  1. With the brokers payment you mentioned of $1100 & you're location I have a very good idea of who you went through, and from what I have heard about him I am glad I went with someone else.................................. I honestly wish you the best of luck though, but if I am sure of who your broker is, he wouldn't have provided you with a guarantee on the vehicles condition. IMO you have been ripped off/decieved with this car, and really the broker should be held responsible. I suggest you find out your rights before anything else.
  2. Two front headlights wouldn't go astray for me, I have just imported & they are a bit on the yellow side, probably been sitting for too long. I reckon I would be able to clean it, will find out once it's on the road. Otherwise if someone knows a place for these let me know please.
  3. Well, he certainly seemed like an idiot. Those holden drivers sure do hate imports!!!! Turboz rool ok.
  4. Hahahaha! I haven't yet experienced the "joy" of being pulled over yet, but I'm sure when I get my car registered it won't take long. Just hearing the stories like that piss me off, not breaking any rules but they manage to cost you money anyway, while quite possibly cars that were speeding until they seen the cop on the side of the road don't get anything. And let's not mention the break-ins, bashings, arson, and drug dealing that go on while the constabulary defect people's pride & joys. I have an aunt & uncle interstate (Vic & Qld) in the police force, my brother in the Military Police & my grandad was a chief prison guard in Victoria years ago in charge of watching chopper reid & the like, but you still get cops like this who are either jealous of someones car or go after the easy targets because the ***king government want money from everywhere. And while we are on the subject I also absolutely hate boy bands & that tart who does seven news.
  5. I certainly hope it isn't in the middle of the windscreen, because I beleive you are right about it being diagonal making it a worse offence. Every yellow sticker I have seen has been in the corner, but if it is on diagonally it means you were screwing around at the same time, and if it's in the middle of the windscreen diagonally it means you were being an absolute idiot. It's seems you weren't doing anything wrong, so it really shouldn't be on like that, the cop that pulled you over must be a :whackit: . I remember there was a police sting a while ago in Scarbrough, and it was on the news. A yellow 34 was doing burnouts & donuts & this was all being watched & taped (there was heaps of people around), and then the cops moved in. On the news they showed the cop putting the sticker on diagonally right in the middle of the windscreen. Hopefully you will be okay with it, but deffo get some new tires with winter coming up. I have heard some people going through the pits that just turn their bov down (if adjustable), and don't even change their rims. But with the diagonal sticker, they might screw you over....................
  6. Yeah, I took the black 33 for a spin. Earlier I had driven the white one he was selling at the same time, but it wasn't as responsive as the black one, which I was interested in. The car that I will have in a couple of weeks (burgundy 33) is even better with that, I don't think it understands that turbo's have lag. :headbang: And it wasn't me with the Prelude though.
  7. Thanks Dan, I think it was just gas. But I'm alright now.
  8. i feel left out................
  9. Sounds like a bit of a problem if it's still happening, if you do have to replace it go heavy duty. Get something strong that won't get you like this will. Still hope it works out for you though!!!
  10. Hope everything works out well, hopefully just one of those things.
  11. 7 on, 7 off, 3 on, 3 off is barely even work!!!! But how long do you work each day???????? Nice stuff though, good luck.
  12. As far as I know, the car has to be 100% stock when it goes over the pits, and when it has been registered the workshop can get their stuff back & give back your mods. So the pedals should be switched over & the gauges removed (by the way the setup sounds, get it done again properly) & any other mods changed.
  13. Yes you do. You can admit it............................ :headspin:
  14. I was interested in buying from there a while ago, and he said that if I wanted an exhaust & rims then we could sort out a deal. I think they would take the standard ones back to drop the price too. Didn't know what price though, just guessed but if it's around a grand then it sounds good to me. Don't knock The Everton, we have Timmy the Blue Kangaroo.
  15. Yeah, I am waiting on the stickers as well. How big/many are the stickers in question btw????????? And can I get a member thing under my nick too if it isn't a hassle.
  16. Was a cop on his motorbike with a radar gun on Elliot Rd this arvo, I got a warning from some dude before I came over the hill so I kept to 50, and he was standing right on the corner of the street I need to turn into. The wet weather had shifted some dirt into the corner, and as I was turning the wheels skidded on it (this is right next to him) and straight away I was thinking he would come after me. That feeling I got is :bs!: because that is all it takes now to get your car impounded. I don't have my 'line yet, but I can guarantee he would have come after me if I was. He had a look at me to make sure I didn't do anything else but everything else was ok. I turned my music down as well, radar gun cops hate that, most of the time I just drive past them & they have a look.
