  1. franks - so how can we lower the rich-ness of the a/f mixture as a result of a standard ecu and aftermarket zorst? is the best solution something like a SAFC or e-manage?
  2. rotten luck i guess. hey does that mean any sort of device that alters standard boost settings is actually defectable? don't say 'they can defect u on anything' - i mean, if u were in court and u work the legalities, a bleed valve is actually illegal?

  8. do you hear this ALL the time, or is it only when u are braking? i am probably paranoid but i get scraping when i come to a stop slowly. i think this time it is the brake pad against the rotor.
  9. I got Kumho Supra 712s in 255/40/17. When the car got off the boat, it had completely BALD yokohamas (dun wanna think what they had been doing with my car before it got here). I didnt go the Kumho 711s cos their tread pattern looked shittier than the 712s They are pretty good price and are not too bad at the moment (only driven a couple of thousand on em so far). What does everyone think of this tyre?
  10. How about a nice daily driver car like a lightly modded up R33 GTR VSpec II. Then u can use the rest of the money to get like at s14 or 180. Mod the SHIT out of it and use it as a drift car on weekends. What a dream.

  13. what is the effect of having an aftermarket zorst when upping the boost to 10psi? robo - what does heat soak feel like? is it worth gettting a FMIC when u are only going to up the boost to the stock turbo's safe limits?

  17. yeah it only seems logical to increase boost cos 1) the engine will take it no problems 2) the factory boost setting is quite conservative 3) the stock turbo is able to withstand higher boost (not too high though!!) 4) the stock intercooler should be able to handle round 10-11 psi of boost... i think

  21. 95GTST what is your opinion about FMICs? Why cant u go past it? Why get the SAFCII, FMIC and fuel pump when u dun even got a boost controller, bleed valve?
  22. Lots if differing opinions definitely. - FMIC sounds like it is not worth it for mild mods. But isnt it worth it if u get such a good drop in intake temps? Will u get temperature problems if u run a GTST on higher boost on hot days? - Can u really get ~5rwkw just by putting a CAI + Pod filter on?? - Does upgrading a fuel pump mean u need to get a SAFC or get a management system for it? BoostD - r u running any other mods to require the fuel pump? Turbos?
  23. Like Milo I am a noob. Few qs If u wind the boost to around 10-12psi, would it be safer to get a FMIC? Or would getting a cheaper intercooler like a GTR one be a better bet? with mild mods would getting an e-manage be sufficient? Or would the power fc be a better bet (cos once u feel the boost, u wanna mod more and more) Great post keep the suggestions coming
  24. Even though I am Melbourne, I got my car complianced there. They are extremely helpful over the phone and they did a good neat job for compliancing. Hope that helps
