  2. Put me down for a 33 brace too please.
  3. Put me down for a 33 one too please.
  4. Put me down for one for a 33 as well.
  5. Pssstttt...............look at his avatar.
  6. A mate of mine was pulled over in his trueno (wasn't speeding), and when the cop came to the window he said he was "exceeding the speed limit by 17kmh". Considering he wasn't speeding, my mate then says "Can I see your readout then???" Without answering the question, said cop says to pop the hood. You still have to be careful in the way you talk to them regardless, because the police trump card is their ability to search cars for defects (and they will find something), meaning if they really want to f*ck you over they will f*ck you over. Remember that's not offensive in the courts of Australia. But back to the topic at hand he shouldn't have been able to speak to you like that, but just get a voice recorder & keep it in your glovebox for if there is a next time.
  7. Can you even get Optimax in Perth, or will it be available soon??? Not that I have really looked, but on the shell website for a search nothing at all comes up.
  8. Those tyres are missing waaaaayyyyyyyyy too much tread, I think you might have to lower the price to rims only.
  9. Seems a pretty difficult situation mate............................. From your side of the story it seems that you tried to do the best you could to describe them, he knew what to expect before he had even seen them. Obviously the tyre shop won't accept responsibility (be a good idea to find out who it was, it could be a dodgy place, but don't mention names in here), but from my view once he has agreed to buy them, thoroughly inspected them & taken possession of them, they are no longer anything to do with you. For the other guy I would just say bad luck, & to get 2 tyres for free from the shop that is the most likely to have damaged them. I don't think anyone would be silly enough to sell damaged tyres, or even sillier to buy them. Good luck with it all.
  10. JCI do screw you with that additional excess that dosen't even say what it is for. Just hope you don't have to make a claim.
  11. Yeah, coz you know how many fatal accidents there are on that horror stretch of the Kwinana Freeway.
  12. Tube & fin flow better (due to core construction), but don't cool as well as bar & plate. If you have mild mods then a bar & plate would be best, if you have a highly modified car then tube & fin. Most stock coolers are tube & fin because they have less restriction, but the manufacturers disregard the temp of air going through.
  13. I'm interested if it goes okay with the 33 & is all legit.
  14. Don't worry about changing it, we can see your name is Scott & you are 19, and sorry to point out the other part but GOT BOOST is twice your age. I think dan the man would be able to change it, try a pm.
  15. I spoke to the import broker today, and while he said he isn't an expert on diffs he thinks it is also something to do with the oil. He will be speaking to someone next week about getting a good oil for it, and hopefully after that it will be okay. I probably would regret going to a stock one, but making turns just sounds very painful, and I can't really accelerate too much out of roundabouts, because it just dosen't feel right. I wouldn't swap with someone if there is a problem with it obviously, but even after we try a new oil if it knocks too much for my liking I will probably switch it over.
  16. Yeah, I thought it was normal but it just sounds a bit *too* much, would like to get it checked out all the same. It seems more suited to drag car, there is no problem in a straight line.
  17. Hey mate, It seems like a bit of a problem because it can't be proved when it actually happened, on the ship from Japan, off the ship at Freo or somehow during transport. It might be difficult to get someone to take the blame for it, but maybe you will just have to get it repaired for a couple of hundred. Not the broker's fault at all, but just try to get onto the Japanese supplier, after all you asked them to take it off & they even said they were going to but didn't. Good luck with it all though.
  18. Okay, I have got my car licenced & registered today, I am extremely happy with the way it turned out, but there is just one problem with it. It has an aftermarket LSD, that I think is a 2-way that sounds pretty nasty. When turning, mostly parking style but also turning as normal, there is a knocking sound from the diff, that pretty much happens all the time. It just sounds really bad, and dosen't seem normal at all. It dosen't really do it in reverse either. It is fine in a straight line (makes take-off very good), but turning is another story. I don't know too much about them, but to me this seems like a bit of a problem!!! At first I thought it was maybe a bit tight or has locked up due to one wheel having to go further than the other, but I just really can't say for sure. I was just wondering if anyone knows somebody that could help me out, preferably somebody with quite a bit of knowledge & experience to do with this sort of thing, so if you can it will be much appreciated.
  19. Remember people, they are in WA to SAVE LIVES!!!!!!!! (which is why a very big majority of them are used where there is very unlikely to be a fatal accident, let alone an accident). Just too bad that they resort to sneak tactics yet again to raise even more money, but it is just a thing we will have to get used to I'm afraid.
  20. Considering most stock bov's leak in between 12-15psi, that's where the bullshit factor come into it, and if you're not bullshitting your losing power. I'm sure running 17psi with it is doing your turbo a world of good too.
  21. Yeah, when I took my car for a drive once it was cleared by customs it made that sound, turns out there was a screw in the stock bov, so they had blocked it off for that sound. Sound was sweet, but does the turbo no good. I haven't heard the sequential bov, would it make a similar sound though????
  22. Agree with him, and tell him to get more than 1!!!!!
  23. Ok, I have to come out with some defence now.............. The day my car was cleared by customs I seen it, and while I was there, so with this one in compliance spec. That was 2 months ago, so it seems there must have been problems with the car that it wouldn't/didn't pass the pits, such as the one you've mentioned, over-boosting etc. I don't want to sound like a prick but buying a car with those mods that looks like that is a risk, because it would have been thrashed, and your mate should have known about the risks involved. And if you're going to mention bad things about businesses don't mention their names, it's against the forum rules, especially if they are about problems that were possibly there before. Tell your mate good luck with getting it all fixed, I would advise him getting it tuned proffesionally ASAP, otherwise that could lead to even more problems nobody wants to see!! Check the sponsors thread about Hyperdrive, see if they could help him out.
  24. A tube & fin fmic will provide better flow, but won't cool as well, and are also more expensive than bar & plate. My opinion, if you have the space go a large core bar & plate, or if you want something smaller then tube & fin. Also, if your car is mildly modified, bar & plate is better, if it is highly modifed then tube & fin is better. OK class, summary: Street use - Bar & Plate. Racing use - Tube & Fin. Class dismissed, let's get on the piss. :headspin:
  25. Fair enough, but why did she want to know who you were friends with so badly??? Sounds like she needs some sense knocked into her drunk ass.
