i have HKS coilovers on my car. i reckon that on the softest setting they are perfectly fine for normal driving. Of course it aint going to be no fricking lexus cos thats not the reason u bought em - u can feel the bumps and potholes, but they won't make u go 'Ouch!! my poor car!!'

I have a quick shifter kit in my 'line. Do i need to use different gearbox oil? Does it even affect it at all? I find that when cold, the gears are rather notchy and rough.

Are there different types of HID? Like is this HID going to be way crappier than say the standard HIDs that come with the R34s or say a BMW?

SydneyKid - Great information - So after your explanation about the FMIC, are you suggesting that getting a FMIC may not be the best option for road driving as lag and response times are increased? OR are you saying that getting FMIC and then correctly tuning it will provide gains?

Hey all, if you have the e-manage with the injector and ignition harness, does the e-manage do everything that the pFC does? Cos bottom line u want to have similar functionality for both of the units before u can really do a comparison. If a base e-manage can only do fuel timings then it is very limited compared to the pFC. Is that correct?

r Hey i got HKS suspension - i sound like a chimp, but, how do i adjust the damping of them? I got the tools too my rear shockers stick out into the rear parcel. is that the same with all u HKS doods? If i set the damping softer, when i go over bumps, will my wheels (less than than a finger width from the guards) now hit my guards?

hrm i got the DTT. yep no needles, and it 'seems' to be accurate. can set the peak hold and boost warning like a normal gauge, so i guess it is similar

Good luck with the fair trading stuff As a point of note, I would say by personal experience only to get an inspection better than the NSW RACV vehicle inspection equivalent. Cos they do a more detailed check than a RWC (which is basically nothing) and nothing with regards to engine internals are checked meaning when u get the car and get a proper service u are left with a big bill. Get a full VACC inspection where they put it on the hoist instead. my 2c
