  1. hahaha, just like a guy I know got into his Impul's engine bay with a high pressure hose, and then found his windscreen wipers to run by themselves. Driving through the middle of the city on a warm night with your wipers going isn't the greatest look.
  2. On my way home from tafe today somewhere in Sth Perth I seen unleaded for $1.28 (ultimate plus 9c $1.37), and then near my house at 2 BP's both were $1.38 ($1.47)!!! How the f**k can BP justify the difference in price?????????
  3. This is only 5-10mins away from my house, will have to make the effort to go.
  4. Depends if there was a repair on warranty or not really, but no matter what take it back to the place that did it & say why the f**k is this happening when it was fixed by you 3 weeks ago <insert random insult at them here>. If it on warranty it's all good & they should give you another one starting over again, if it isn't the very least they should do is fix it again at a lower cost. Otherwise, name & shame & go elsewhere!!! Good luck bro.
  5. Hope this helps.
  6. I've got a kit sitting in my room, just waiting on the tools to fit it. I will try & scan the page now & post it up for you. Give me about 5mins.
  7. I blame the government. Pricks.
  8. While we are on the subject of motorbikes, have to love the ones that sit right behind you on the freeway for no apparent reason ie I was on the middle lane of 3 @100kph, no traffic either side & he decided to tailgate for a while instead of picking another lane.
  9. Let's not forget this is a WRX valued at 55k plus, against Gts-t's that with some mods maybe 20-25k. Throw an extra 30 grand into a gts-t & it would chop the WRX, except off the launch.
  10. If I had no other ways of getting home, and that was all thats available, I would use it, preferably with octane booster. I only use 98 from day 1.
  11. What about the riders that go down the middle of the lanes???? Only a matter of time before one rides straight into a car changing lanes because they are trying to get through the traffic.
  12. Personally I haven't & probably never would play with an SS or similar, I would expect it to be a cop.
  13. pmsl Haven't had this before, although you do get "looks".
  14. Motorsports pride themselves on safety in the event of a crash, they keeper barriers to a minimum & don't have light poles less than a metre from the side of the track like most streets in Perth. The islands you are talking about are actually put in to lower speeds on residential streets, however too many of them are wwwwaaaaayyyyy too small. I wasn't in my Skyline but I was driving down a street near leederville one day, there were every 25m apart (you really don't need that many), and I hit 2 of them, they were that small. I'm never going down there again, I tell you that. Agree with all of what you said.
  15. Why not get it dyno tested before & after you have the PowerFC??? Will give you a good idea of what power you haven't got out of it yet, and when you have the ECU you can see first hand exactly how much a simple computer change can give you.
  16. At first I thought maybe you bought the house a girl at work is selling because she is going back to Melbourne, but she sold that last week. That will teach me to look at the date of the post. Good to see more people NOR, don't know about the housewarming though!!
  17. The one I imported already had the sunroof, was a big selling factor. And like Kym, in summer it will be a very good thing to take advantage of.
  18. RIP that car & it's passengers. Look at the rim repair thread on this forum, there is some posts from a guy who will paint them for you & everything, just look at that thread for more info.
  19. I have a full alarm too, that lowered the quote a fair bit.
  20. 19yo 17k insured 95 gtst 5spd sunroof, adj susp, pod filter, cat back exhaust, rims, steering wheel & will have fmic & strut brace added next week or so. $2064 full comp with just cars.
  21. I seen a silvia on the mitchell fwy last week with a wheel off................
  22. I read a good article in ASM a while back, you might have heard it, but this is what happened anyway. The former editor of the magazine had a GTR (r33 I think) he was going to sell, and the insurance ran out. Because he was going to sell it & kept it in garage he didn't renew, and then one night decided to take it & get some KFC. Long story short, ended up nearly getting carjacked after his car was hit from behind by a stolen wrx, and the brant alarm & keypad saved him from having a 45k loan for an empty space in his driveway. He said if he was insured he would have just given them the keys instead of running away, chased with a baseball bat & axe, and hit by a car.
  23. I seen a pinkish-white 33 that was complied with a grey wing, black front bar & white skirts. Everyone knows the bodykit is going straight back on, but the car needs to be completely stock.
  24. I didn't even get the number, until the package arrived! It took 3 and a half weeks for a turbo timer, which I thought was too long, but I got it before my car anyway so it wasn't a big deal. Also heard a few people got hit with an extra fee for something pretty expensive (like turbos), from customs I think. Heard they are trying to crack down on getting cheap things sent like this instead of going into Australian performance shops. Seems strange, since their would come in the same way, just from someone else.
  25. Don't mean to be rude, but that was probably in a standard beamer (correct me if I'm wrong), but in a car like ours (modified imports), the coppers trump card is "open your bonnet". You just can't win. I haven't tried that because I haven't been pulled over, but I know people who have. Not all cops are bad, but there are some that take advantage of their job & will do whatever they can to screw you over. Not going to leave a huge reply but Scott I agree with most of what you posted.