  17. You're obviously more worried about this than I am driftt, I suggest you don't even let it worry you because it's not your car. He runs a reputable business & wouldn't make a mistake he knows he would regret.
  18. Dryncing mayks u mipsel wirds so t taks longer to tipe. Yeah, he was very helpful & if anyone is thinking of going through him it is recommended!!!!! If I am not mistaken the exhaust was cat-back & the rims 17"?????? I think it was both for 2k extra (should less if you haggle with him).
  19. Yes, and nothing. The workshop is Danny's, he has rights for compliance of 33's. I have had a look, the repair was only small & is clean, & his opinion of what has happened was that it hit or was hit on the LH fender, not like it has smashed into a wall at speed. I don't think there will be any problems with it at all, it is a very clean car & work will begin as soon as tomorrow, if not in the next few days. He is getting slammed at the moment unfortunately.
  20. I have used the search function, but it didn't really answer what I need to know, so I am hoping someone could help me out. Right, I am importing a 33 gts-t with some mods, and I want to get permits to keep any hassle to a minimum. What I need to know is does an engineer need to inspect these mods, or can I get them in advance???? I have had a look on the DPI site & it says something about requesting approval to modify, but it dosen't really make sense to me. If they need to inspected, can they be done at any pits??? I think there is one at Warwick, which is the closest to where I live. Otherwise I can get it straight away at Welshpool when I collect my car. Hopefully someone can help me out, these are all the mods the car has at current, and I won't have the standards : Adjustable suspension Airpod Rims Exhaust (cat-back, pretty quiet anyway) Muffler (why it's quiet) Steering Wheel Leather gearshift (only included this because it seems some cops will look for eeevvveerryyyttthiiinnngg) Of these, what can/can't be permitted (exhausts seem to be VERY inconsistent)??? Hope someone can help me out!!!
  21. Way to mis-spell discount jxl, was wondering wtf was happening for a minute. My mum went skydiving about a month ago, she still gets a buzz of it. She got a dvd of it (paid like over $300 to get it, because the person had to jump too), and watches it at least once every couple of days. Absolutely loved it. re your side note, were you speeding when you passed?? As in technically speeding, 85 in a 80 zone, or were you being a naughty boy doing about 100kph?? Would have sucked seeing the cop going slower & slower as you come up to him, knowing he was going to pull you over. At least you had permits though. I am importing a car with some mods, so I will get incredible shit if I don't get them, even if they aren't major mods.
  22. yeah, Paul was a big help when I was looking. I was after a 95 gts-t, and he had a nice stock black one there, and because it was a yard was asking 21k before 2005. When the year changed, he dropped the price by 1k but I had already offered what I felt was a fair price for it ($18k) & he couldn't sell it for that, but he had no problems with me having a test drive, was very helpful. But now I am getting an even better one imported for just under 17k, and it looks awesome. That has an a/m exhaust, adj. suspension, kickass rims & a couple of other little mods that will save me $$$$ too. Seen it on Monday, and will have it within 2 weeks. And I found out the a/m steering wheel is worth $400 too, insane.
  23. I have bought this, not much of a chance to play it yet, I just looked around the whole map, did about 5 b licence tests bought a car to start with (Lancer evoII I think). A question I do have though, I haven't had the time to earn cash from it but is there a difference between modding your car (for example) at ralliart, compared to buying something from the tuning shop (HKS, Apex'i, blitz etc)????? I was just wondering if your car got more/less power, or maybe the game would add decals to your car or something. The one thing I wish they did bring back from the original GT is the racing modification, where the car becomes race-looking (different coloured paint, manufacturing stickers etc), don't think you can do that in this. Guess you have to earn about a million & just buy the Penzoil GT-R or something then.
  24. Just read through that, almost 3 years ago, hell I didn't even have my L's back then!! That seemed like one hell of a cruise though, nice.
  25. Phoungy, what's up???? It probably would just make it easier to buy a manual, instead of having it converted from automatic, but if you want to go that way read through this thread - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=63000 The difference in price between manual & auto would probably be lost with the conversion price anyway, although you would have new components.
