussie would look like a dickhead speaking with a japanese accent, it is more their accent how they say words. Over here that's why so many people do say it wrong (I'm not saying your wrong, I just don't know what you expect to achieve from this) If they come over here & say, "Hah-zive", we say "No mate, it's HSV". If we go over there & say "Cuss-co", they will say "No, it's Coo-sco". It just makes things easier. For example, speak a normal sentence & then just say "greedeh" somewhere in the middle. That wouldn't really sound right. Get a japanese person to say it, and you wouldn't notice anything wrong. That's all it is.

A Current Affair Tonight 15th 6:30pm
ossie_21 replied to nfi's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Maybe if we're lucky we can get to see some sped up images of imports on the street in fast foward AGAIN!!! -
It's all down to the translation & pronounciation of it all. Speaking to a guy today who has a 32R & a Celsior, his cousin can read Japanese writing so he got her to read something in the celsior. She looked & instantly said "Shifto lock". He said oh, shift lock. She says, yeah thats what I said. And he says no, you said shifto lock. To us, it's shift lock. To them, shifto lock to translate to english. They write & read a bit differently so there will always be things like this. To me, you are going to know what the other person is on about, you are not going to lose a limb for saying GReddy the wrong way, and so what? Who gives a shit.

Managed to suss it all out today, was a problem that would have happened eventually anyway. All came down to a flat spot because no fuel was being delivered with what I mentioned. Really shit at electronics & wiring , but one of the wires running from the wolf3d had a problem, and it was telling the fuel pump not to put any fuel through, so this made the flat spot at idle/takeoff. There was no fuel pressure here, and after a few ideas we checked what it could be but traced it back to the ecu. A bit of cutting the problem joiner & soldering the wires back was all it took. Strange because it was fine when cruising, but at idle was stuffed. To fix it just needed trial & error. Then when that was all sorted, started it up again & was fine, except then it was blowing black smoke from the exhaust. "Oh shit" I thought, so went to the tuner's shop (noticed the car wouldn't boost either) because we thought it would have to go on the dyno, waited while a car got a safc tune, then when the tuner went to bring in the car saw the smoke, immediately knew the map sensor line had a kink in it & it was problem solved Turns out when the ECU was put back into the kick panel that was where the line got bent. I had a smile on my face all the way home today, no stalling, no delay with acceleration & got my 350hp back with no dramas.

Can't find much in a search but then again I'm not really sure on what to look for so here goes..... I noticed it yesterday & it was worse today, but when I go to take off, the revs will all of a sudden drop & almost or does stall. I stalled 4 times today, and since I have had my car I had stalled once, so that gives you an idea something is wrong. As I am coming off the clutch & put revs on, it all seems normal until the revs just drop. This afternoon on the freeway I was doing 100 & took my foot off the accelerator & back on, and there isn't an instant reaction. It's the first time this has happened. Then tonight I took it for a drive when there was less traffic to see if I could get an idea, it was the same. I even tried to hold the revs steady at 3k, and it was rough going up & down. I popped the bonnet & used my hand to rev the engine, and the revs would drop before going up. It's like a lag thing going on, it takes a second before doing anything & it's got me stuffed. I'm hoping that someone has maybe had this problem before & can tell me what is going on & whats needed to fix it, I will try to get it looked at tomorrow anyway but I'm hoping it's something easy My car has done 90,000k, it still has the original timing belt (just over 10yrs old) it's starting to make a sort of knocking sound & will be replaced shortly anyway, could this maybe be the problem? Any advice/ideas/beer would be welcome, thanks.

Time & a place for everything etc etc........ Wherever your going, make sure you get there first, not how quickly you get there.
